  • Hi ladies, sorry I haven't posted lately. I'm battling with H1N1 right now (which is seven different kinds of NASTY, let me tell you) and haven't really had the energy to do much, weight-loss wise. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be all better and back to kicking butt by next week. Until then, keep up the good work! You're all doing awesome!

  • Cara - I hope you feel better soon! I'm feeling a bit under the weather but have no idea with what. I thought it was a cold up until I vomited this morning. I'm praying that it was caused by taking a vitamin on an empty stomach, and not because I have the flu or something. ::crosses fingers::

    Sweettooth - Sorry that you went back up to the 170s! I used to weigh 2-3 pounds less on Monday than I did on Friday (my official weigh-in day). It used to disappoint me all the time. Now I weigh myself once a week so that I don't have to face the disappointment!

    I don't know if I'll be making it to the gym today since my stomach is still queasy. I don't want to make things worse. I just might take a walk around the block instead.

  • Weighed in at 183.8, up .7 from last week. I'm thinking that it's probably water retention, since my muscles are still super sore from my 5K race yesterday. I think I might try drinking extra water today and weighing again tomorrow morning to see where I'm at.

    i started out in june at 186 and i'm now at 161. my goal for new years is to be 153. my final goal is to be 130 by june!

    seeing everyone's progress is definitely motivational!

    Haven't posted in a little while. I hate to say it, but I've made no progress at all. I'm starting to think my goal is a pretty lofty one. But I guess I still gotta keep plugging away. One day at a time...

    On the plus side, it was really nice outside here this weekend so was able to get out and walk with the dog. Keep trying to work up the nerve to start back up running on the treadmill again after ~5 years of not.

  • So I don't know how I went from 189.0 yesterday to 191.0 today, but I'm ignoring it. I spent the whole day on a plane, but I drank lots and lots of water and brought my own snacks along, so hopefully that, combined with working out, will have me back at 189 by the time I get home on Wednesday night and am able to weigh myself.

  • So, I haven't weighted myself all this weekend. I had a party for my bf, and we were left with all the bad for you left overs. and with a hectic work hours this week, I haven't worked out in a week.

    Don't stress you can pull yourself through and I think you should start by getting rid of any unhealthy party food. I would say let your bf eat it. And just go to the gym even if you feel like doing nothing. What helps me sometimes is that i tell myself I am just going to go and walk on treadmill. But when I get there I usually end up doing more.

    Well good luck and look at this like a little break. We all deserve a little break here and there.
  • Stella and Mickey- Dont stress so much about it. Things will get better

    I have done really well this week, but still worried the scale is not going to be in my favor. I am also up 2-3lbs this week. I assume its all water weight but ugh its just frustrating. Things will get better, I know but I just hate feeling like I did all this work for it to go up? Hope you guys are having a good week so far
  • Pammy - That's how I felt yesterday and today - it was my first day back to working out after my scheduled rest day and I was up yesterday and up today :| Here's hoping tomorrow I can see 186.9, just to be down! Lol
  • Haha, I'm not stressing, I've been exercising while I'm here - I went to the fitness center again this morning and just took a walk through downtown Omaha.

    I get to come home tomorrow - woo hoo - so hopefully the travel/water retention will be gone by Friday. I might post-pone weighing in until Saturday, just to make sure.

    Although, I have noticed that I look smaller. This is monumental for me, I always think I look the same, but I can see in the (huge full length) mirror here in my room that I AM smaller than I was, so that's a step
