Hi all just a quick post in between errands. I took the kids to the doc today and they are doing better DS is pretty much over it and DD is at the end of the virus. Now I just have to get DH through it, lol. I got my hair trimmed today and picked up an avon catalog and looked at some makeup at the store. God there's alot of it. It's been awhile since I bought any so right now I'm in choice shock. Any suggestions? I tried to find a cute little outfit but alas nothing fit right. I'll catch up on posts later. I hope everyone is well. I'm OP for the day so far. Actually I'm having trouble getting calories in. (Darn those low cal veggies ) Well I'll check back in later.

TOPS weigh-in is tonight. My overall week averaged:

1500 cals/day (want 1500-1700)
224 cholesterol/day (want <300)
3791 sodium (want<2400)
49 fiber/day

And I just had my first gym workout today. Boy, am I out of shape. I had to huff through 5 and 10 minutes on 4 different things. LOL !

Good evening everyone!

Today was a typical busy Monday. I had 1553 calories today and I somehow managed to squeeze in 42 grams of fiber.

Tinky - Thanks for the encouragement. I'm going to keep plugging away at this.

timmyshawn - That formula definately sounds like it would be high for me. I'm glad that the kids are feeling better. That sounds like a horrible virus.

Zenor - Sounds like you've got time to get the dog around kids. We had a cat when my son was born. We put out the baby stuff and let the cat get used to it. I had my mom bring home some stuff from the hospital that had baby smell on it before we got home so he could get used to it. It seemed to work well, but it was a cat not a dog.

Bobbi -

Theresa - 12 pounds is awsome! You have such a positive attitude. I know you'll keep it up. And yes, slow and steady does win the race, at least that is what I tell myself every time I attempt jogging.

Laura - I sent you a private message.

Petra - Congrats on the 146! I hope to join you there, but it might take me a little while to catch up.

Coolmom - Thank you for that link. I like the looks of that carrier. Now I just need to convince DH that we need it!

littlered- Congrats on the weight loss! Doesn't it feel great?!

Lara- Sorry you had a bad weekend, I hope everything works out the way it should. BTW, sounds like the guy should be charged with cruelty to animals and assult. Hang in there!

Zenor- You're pic looks great, and you look so happy! WTG!
About your puupy, I would be concerned myself. Take the puppy to the park while you're waiting for the class to start. I have watched The Dog Whisperer a few times, that guy works miracles with dogs. I know he has a book out. I would definetly see what he advises.

Petra- I understand how tempting those darn donut holes are. I had a run in with left over carrot cake from my party on Saturday. Errrr....it was so good....at least I didn't eat it all, right? That's gotta count for something?!?

timmyshawn- glad to hear your kids are feeling better. That virus sounded aweful!

Coolmom- WTG on the first work out at gym!!! You are motivation to me!

lovemyboy-

Here's to staying OP tomorrow! G'night everyone!

I haven't posted in a while. We've been out of town for a graduation. Then my MIL fell and broke her shoulder (she's 73, so it's a big deal) and my husbadn has a 2 day interview in NC later this week.

I'm going to be staying with my parents until Friday. It's just too hard to care for the kiddies by myself for several days. I have a travel pass to Curves, so I'll continue to work out. I got my dad to buy stuff for me at the grocery store so I can stay on plan.

Today's calories were just under 2000, which is awesome for being away from home. I'm just trying to maintain my weight until I get home. A loss would be nice, but I just want not to gain. Being away from home is so hard!!! My parents know what I'm doing though.

Hopefully I'll get to post each day, but there's dial-up here so it's a pain.

Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Calories-1620
Fat- 30g

No exercise today but tomorrow me and DD #2 have a day a the park planned. We are going to hike the 3mile trail and then on the other side of the park they have a fitness trail with stations set up along the way that tells you which exersise to do (push ups, sit ups, pull ups, lunges, squats etc). There are 18 stations in all spaced out along a half mile trail and she loves doing them with me. She thinks of it as a play time. (She'll be 6 in 2 weeks so anything we do together, outside, is playtime.) It really makes it fun having her with me. She makes me laugh and I almost feel like a kid again while we're doing it just because of her excitement! Plus I have to keep up with her energetic little self so my pace doesn't slow down and she doesn't let me stop until we get to the end! After that we're going to the playground at the park so that I can push her on the swings and see saw with her and just let her run around and have fun.

GrammyL- I am so sorry that you and your daughter are going through so much. I hope everything works out well and that the judge does the right thing cause it sounds like it was self defense.

petra- Congrats on the 146! It must feel awsome!

Zenor- Good luck with training the puppy. It is better to start now with getting them used to children that way when you do have little ones there won't be too much shock for the dog. What kind of puppy is it?

Coolmom-WTG on the workout! It'll get easier! When I first started at the gym I couldn't do 10 min on a treadmill without almost falling over. The last time I was in I did 25 min on a 6 incline at a speed of 3.5 and then did some on an eliptical. One step at a time and you're doing great!!!

Cjc- I hope your MIL is ok! GL to your DH on his interview. And gl to you with staying OP with everything that's going on!

I hope everyone else is doing well and has a great day tomorrow! I'll TTYL.

Luc's Mom~ I think I saw his book at the library. I'll have to check it out and see if it's something I want to buy. BTW, Thanks for the compliment.

