KTB- I feel this way all the time- like it's a SLLLLOOOOWWW race, but my friend shared a quote with me that I repeat over and over- "no matter how little you go, you're still lapping everyone on the couch"

I think it's true- even if I only lose one pound every two weeks (or every three weeks sometimes), it's still a pound more than I would have done before.

AHHHHH- super exciting news. I have an interview for a new job next Friday. It's a dream job and I am amazed that I have even gotten to the interview stage. If it works out then I will start in May.

I'm a little concerned about how I will fit in my workouts, but I know I will find a way! I just have to- plus this half marathon keeps hanging over my head as a constant reminder that I can't quit the running program I am on.

Thanks Chickboom
You are flying through the 170s! Dang!

I'm still at 179, but I know I'm back on track as of this weekend. I'm proud of myself because anytime I got off track before it would take me weeks or months to get it back together, but now it's only a couple of days.

I'm really hoping I'll see 177 by this next Monday- I want to see it SO bad!

Hi 170s forum, I'm back on 3 Chicks after falling off the wagon for 4 months and gaining 15 lbs back, blech. Was at 181 but have been 178-179 for 3 days consistently, so I am going to hang out here and try to push that number down through dieting and exercising!

Welcome faunaflora! I'm in the same boat- trying to make it through - wanting to bust through the 170s- still stuck at the top, but I refuse to go back to the 180s

Down to 175 though I'm sure there's still fluctuations. First week down, and I think this is the week I'll probably have lost the most so I need to prepare myself for slower progress because behind that 6 pound loss there's a ton of factors 1) 181 was probably the peak of the TOM water weight, 2) I was a salt eater and have limited that more so I was retaining more water than before, 3) I had a really clean week with 5 days of exercising out of 7.

Wowza faunaflora! You're doing awesome.

I'm at 179---- AGAIN. Getting frustrated, but I really feel like I'm right on the verge of a couple pound loss. I thought for sure I would see 178 this morning, but no Tomorrow perhaps?

I hope hope hope hope! No junk yesterday or the day before.... my junk food isn't really junk food though.... low salt pretzels, light popcorn, raisins, etc... but it's still what is wrecking my day to day lack of weight loss.

angiemama - are you eating enough satiating food so you don't feel like snacking as much? also are you drinking enough liquid?

This is so important for me. I've finally committed to drinking my water. I've been slacking for too long and I have a problem with swelling in the warm weather.

I definitely drink enough water- like 80 or 90oz a day. I think it's because I just want it, not that I'm hungry or need it.... I just have too much emotion tied to food which I need to get a handle on.
My goal is to do GREAT this weekend while we visit family

I wish I just wanted to drink water angiemama. I like it fine but I don't really ever feel thirsty so I have to force myself to drink it.

Family time sounds awesome! I hope you have a great weekend!

ChickieBoom - I drink a lot of tea and decaf coffee instead of only water, just to change it up but not add calories.

173 today. I'm calorie counting as the main method, and exercising ~4x/week. The weight is coming off quickly for now, I'm psyched, but I envision that I will hit a wall and I need to be prepared not to feel bad about it and just keep calorie counting and exercising continuously, not be set back by hitting walls or if i have a bad day and overeat.
