Hey all! Was out shopping for clothes for an interview! I got a call and did the first interview on the phone, second is in person tomorrow morning. Hopefully, I'll get the job.

The cool thing is, I've discovered that I'm now in 16 petites, no longer women's pants! I even tried on a 14 petite and it fits except its too tight, but I'm close! It's amazing how crazy it seems.

Congrats to the Biggest Losers this week!

QOTD-I honestly don't have any rewards set up. I guess I should. My first mini-goal is to lose about 15 lbs. So maybe I'll reward myself with a pedicure or a new Wii game.

I'm doing pretty well. I've been keeping up at food journaling and doing at least 30 min. of exercise daily (except Sunday).

Today, I had 12 little girls over to my house for an activity and I made them "Dirt & Worms" for dessert. It went over really well and they loved it! I had decided not to have any myself. But after they left, I indulged in one serving.

The good thing is that despite my indulging, it's within my calorie allotment for the day. Whew!

hey everyone

I wish i had good news. But alas I dont. Today has been really hard. I dont know why. I did my workout but food wise I feel like I took 2 steps forward last week and one step back. Any motivation, inspiration, words of wisdom my way would be a HUGE help. I do not want to fall to pieces in week 2. Also how many of you journal your food intake? Does it really work? I have tried before but am thinking of trying again.

It really is just one of those days

Congrats on a smaller size. That is always the best feeling for me and gives me a great sense of accomplishment. You'll be in those 14's in no time! Way to go.

QOTD: How do you reward yourself for weight loss? Do you have mini goal rewards or a big one planned for the end result, etc.

I do not have any goals setup right now and I really need to setup some mini goals. My overall goal for the last few years has been to complete a triathalon and I still want to do that.

Well I'm having another rough week due to illness. I am finally feeling better and have more energy now but my coughing is preventing me from working out. I'm hoping to finally get back to the gym on Friday and that will be two entire weeks out of the gym. Aagghh. This illness has taken a toll on myself and my husband who is still not back to work yet.

And on top of that problem my mother has been visiting, who is known for wanting to go out to eat and loves eating extremely fatty foods. She is leaving tomorrow to go back home so hopefully I can get back on track and stay OP. I am doing WW and it is good plan to use but I have to be consistent with journaling. As soon as I don't write in my food journal I run into problems.

Good luck to everyone this week! We did great last week and we can get that Blue team. GO RED!

RangerChic - GOOD LUCK at your interview!!! And congrats on getting out of the women's department & into petites!!

I would suggest journaling your food, then if you give-in you have the numbers staring you in the face. When I first started (the beginning of this month) I did the first day eating the typical amount I usually did & realized I was consuming around 3300 calories a day!!! By keeping a journal, measuring everything, & buying a food scale (was $10 from K-mart) I've cut my calories down to 1400 a day!

It's worked for me, I'm not sure how everyone else is doing.

YEAH - I'm so happy to be about my week 1 weight loss!! It helps that the first part of the week I was on a liquid diet b/c my tooth hurt so bad!! Had a root canal on Wedensday of last week. Egh.

QOTD: Sometime last spring I had purchased a Nutrisystem plan for myself. I was going to the gym a few times a week & I had it in my head that I was going to lose this weight. Well during one of my oldests soccer practices my I was dicussing my goals with my fiance. He told me - "OK Melissa, if you're serious about this then I'll give $$ to go towards the purchase of a whole new wardrobe for you when you reach your goal."

So my big reward will be $500 in spending loot to use towards the purchase of a new wardrobe. I like the mini-goal pedicures though! I actually have my eye on some seasonal clinique perfume that would be a great mini-goal reward!

I was just looking at the results page & I noticed that you must have missed Jen415's huge loss of 8lbs. Just thought I'd point that out cause 8lbs is nothing to sneeze about!

I'm just checking in. I have been so disappointed in myself these last couple of days. I had a busy weekend and went out on a date night so I did not eat good all weekend or exercise Then yesterday I started feeling like crap and have just crashed on the couch the last couple of days. I'm hoping to feel better and be energized for at least a small workout tomorrow. I'm glad to see everyone doing well and I really just have to come on and post more because it really helps me.

everyone!

I decided to forgo the gym membership right now. I really DO NOT have the money or even a reliable way to get there! We'll see how my situation is in 6 months.

Leonidas is doing okay. I think his hips are getting worse.

I lost all the water weight from New Years Eve on my last weigh in but TOM started Sunday so this week's WI is going to be messed up.

Work is depressing and a hassle. Just waiting on Mama to order my memory so I can start the second job and finally get some money coming in.

I guess I'm back!

C is my first initial and Lykk is the first 4 letters of my last name. That happened by chance and I thought it was kind of catchy being that I am clicking away at the computer on this site all the time.

Well ladies, I too am floundering some. I need to go grocery shopping ASAP as the choices are getting narrower and narrower which makes me feel anxious and feeling anxious makes me want to comfort eat.

Congrats to you, ASHmomma!

tmil206 - I hear you about getting on here and posting to help you stay more OP. It helped me through my sugar cravings when TOM was around. Now, I need to apply it now that TOM is gone.

starmac13 - I did find that COMMITING to something specific that I am struggling on following through with and writing that commitment here has helped me. Now if only I would have done that these past few days, as I have been struggling eating-wise myself. (I just finished a bowl of cereal sitting here typing this). So, here goes my COMMITMENT...I COMMIT to coming to you guys if I am considering eating off-plan. There...hopefully that will help me tomorrow. Want to try it, starmac13?

QOTD: I'm not so good at the reward thing I have to admit. I don't have anything in place at the moment. I guess it's time to figure out something. When I get into the 150s I will reward myself with (thinking, thinking , thinking)...HELP, I'm truly at a loss. I told you I was no good at this!! I guess it doesn't help that my DH and I have cut back on expenses, so anything I am thinking of requires money be spent which I don't want to do. Any ideas for a reward that doesn't cost money?!

okay i am back from the mini rant and driving myself crazy. I just have to let go of the fact that nothing is really holding me back from losing weight. Hence the slight panic attack. I am back and ready to kick some more butt for the red team. Tomorrow is a new day. I have planned out my meals for tomorrow and also am getting up early.

ASH - thanks for the heads up about the scale. I used to have one, but lost it. Because they are not expensive, I might go get one tomorrow either before or after work.

OKay off to bed. Talk to everyone tomorrow

Default QOTD and Congrats All Around

QOTD: How do you reward yourself for weight loss? Do you have mini goal rewards or a big one planned for the end result, etc?
I don't reward myself for losing weight anymore. When I did in the past, it was always food and that just ignited the old habits and cravings. As I lose weight, new clothes will be a necessity, so I just remind myself that I'm getting healthier and that in itself is the reward. I just want to be healthy in my retirement years, which are slowly sneaking up on me.

ASHmomma on being our biggest loser!
And, congrats to Jen415 for the special mention by ASHmomma! 8lbs - wow!
And Jessiebear, your 7.6lbs is equally impressive! Good job ladies!

to everyone who lost this week and those who simply stepped up and made the lifestyle change of eating a little healthier and getting up and moving. We all have to remember that this weight did not appear overnight, so it isn't going to melt away just because we want it to. Be patient with both your emotional and physical selves. Don't beat yourself up, just give your mind and your body a little time to adjust.
