Hi!! I'm a newbie here and was hoping to join in with the challenge...although change it a wee bit as I'm going on holiday on Christmas Eve so it's more of a Christmas challenge.
My goal is to lose 14lbs for Christmas and to have maintained it by New Year's (although would be happy just to lose 10!)
Ugh, so I was 189.4 today, which serves me right because yesterday was just a horrible eating day, sodium wise.
Breakfast I had a low-fat turkey bacon sandwich (7 points) and chai tea (4 points) then I had a 5 guys burger so that was about 10 points and I had a turkey sandwich for dinner, which was around 3, so that's exactly 24 points, but oh, the sodium...
I'm snacking on veggies today while I cook so I won't be famished later, and I went hiking, so hopefully I won't overdo it later.
Stella - I'm sure you'll get back on track in no time! I cheated last night, going out with friends and I had a few beers. This morning I felt so bad about it! But we all deserve a little treat every now and then! I'm sure next week will be better!
Stella- Dont beat yourself up over a little bit of extra sodium. It sounds to me you stayed OP so you should be happy. So your up some water weight It will level off
Sorry I haven't posted in a couple weeks. It's been very busy. Work 80 hours a week and family was in town last weekend.
Struggling to get exercise in, but I am down 2 pounds. So yeah! Long ways from my goal, and I'd be shocked if I get there, but I'm gonna keep at it.
I've been back on Mountain Dew lately. It's so good, yet so bad. A 20oz bottle is practically a meal on it's own. I think I've just gotta stop cold turkey.

Ha, not after tonight. I'm going for a nice, long work out tomorrow morning. But oh goodness was that food good...
I have only lost 1lb since last weekend, but I'm not surprised as I've been having a tough time personally and reverted back to bad habits a little bit. Well I've still been writing everything down that passes my lips and done my very hardest to control myself, even hid my sweets from myself. The average from the last 6 days is 1970 cals per day, which is my maintenance level in theory, so as I've been walking more than usual I guess 1lb is about right.

Sanna - Don't get discouraged! I had about 3 weeks where I was up and down every week, and finally I went down 2.4 pounds. Sometimes it just takes your body a little bit to get used to the changes you are making. Keep going, and I know you can do it!
Gah! 180.8 this morning - sooooo close to the 170s! I cheated and peeked at the scale yesterday and it was 180 even, but I'm thinking the Chinese food I had for dinner isn't helping. I'll probably peek again tomorrow to see if that's cleared up - I can't wait to see a number that starts with 170!!
188.4. Yay I'm going to try super hard to be very very good this week, so I can enjoy Thursday.
I've already talked to my best friend back home, and we're going to the gym this weekend - I need her, its her membership, but I'm making her and she's okay with this.
I won't be weighing in again until the first weigh in of the 20 somethings BL challenge....because I need to take the time to get back on track and focus on what I'm eating and not the numbers...
ashbee - 179! I can't wait to get there, you must feel great!
I did well on saturday, but sunday I could have done better. Although, I can safely say that I am 189 now!! That's exciting enough in itself. I think I'm a bit more motivated now because I've planned mini rewards every 5lbs. Just small things like back rubs from hubby and movie nights in (my choice of movie), but I think it keeps me focused on only 5lbs at a time. Then once I reach 5, I can focus on the next 5... instead of thinking about the big picture.
Do you all have mini rewards for yourselves?
The only thing semi-close I have to mini-rewards is that I'm gradually able to fit into old clothes that I saved, so its like oh, I'm now 188 and I can wear this outfit I got 4 years ago...something like that.
I'm not really allowing myself to buy clothes just yet (just a few pieces here and there, and only for work purposes and ONLY on sale) but at the end of this, that's going to be a HUGE reward
