Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: I'm starting again TODAY and I'm going to do it this time.
Starting Weight: My guess is 215... I need to buy a scale.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: I'm definitely an all or nothing type of dieter. Either I eat "perfectly" and stay away from junk food completely, or I eat whatever I want and gain all the weight back. I need to learn what moderation means.
Following any specific plan: Not yet, I'm planing to start eating healty and adding exercise in a few weeks after I get used to the healthier diet.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I am going to do it for the right reasons.... for my health and happiness, not for a quick fix (i.e. losing 50 lbs. for my wedding) or just to look good.
Anything else you would like to share with us: I'm just really excited to have other people to my challenges and successes with.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I am getting married next August, and I want to look back at pictures from my wedding and like what I see. Also, I have pretty significant back concerns and I know that if we want to have children, I need to start out with my body in better shape.
Anything else you would like to share with us: Here is the double whammy... my fiance has high cholestorol and is pre-diabetic. I am trying to deprogram him from growing up in a house where healthy eating is ridiculed.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: it's super hot in the south, so I hate exercising if it requires me to be outside (except swimming). Also, food...a lot of food in the south is fried. And SO good.
Following any specific plan: I'm starting weight watchers. One of my best friends has lost 30 pounds on it, so I thought i'd try it out.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: Now that I'm out of college, I know I won't be going out to bars like before or eating loads of junk food at random times of the day. I have a more normal schedule and I can watch what I eat better.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: i have come to realize that if I stay overweight I will have nothing but a lifetime of health problems... and that I do not want to have to deal with!

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: chronic back pain and depression make it hard to get moving

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I used to try to lose weight to get modeling jobs and hope that being thinner would let me feel pretty. Now I want to reduce the stress on my back and try to feel as good as I possibly can...so attitude adjustment I guess.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I am actually eating less but healthier, and on a steady exercise plan that I enjoy, when before I would just eat much much less and exercise my butt off so I would lose 15 pounds in 2 months but gain it right back
Anything else you would like to share with us: I can't wait to get back to the weight I was at my freshman year of college - I was definitely not skinny (especially for a girl of my height) but I had curves and felt happy about it

I also work on my art, jewelry design, and create some natural beauty products (lip balm, lip color, and I'm planning on expanding to eyeshadow soon). I occasionally help with my fiance's side of the business with records management -- basically, prepping documents to be scanned -- mostly local government paperwork. I have a lot of fun!

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I am being held accountable by my fiance, seeking help with support groups (hence my presence here), and seriously keeping a weight/food log to track what I'm eating and how much I weigh daily.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weight loss: Packing my lunch. It's just so much easier to go through the drive-thru. lol
Following any specific plan: Eating real food - if I can't pronounce an ingredient, I don't eat it. Also, went back to being vegetarian.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I was a fat kid. I was fed up at 15 (didn't want to go through high school being heavy) and went from 200 lbs to 135 lbs in 2 months. It definitely wasn't a healthy diet, I lived on pretzels and diet iced tea. I was able to keep it off for 10 years give and take 15 lb fluctuations here and there. If I gained a few pounds, all I had to do was cut calories and the weight would fly off. That stopped working about 2 years ago. Low fat food made me gain more weight and I was always starving and dizzy. Recently found out I have borderline Insulin Resistance, which was the wakeup call I needed. I have a wonderful chance to get it under control before it turns into diabetes. I want to lose weight the right way and make this eating a way of life that I can live with and not some crazy diet that sets me up for failure.
