    RockNRoll-
Hi! Are those your calorie averages daily? They seem a bit low.
umm for the past week they have been like that. Before then i was getting around 1400 calories a day and i was not losing. Then, i got a REALLY bad cold and could hardly eat anything for a day or two. Since then i have been satisfied with smaller portions and I have so much energy to workout. I think my cold shrunk my stomach?

    5-15 - 968 calories and 380 burned
    5-16 - 939 calories and 364 burned
  • Thanks for the welcome! Well... I survived the mammogram. lol. It wasn't bad at all. I don't know why I put it off for so long. I will get my results in 5 to 6 days. Tomorrow is the bone density test. And then I will be done with doctors for a couple of weeks. I really don't like going to the doctor.

It's late, so I am gonna make this short. I need to get in bed. Gotta get up early.

    TTYL,
    Sherry
  • Good morning!

    Hi Shea!

Hope you all are having better weather than we are in Mich. Gloomy & rainy for the past 3 days. Boy, I haven't posted for a couple of days, can't keep up around here, which is a good thing!

My life is feeling very unorganized lately. Going to stay home this weekend and clean, already warned my DD to not make plans for Friday. Case in point, I put my mustang keys somewhere last November! After 2 months of searching high & low, no keys. Okay, that cost me $90 for 2 new keys, car had to be towed, yada yada. So, I'm excited to get in my car and go for a joy ride, just some mindless meandering right? Then I realized that my new tags weren't on the plates! Renewed at the same time I put the car in storage....guess what? No tags to be found!!! Heading to Sec. of State today, now how much is that going to set me back?! I have got to get my act together ladies! So, add the other daily stressors & I had a minor melt down, told DH we were going out on a date on Friday. I can't remember the last time we went out to dinner (w/out kids). Going to hit the Mongolian BBQ, I can make good choices there! I think I just need a couple of hours of no kid time! LOL

Have been staying in calorie range, but not making the best choices. Pulled out my light cooking recipes last night to get some inspiration! Any one have good recipes? I made a light/ low fat macaroni salad the other night, I think that started my bad food choice fiasco. It was so good, too good!

I hope you all have a great day! BTW, if you have any excess sunshine send it up this way please!
  • Tinky ~ My injury is from a horse falling while I was ridding him and then he rolled back and forth on me and I was still in ridding position. I think he made a wish and was trying to break the wish bone, my hips to be exact but it didn't work but I did pull my groin.

The salad was even better than it sounds and I could eat another one tonight but I don't want to get bored with it, maybe tomorrow night when DH comes home. He loves this same salad but his will have to be with regular chicken strips and Franks hot sauce.

Zenor ~ Doesn't sound like you got the rain you needed to help with your allergies. I sure hope the tea does its wonders. I tried cleriton but hatted the side affects and decided just deal with it until it gets severe enough to make we go to the doctor. I still don't get as sick as you are, just swollen glands, soar throat in the morning and plugged ears. That is liveable. Congestion, that I can't deal with and would be at the doctors. I am a whimp when it comes to ucky lungs.
  • Sherry ~ I didn't think it was that bad either but I am rather busty (DD) which they say makes it easier.

Mary ~ Same experience here with the keys except I only lost one set and have debated on ordering another set. I am cheap and it doesn't have the chip in it that requires another you to go to the factory so I will probably just have one made. We have looked everywhere and can't find them. I really think DH or I left them somewhere. I agree that the weather her has been yuck. Yours worse than ours here but still it seems cold for this time of year. I go thru streaks fo staying in my calorie range but making bad choices and then clean it up for while.

Well I better head out and get some work done before everyone decides to swarm me.

    Talk at you all later.
  • Hi everyone
I just started slim in 6, I used to do pilates, but I figured I need some aerobics. It's not bad at all, but I'm only on the first phase, so we'll see. I have fitday on my laptop, but I've read in some threads that the calories are off. But on the other hand I'm very happy because I've been very good about my calories and I'm also counting fiber and protein and they've been in a good range for the past two weeks...so yay. Today we went out and I was so worried that I was going to go over my points, so when we stopped for a snack I got a banana and some pretzels and it worked out perfectly. Good luck everyone.
  • Good Morning everyone. After we had a record breaking day of sunshine and highs in the low low 80's, we've been having 2 days of gloomy, cloudy weather! LOL I guess I took all that California sunshine for granted when I lived there! Though I don't miss it too much. I'm so happy that I resisted getting on the scale. I'm one of those people who likes to hop on everyday. But luckily I put the scale in my bro's bathroom, to get me away from it! LOL

    RocknRoll-
Sorry you've been feeling bad. Well I guess if it's working for, then that's awesome!

Sherry- I hate going to the Dr.'s too....I get the white coat syndrome! LOL I think that's why my blood pressure spikes. (and I wonder how the heck am I comfortable going into the nursing world ?) LOL Ugh, I have an appt. with my Dr. this Mon. They've been buggin me about the annual Pap. So I guess I'll go.

