What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past:It's for life.I need a healthy active body for my job and for my future. It is important for my safety to be physically fit in my line of work.

Following any specific plan: not really. i started with Alli, but that just got me in gear to keeping track of what i eat. now i just carry around my journal... write down everything i eat and *try* to stay under 1500 cals for the day...
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: i am determined. this is the longest i have ever been on a diet and have stuck to it. i refuse to be unhealthy again...

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: I've been battling my weight for 3 years now, and going up and up, and sometimes down for a few weeks... but mostly up! I've just rededicated myself to my weight loss this past week, and thought I needed some support, that's why I'm here.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Well, this is kinda hard for me to talk about, but maybe other people share my story so... I went through a big change 3 years ago, and as a result started bindge eating to cope. So my biggest hurdle is overcoming my complusive eating, using food to comfort myself when I'm sad, lonley, bored, mad, or worried.
Following any specific plan: I tried weight watchers and it worked really well, I lost weight very fast, but all the tracking ended up only making my compulsive overeating worse, so I had to stop. Right now I'm really just working on moderation, and I want to start working out and running more.

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: been trying to lose weight for years, began to properly try about march last year, but i gave up for a while, need to get back into it again.
Starting Weight: 147 (my heaviest ever was about 150, but that was due to not working and sitting around a lot, i was about that weight for 4 or 5 months then i started working and it dropped off in a couple of months. I've been normally about 146 since 4th year school, and now i tend to sit about 140, because i'm running about more.

Goal Weight: i say 118 but for just now i want to be about 9st (126 i think)
Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: my mum never buys the right foods. She spent her life till her 40s as a british size 6, and even until her 50's was never bigger than a 10, she's slightly bigger now but is diabetic and doesnt watch her diet, so the house is always full of the wrong kinds of food not enough vegetable or anythin, the only thing we have enough of is fruit, but not enough variation. My sisters just had a baby as well, and i tend to eat a lot with her, she's tiny and skinny, so she needs it, i need to try and not eat with her, when she snacks.
Following any specific plan: nope, plans bore me, and because i don't do the shopping i never get the foods that i should have, i tried doing atkins once and buying my own food but it cost me a fortune and i can't afford to do that really.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: i'm really determined, i dont' want to get to 21 never haivng liked who i am. I get pretty depressed sometimes and it's ruined a few nights out that i was looking forward to. I've decided I really have to do soemthing with my life.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Temptation to go off-course. And working out. I hate that so much! I mean, maybe someday I'll learn to love it. But I've always tried my hardest to avoid it because I hated it.
Following any specific plan: Not certain plans, no. Eating right, in moderation. Exercising. Trying to lift weights. Lots of veggies, whole grain, lean meat, a well-balanced diet.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I'm older and a lot wiser now. Yes, cliche..but true. In the past, I would go on crash diets eating only salad (no dressing) for every meal to lose weight rapidly. But then when I'd reach a weight I was happy with, I would go back to eating like a pig and BAM. I was gaining rapidly again. Up and down. Up and down. I want to get down and stay there. Healthy and happy. Indulging when I deserve it, and only in small portions.
Anything else you would like to share with us: I'm really excited to finally have a place to come to when I feel like I'm all alone out there in "weight loss land". Past diets have failed partially because I would feel so uninspired to get off my butt and do something about myself and my health. But all of you are so amazing and unique and beautifully inspiring, that I won't be able to help myself from staying on this diet.
