  • Sorry I haven't been posting much.

Been pretty on track with eating, except for last night, I made mac and cheese. whole grain pasta and skim milk but processed cheese. I haven't had any in along time and I didn't eat that much. I am pretty proud that I had my comfort food but kept in in check and didn't binge on it like I normally would have.

Today I started at a new gym and have a trainer. Its through the Navy base so its free and I'm super excited. I cant wait till mondays weigh in
  • Are we going to have another weekly Challenge? Its already Tuesday. Have I missed something
  • QOTD: How do you reward yourself for weight loss? Do you have mini goal rewards or a big one planned for the end result, etc?

My friend, who is also my brother's girlfriend, and I are having a little competition. Whoever gets to their mini goal first (we're doing 10% of our goal) the loser has to make the winner a healthy meal. This has really kept me on track because she is losing like crazy! Surprisingly I won, by about a pound.
My personal rewards for myself are my pre-babies clothes and when I reach my goal weight I am definitely black dress shopping and going somewhere special with my hubby.
  • QOTD: Min rewards here and there. Manicures, pedicures. Before I would reward myself with a day off of my plan. Then I realized that only hurt my chances for success. Now at major milestones, it is all about the clothes
  • So I have a question for everyone. Right now I have an exercise bike and my wii fit. I do usually 30 mins on the bike, sometimes 60, but I am getting a bit bored with it and am really starting to wonder how much it really works me out. I am think about getting an Elliptical. Those of you who have used one or both, what are you thoughts? do you think I would get a better workout on the Elliptical? Thanks in advance!!
  • Hello!
I just did my first C25K workout. Was easy.. But I feel that is good to start slow. If not I'll just hurt myself I guess.. I also took a 60 minute walk and did some workouts at home for 30 minutes.. So it's been a good day today
I'm also wondering if there's a new challenge for this week??..
  • Willow - doesn't look like a new challenge has been posted for this week so I have set myself a new exercise goal for this week and have just been recording it in my post in the Week 1 Challenge thread.
  • Ok I finally finished the spreadsheet and got our results in. Congrats to ASHmomma for being our Biggest Loser of the week!
  • Quote: So, I've just gotta know . . . cakses, knobhdy and clykk, what do your names mean if you don't mind me asking?
It's my nickname my husband calls me and of course technically it's not spelled right LOL. He used to call me cheesecake, then it warped into a sort of baby word for "cakes", phonetically it sounds like this: cakes-SAYS. Well I didn't know how to even spell that so I just guessed and nobody gets it haha. Now I am embarassed
  • How about I do a LCW for tonight then a Hump Day to Sunday challenge since I am behind here! I am so incredibly sorry for not being on top of things, but I think I have a handle on my time management now after a rocky start to the week.

Good news is I lost another pound. Bad news is I have skipped workouts on Mon and today I doubt I will get one in until late tonight at home so it won't be a good run like I am used to. I am still hacking up a lung and I think it's time to go see the doctor, or at least have my MIL write me a script and just take some meds until this goes away for good. I am no good at work and I am keeping myself up at night coughing so I am in a fog all day. Anyhow, life goes on of course so I have been working lots and tonight is tae kwon do and swimming for the boys, so I am off to get changed out of my bathing suit and find something other than my work clothes to wear back to the Y so people know I have more than one t-shirt LOL. Have a great night and thanks for putting up with me!

  • QOTD: How do you reward yourself for weight loss? Do you have mini goal rewards or a big one planned for the end result, etc.

I reward myself for many goals, Usually every 10 lbs or so. Manicures, pedicures, Itune cards and many other things like that.

LAST CHANCE WORKOUT---I always do my strength training during the first hour of biggest loser!!

Everyone, please have a great week!!
  • Hey everyone. I am struggling a little. Last night, way too much snacking. I ended up over 2000 for the day. I really need to knit, rather than pick, when I am watching TV with my family in the evenings.

I am nicely on track today, tho. I didn't work out. My feeties hurt and there were people home all day. But, Hubbs and son will both be gone, tomorrow. So, I can get a good sweat on. Probably while watching TBL.

I am hoping that I will have a scale by the end of this coming weekend. I felt so bad about taking a freebie on our first week and letting everyone down.

    I am sorry.

I have to run... I need to check my felting in my washer.

    Later, gators.
  • OOH!! Lots been happening here since yesterday.

First of all CONGRATS ASH!!!! You are awesome!!

That blue team was crazy this week. Don't worry, they will suffer the week 2 stall. We can stay strong and lose big next week. I tried out P90X tonight with a friend. It was kind of fun. Lots of things I already do, rolled into one DVD. M

My scale is still being kind and inching down daily. Must keep it up. I am so looking forward to another another exercise challenge. I am on Day 9, straight. YEAH!!!

QOTD- I reward myself with little things along the way. Since I have lost 50 pounds, clothes are a huge reward for me. I have to hold myself back. Walmart has some new workout clothes and I've got my eye on them. I am telling myself I can get some when i am steadily under 195.
How about the shirt at 195.
    The pants at 190.
    The jacket at 185.
    Sounds good.

Keep up the good work everyone. WE WILL GET THEM NEXT WEEK.

    Thanks Cakses- Nice job.
  • Bummer, I am going to miss my first LCW!! So, I have filled my water bottle and I am going to drink it while I watch the show instead of pigging out. I cant wait for the show to come on!!!!
