Holy crap Jen! Well done! My first weigh in is in the morning - speaking of which, I'd better go to bed as it's 11:50 pm and I told myself I'd go for a run in the morning.

Night girls!

Ah Jen, Body Attack is the love of my life!!! It's a high energy, high impact aerobics class and one of the fitness programmes licensed by Les Mills. It's taught around the world - we get a new "release" every three months. It's tough but what a brilliant workout.

Here's more info:
http://www.lesmills.com/global/en/me...odyattack.aspx

I do quite a few of the Les Mills programmes - Body Pump (strength training), Body Balance (a blend of tai chi, yoga and pilates based exercises) and Body Step. I have also tried Body Jam (kind of funky dance class - salsa, hip hop etc) and Body Combat (cardio workout based around karate, boxing, taekwando etc. - basically kicking @ss and getting rid of any agression!) Recommend them all!

It's Friday!!!

I love the weekends because I have so much more time to exercise (wow, that is kind of scary, what has happened to me???) I can exercise anywhere from 2-3 hours, and it really gives me a great boost into the next week (and specifically Monday!). Do we have any crafty people in this group? I crochet quite a bit, usually making either afghans or doilies, and I have done a bit of cross stitch. In fact, I'm making an expedition Saturday to Hobby Lobby to get some supplies for a new cross stitch project. I like to watch tv shows on Dvd at night before bed, and doing a craft keeps me from munching!

Hungry4AChange & Jessie Bear- Soup is one of my favorite things as well. While I'm sure that I haven't come close to trying all of them, the only ones I know I don't like are Italian Wedding Soup (the "grass" and tiny noodles) and Squash Soup (don't even ask!).

starmac13 - Turkey tacos sound really good. Do you use ground turkey, grilled and shredded, or chunks?

CruiseCat - I love white chili, but the recipe we use is certainly not healthy. It has like 2lbs of Monteray Jack cheese in it!

Jen 415 - OMG!!! 8lbs is fantastic. Congrats!

The Rose - May I make a suggestion about the pushups? I've heard from various sources that doing pushups on your knees completly eliminates the focus pushups have on your core muscles (abs). It is suppose to be much better to do full length pushups on an incline (counter top, chair, exercise step) so that you still have to use your core muscles, without having the strain of doing completely regular ones.

Miss Vitality - I weigh in Monday mornings. For the longest time I was doing it Sunday morning, but I like to have it at the turning point of the week, and the challenges always use Monday as the start of the week, so eventually I just pushed it on another day.

Rennie - I hope this will help you!

AmberD - Don't give up on us! I'm sure you'll be able to make it through to the thread eventually.

Pat - Drinking enough water was SO hard for me when I started. It was sheer torture just to drink a 20oz bottle. Now I feel like I'm stranded in a parched desert if I don't get at least 80oz!

TSap, RangerChic, Mindy, BarbaraPA, Angie, jlbake, Ruth, willow, and all you other great gals; keep up the good work!!

Good Morning Team! I want to thank you all for your kind words to help bring my spirits up this week. I got on the scale this morning and was back down that 1 lb so that made me happier. My boyfriend has agreed to take the battery out of the scale and give it back on the days of my weigh in, so hopefully that will help.

MissVitality- I LOVE SCOTLAND! My ex-husband was born and raised there and I have been 5 times. He grew up in Bo'ness Do you know it? I love glasgow....many many shopping trips out that way :-)

jltrip- I love the outdoor Challenge. We got that for christmas from my parents and man is it a work out! Gotta remember to do that this weekend!

I am so excited that Sunday is my last day on Phase 1...and monday is off to Phase 2 and the one thing I am really excited about is OATMEAL PANCAKES! I love pancakes and it has been really really hard to make them for my son and not have any myself. The oatmeal ones sound really good so we will see. Well I should get back to pretending to work...Have a great day everyone...TGIF!!

Jessie - that's a great way around the scale obsession! If only I had a boyfriend to do that for me........... but that's another story!

Glad you love Scotland - I haven't been to Bo'ness myself. Glasgow is a great city, great people - salt of the earth. And great shops like you said!

Enjoy the pancakes!

Hello! We had a beautiful day here today,, sun and snow, Love it!
So I took a walk for 80 minutes before work.. It was a long time since I did that.. My feet hurts but it feelt good anyway.. I will work late tonight,, until 11 PM, so there will be no more workout before my weigh in tomorrow morning.. I'll just have to eat as healty as possible tonight, I think I'll eat soup for dinner.

MonteCristo - Thanks for the advice, I'll probaly do it at a stair or something.
Jen - What an awesome result!! Congrats!!!!

'Morning red team!

Not happy with my scale this morning. One minute it tells me 171.2 then the next minute 171, then when I moved it, 171.4. Argh! Yeah, so I don't like Mr. Scale this morning. Hopefully, I'll get a more definitive weight before my shower or maybe even tomorrow morning. Frustrating though.

Going to workout for an hour today either here at home or at the gym, haven't decided which. I like the gym, but I have to drive 30 minutes (its a free trial thing until the middle of this month) so that can be discouraging at times. Will definitely be doing something though!

MissVitality - I am adopted so I can't claim to be Scottish unfortunately. But I was raised Scottish if that counts Glasgow and Edinburgh are some of my favorite places on Earth. You cannot find a nicer person than a Scot, I am sure of that.

Jen415 - 8 pounds....OMG awesome girl. Way to go! That is an amazing start to the challenge!

TheRose - way to get in a nice walk!

RangerChick - my scale does the same thing. My SIL says digital scales are temperamental. I am thinking of investing in one of the old school kind where there's a needle. Those don't seem to change much even if you step on them 10 times. My digital scale can fluctuate by 5 pounds in a minute. It's ridiculous!

Good Morning Team! I got in a great workout yesterday and I am headed to the gym in a little bit. The scale is staying right at the 169-170 mark so I am going to have to push it this weekend to have a loss.

QOTD: What motivates you to lose weight?

QOTD: I have a lot of motivations. One is becoming healthy. I just feel better when I am active and eating right. I sleep better and I don't have upset tummy anymore like I used to when I was bigger and eating whatever I wanted. Also, I am able to keep up with my kids when we play. I don't poop out before them anymore. I also am vain and I like to look good in the clothes I wear so as I go down a size I gain back a lot of confidence and I swear I am glowing in a way I haven't seen in years. I just feel better in general. I know I won't go back to the way it was before because of all of this.