Just an quick update. She is out, she pleaded not guilty and they guy that accused her left the state. Probably because he relizes that it could come back on him for domestic violence and animal abuse. She goes in front of the judge tomorrow. She said she never wants to do that again and is swearing off men for a while. I joked with her a little and told her she doesn't look good on TV and shouldn't make this a habit and that her hair stunk. I had to do something to lighten the mood because we were both crying. We then went home and got DGS, YDD and all went to dinner. She was so happy to be home but he trashed the place and cranked the heat as high as it would go and locked everything up. So it was super hot in there and stunk because of the trash.

Good Morning everyone!!! Glad to see the site back up again. It was down last night. I haven't plugged in my numbers yet, but will do that after I post.
I upped my Elliptical to 40 mins. Wooo....5 more minutes does make a difference, but it feels good afterwards.

GrammyL- So happy to see that the situation has lightened up a bit. That punk can run, but it will surely nip him in the butt one day! Man that's terrible that he trashed her place.

Timmyshawn- Have a great time out!! It sounds like you guys will have a ball! Good to hear that the kids are feeling better.

CJC-
Good luck to your DH on his interview. Glad to see that you're sticking to the plan, and that you have supportive parents. That always feels good!

Coolmom- How did your weigh in go? Did you like what you saw?

Petra- Hope your daughter gets to feeling better!!!

Well I'll be back later, gotta get back to work. Have a great day!

Zenor ~ It is unclear to me who did what first because he makes it sound like he did something first and then she makes it sound like she did. The dog according to her never growled at anyone and my DD's girlfriend went and talked to the little girl she supposedly growled at and the little girl said she never saw the dog. According to DD they were fighting over DGS hair because he wanted her to shave his head and she told him that we don't like his head shaved. So he was mad at the DD and went out to get something out of his car and his dog followed so he picked her up and threw her in the house. She is an old dog she didn't deserve that, she is 13. DD stepped in and he shoved her and she slapped him in the face. Then he punched her in the chest and then she tried to get DGS and he wouldn't let her in to get him and when she did finally get past him and get DGS he wouldn't let them leave so she punched him in the face knocking down and she got out. He called the law. No one understands why he wasn't arrested and if they would have listened and checked his car they would have had him on drug charges to go along with everything else but they didn't. It is just a major mess. Hopefully tomorrow will be the end of it.

WOW so much going on here.

Timmyshawn ~ Your DH has it now, that is worse than the kids isn't it? I feel for you. Sounds like you had some fun. I can't seem to get cloths to fit me right now either. I am inbetween sizes on shirts which is so irritating. My head swims each time I look at make up and I buy it all the time. Look at foundations. There are all kinds of promises and forms out there. I just grab and go. That trail sounds like a lot of fun. I wish we had something like that around here. We do have lots of parks and trails but nothing like that.

Carrie ~ OUCH! I am sending healing thoughts to your MIL. Hope the interview goes well for your DH. I don't blame you one bit for not wanting to take on all the kids by yourself. They are so young.

Zenor ~ I took the girls and DGS out to dinner last night and I chose a Fajita chicken salad and it was so salty that I am up .2 lbs this morning and can feel the bloat. I was so thirsty afterward that I drank two big glasses of water before I went to bed and never got up until the alarm and even then didn't have to go potty real bad. So I am sure all that water is still in my system.

So does anyone have any great finds on the food front this week or easy to make meals. I really enjoy everything I have but like to get ideas. I couldn't find my low calorie wasa's at Super Wal-mart so I have to stop at Kroger tonight.

I bought Morning Star Chicken Patty's this time instead of Boca and I like the Morning Star better. There is a slight difference but enough to make me continue to boy the Morning Star.

Well I better get going and talk at you all later.

Happy Tuesday everybody! The sun is shining and it is warm outside! Was going to take my uncle and the boys swimming at the YMCA today, we always go on Tuesdays. But I see my DD has a doctor appointment at 3:30- which totally messes up the swim schedule. So I am thinking on heading out to the park. Go for a walk on the beach along Lake Huron. I swear the only nice thing about living here is the Great Lakes!

Lara- Glad to hear things are better now. That guy sounds like a creep!

Natalia- I made that lemon yogurt/ jello mixture last night. Put a couple of crushed graham crackers on the bottom of dish, topped with a serving of filling, then topped it all off with light whipped cream. OH my gosh! It was to die for! Tasted like the WW key lime cheesecake dessert filling. I love my sweets.

Gotta run gals. Hope you all have a great day!

Grammy, it sounds like a hard couple of days for you! I'm sorry your daughter is trying to give her mama grey hairs .

-------------

My TOPS weigh in was good. Another 2 pounds lost. Its a nice, small group of people. It makes it personable and motivating. They have little contests and prizes for the biggest loser and such. Jason says I'm always coming home with stuff LOL. Last week they tallied up the weight loss for April, and I had lost the most so won $10. The fee for the group is only $6 a month, so I'm actually making money by going and losing. haha!

---------------

Okay, so I need to drag myself to the gym for day two. The motivating factor was that during my last adventure in post-partum weight loss, I was in a size 14 at this same weight, yet I am still in a size 16. The 14s wouldn't even slide over my hips. Ummm, yeah...guess its time to hit the gym. LOL

Well we went to the park today. We played on the playground first and then about halfway to the trail my stomach started churning so we had to come home and boy I'm glad I did. DH has given the wonderful gift of the virus to me. I am having alot of trouble eating so I don't know how my calories will end up for the day.

Tinky- Wtg on the workout!!

GrammyL- I am glad your DD is home now and I hope you all had a great time at dinner. WTG on the food choice!

Luc's mom- I hope your DD feels better. Walking on the beach sounds so fun!

CoolMom- WTG on the 2 lb loss!! Congrats!

Well I'm off to lie down for a bit before I have to make dinner. TTYL
