Well, I was wondering if posting my intended plan for exercise here would actually help me follow through...and it did. I had posted last night that when I finished my shift I would complete BL Weightloss Yoga. When I got home this morning the last thing I wanted to do was workout, then I thought about actually having to post update here and the next thing I knew I was changing in to my workout clothes! The accountability with this site/challenge is very helpful for me. And thanks Primm for the extra incentive!! I got about an hour less sleep because of working out, but felt awesome when I woke up.

About the DVD...it was the first time I'd used it and I really like the workout. I've tried yoga classes/dvd's before and did not really like them. I really liked that it focused on the exercise part of yoga instead of the spiritual/meditation part(my sis says I'm just not 'that zen'). This is definately one of my favorite BL workout DVD's. I'm hoping that it will help increase my flexibility.

Hi Red Team,
I just took the Real age test, it says that my claendar age is 49.4 and my real age is 47.8, so I'm doing pretty good but can do better. It's an interesting test, and has a lot of questions I wouldn't think of as relating to your age. It's a drop from the last one I took which had me about a year older.
Can you tell I'm getting a little cabin fever here? We were supposed to get an inch of snow Friday night and woke up Saturday morning with 7 inches on the ground. We live a mile off the highway and as of yet the plow hasn't been by our house. Only 4 wheel drive vehicles and tractors have been moving so we are stuck. Monday they have a blizzard warning for us, we are supposed to get some more snow and high winds so it looks like I'll be stuck here a few days longer. I really hate winter.

Does anyone have any good recipes for venison? I have been given quite a bit of it in the form of roasts and steaks and would like to try something diferent with it. It's very lean and tender.

QOTD: Favorite healthy food would be stir fry and brown rice.

QOTD2: What motivates me. I guess I should first say my health. I have a very strong family history of diabetes, it's more a question of when not if, that I am trying to avoid, and as a cancer survivor I know I don't want to have to do that again and maybe have a worse kind. I also want to be able to go into a store and buy nice clothes of the rack and to look good and to be able to do things with my DD.

I hope everyone has a great week.

Ladies, just checking in with you all. Got my first weigh in tomorrow morning and very nervous.

It's been a miserable day here in Scotland - lashing rain and strong winds. After doing a Body Step class, I wrapped up warm and my sister and I took gran's dog a brisk one hour walk. It felt good! Sometimes when the weather is bad, I have a real urge to just hibernate so was glad I got myself out there.

Just watching Dancing On Ice on TV - love it! Ice skating is something I love and hope to do more of in future.

Good luck with your weigh in for those of you who, like me, have still to do the deed.

I took the real age test for both myself & my "spouse".

My actual age is 27.4, real age is 30.4. UGG!
His actual age is 24.9, real age is 16.9!!

Just some added motivation I suppose...

I did the Real Age test recently, too. My actual age is like 27.5 and I think my actual age was 24-ish. Can't remember exactly.

When I took that test a couple years ago my real age was like, almost 10 years younger. My real age is accelerating much faster than my actual age--Bad news!

In some good news, all the Christmas treats are out of the house. We got an embarrassing amount of cookies and bars shipped to us by my boyfriend's family. Everything was cut into 1 in x 1 in pieces but still--things had anywhere from 70-190 calories and some days I'd have 4-5 pieces. Uh oh! But they are gone now!

I'm glad I weighed in when I did, I'm back up two lbs. Ugh. Now I gotta lose that PLUS more to get a loss for next week. I've been doing great with exercise but not really paying attention to my eating. It seems I'll need to devote some time to that too.

Hope you are all well.

Hello ladies!! I just posted my weight loss for this week and I am down 4 pounds this week!! I actually had gained 5 pounds after posting my starting weight so I am really down 9 pounds!

I just found out this week that I am pregnant (btw complete shock!) and I am really worried about being pregnant and overweight. I am going to continue with my current diet and exercise plan until my first appt at the end of the month. I might have to drop out of the challenge

I hope everyone has a great WI this week!! GO RED TEAM

Hi everyone. Seems like you guys keep pretty busy even on the weekend!

I have been combating this chest cold of mine and I feel like I am finally coming around. I got to sleep in for two days now and I think that has helped. I still have the cough but it's getting better.

I am back to 169 after a day or two at 170. I was hoping to see 168 but I haven't been too active this weekend, so I doubt a miracle will happen. I am just happy to report any loss. It means I am closing in on my goal!

I am off to dinner at DH's parents house. I just got out the shower and dressed so I am off to pull my hair up and look presentable. Have a great Sunday everyone!

QOTD : My favorite healthy meal is Taco Soup.

QOTD: My motivation is my kids and my health. I had gestational diabetes with my first pregnancy and know that if I don't lose the weight I will most likely develop Type II. I want to be able to run around with my kids without huffing and puffing after only 5 minutes. I also would love to swing with them and not have the swing cut into the sides of my thighs.

Hey guys. I thought some of you were posting huge numbers. Then I checked in on the blue team and OMG!!! 2 people lost 10 pounds and then there was like an 8 pounder and a 7 pounder. They are pulling huge numbers. Since I haven't weighed in yet, I am motivated to get my butt up and do a workout. Gotta go!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! It will be sad if you have to drop out, but the reward will be considerable! Take care of yourself and the new little one.

Ditto on the congrats clewles!! Well, I did fairly well on the working out this week, despite some eating out challenges for birthdays, etc. I did manage 1 pound exactly loss. Oh well, I know I lose very slowly, so it's typical, I guess. Now on to the next week, and the next week, etc. On a better note, some of my pants are getting looser again, I am about ready to go down another size and so I know results are coming, it's just slow. Sometimes the scale barely moves, but I see a difference in my clothes. Sometimes I see the scale move, and the clothes feel the same!

Anyway, good luck to everyone on their weigh-ins this week! Off to bed--early work day tomorrow.....

Congratulations, clewles!

I think it's smart to continue on with diet and exercise. I'm sure there's a lot of information available about prenatal nutrition. I've never had children but I've always heard that if you did an activity when you got pregnant, you can usually continue with it through the pregnancy.

Good luck to you and keep us posted if you want!

Congrats Clewles!!! Ladies, that's the second red team pregnancy of this challenge - anyone else got something they want to tell us? LOL!!!

Cakses - glad you are starting to feel better.

I have just weighed in and am only down a quarter of a pound from my starting weight, but I am not despondent. Since submitting my starting weight of 223 in Chellez's original thread (and sticking to that as my starting weight when the challenge began), I ate like crazy over Hogmanay and New Year and my weight had crept up to 228.25 so I have actually lost 5.5 pounds this week which I am delighted with! This has just spurred me on for this week - to keep losing and this time be able to log all of any loss I have for the team!!!