Luc's Mom- DF is threatning to pin my keys to my clothes. He's afraid that I'll lose them. And they're very expensive to replace too. I told him it's his fault for buying an expensive car! Hahahahah! Yummy, Mongolian sounds good, it's pretty healthy too, you're basically making your own food choices, and sauce and oil choices. Sadly as much as I love to cook, I'm not really coming up with any fun dishes. I'm still in the afraid to abuse my calories budget mode. LOL!

GrammyL- all I can say is OUCH!
I know what you mean with the salad, I became fond of the "Jilpotle" bowl, but I don't want to burn out on it. Though I'm kinda wanting to see how long I can go before I get sick of it! LOL

Sunshine- I was going to get the Slim in 6, but ended up borrowing and keeping my friend's Turbo Jam series. I love it! The woman who leads it is pretty perky but it's fun! How many calories are you starting off with?

Well everyone, back to work. Talk to you all later.
  • Hi all! I feel sick as a dog!! But ya'll know how it is...mom's don't have time to be sick, lol. I have to get the house cleaned, laundry done, DD #2's lesson plan done for next week (she's homeschooled), yard mowed, activities scheduling done for next 2 weeks (we do it 2 weeks at a time so that we can schedule appts. without conflict), take the younger ones for pictures on Sat., DD#1 has her regional bowling tournament on Sat. (an hour and half drive from here.. her team placed 1st in the district), and the list goes on......Dh took a week off from work while he and the kids were sick so now he has to try and make some of those hours up so everything is left in my bucket to get done.

Zenor- have you tried a medicine called Guaifenex PSE. My doc prescribed it for me. (I've been on every allergy med imaginable because of congestion and such and I get bronchitis at least 3 times a year) This stuff has worked wonders. It is the generic name (which makes it cheaper) for Entex PSE. It cleared up my congestion in 4 days and I avoided bronchitis. I no longer take the allergy meds. If I start to get congested now he just gives this to me and in less than a week I'm great! THere is also an over the counter thing that is called (sp?) guaifenesin. This will take care of any mucous you have in your throat or chest or nose. It dries it out but it does not have the phenylephrine that the prescription does and that's the decongestant. Just a thought.

Anyway gotta go get busy. I hope everyone else is good. I'll TTYL.
  • Timmyshawn~ I think that is what is called Mucinex over the counter. It's a large does of guaifenesin (I can't spell it either.) It helps me from getting really sick, but it takes over two weeks to help. I guess my body is really good at mucus production. This is weird though. I don't have head congestion, just chest congestion. Usually that comes after a head cold, so I'm confused. I think it is allergies; they've been hitting everyone hard this year. It doesn't help that I live in an agricultural area. I've been using a vaporizer and the tea I got helps a lot, but I cant exactly wake up every hour at night to drink some. I took today off to see if I can lick this!
  • Guafenesin is just the active ingredient in cough medicines with expectorant
( the loose mucousy cough). It sure is hard to find for kids!! ds was sick a couple weeks ago with a cold and a mucousy cough and of about 50 different treatments I couold only find ONE children's cough medicine with expectorant!! and it was Buckley's..they should make combos with the cold relief like they do for dry cough..
  • hi guys!!
Hope everyone is doing well. I am finally feeling better.
Today was my usual weigh in day, and I lost another 2.5lbs! So 14lbs in 8 weeks, not too bad. And, now my bmi is exactly 30.0. (My first mini goal to myself was to get into the "overweight" category, instead of obese.) One more lb and I should be there!!!

Yesterday I was kinda naughty. I had to make those chocolate bar krispie treats for the kids picnic, and also bought 3 boxes of cream puffs. i probably had 3 mini cream puffs and 2 squares yesterday..then for supper I really wanted beef and all we had in the freezer was chicken. So I got dh to go to wendy's and get me a chili. Their chilis aren't too bad- i really didn't feel like I was offplan with that although technically I was..lol
Such is life, I guess. So I am very happy with the 2.5lbs this wk and another lb and I can also chng my avatar picture..

Did anyone else have their weekly weighin today?
  • Yay Natalia! Congrats on your loss!! That's pretty awesome!!! Keep up the great work! Sadly I don't get to weigh in until Tuesday. It's ok to be naughty!! Life is too short, but everything in moderation is ok! LOL

    Zenor-

Heather- Man that sucks that you got it! You sound like you also got a pretty good workout with all the things you had to do.

Well this whole week I've been keeping up my calories around the 1590- 1660 range, pretty much all week. I'm playing around with the calories. All these sites are pretty confusing one is telling me to consume 1800, another is 1500 another is 1450...LOL so I'm pretty much keeping it the middle somewhere.
  • Calories today~ 1449
    Fiber~ 53g

Natalia~ Congrats on the loss! I was so excited when I hit the overweight BMI (vs obese.) It was a really good feeling!

Is it odd that I don't have a set weigh in day? I just change my ticker when the weight loss has suck for a couple days. Sometimes it's Thursday, sometimes Sunday, it varies. I guess it doesn't really matter too much since it's working okay for me.
  • I had THE best workout today!!

    2.1 mile run in 18:45
    10 minutes fast jump rope
    20 minutes walking
    6 minutes ab work
    total of 534 burned!

i was very busy today but i managed to get 930 calories. After my weigh in on sat. i'm going to increase my calories... they are still too low in my opinion- too low for the exercise
  • Natalia ~
