Hey all! I'd like to join. I'd like to be down to 140 by New Years...so I need to lose a little more than 10 pounds! I joined Weight Watchers a few weeks ago, and so far it's working pretty good for me. I've been concentrating on portions for the most part, but now I want to try and concentrate on the Good Health Guidelines, and hopefully that will speed up the weight loss a little.
Hey ladies! How is everyones week so far? I walk my nephew around the block every morning (1.5 miles) and Im starting to think I need to push myself and walk it twice to get myself that extra cardio because lately walking and the 30DS isnt cutting it and I need more of a challenge. I use to walk 4 miles at the local bike path twice a week with my older sister but shes been to busy to even walk at all. Hope everyones week is going good.. Good luck Friday guys and welcome all you new ladies <333
Hi all! I've been doing pretty good this week. I'm trying to stick around 1200 calories since it's been hard for me to get in exercise. I also went to see a nutritionist for the first time ever who has me tracking food intake, emotions, etc, so hopefully she'll give me good ideas as well. I'm going out of town tonight and find that I tend to eat more when traveling, so my goal for the rest of the week is to keep on plan! Hope everyone's week is going well!
My week's going great eating wise, exercise wise I'm still working on it. I keep fluctuating 0.4 lbs between 190.8 and 190.4, but as long as it doesn't go above that, I'm okay with it. I'm hoping to get to sleep early tonight and get up early and work out again, maybe more than just the Wii Fit, but I definately broke a sweat & was breathing heavy this morning, so that has to count for something. I still have to get a jump rope like someone suggested in another thread.
I'm more excited that my eating is back on track, honestly. Yay veggies.
So far this week, so good.
I have been working out on the elliptical in the mornings for 20-25 minutes and eating MUCH, MUCH better the last couple days since I joined this challenge. I am seriously determined this time to not slip up or give up. I will be 171 for New Years! I'm working on setting up time after work to run too, so that won't be timed like my morning workout. I'm really looking forward to following everyone on this challenge! This is going to be fun!!
I know its not friday yet and not the official weigh in but I am just so excited today. I weighed in at 169. Which is huge for me because I am out of the darn 170s finally.
SW 178
CW 169
GW (for new years) 158
11 more lbs to go till new years. Well I hope it is doable because past 2 week I lost weight extremely slow. Its only been 2lbs for 2 weeks.
Still very excited to be in 160s alllll over again.
stellarosa27: I know how frustrating it can be see the scale going back and forth and back and forth. Try drinking a lot of water. You may see less fluctuations. Try to do sit ups, that may help you to not see fluctuations ( atleast not upward fluctuations). These 2 things have helped me a lot and I used to see a lot of fluctuations before too. But this time around its been good even through TOM.
each2each : Hey I have about the same to lose. 11lbs. We can do this
Sanna Maria: I get so worried if I cannot weigh myself in the morning. I feel lost and not sure if I need to be more strict with myself today or be normal. So its amazing that you dealt with the no scale. And I was stuck at a weight forever. So even 1 ounce is amazing loss. Good job on the shift of 0.2lbs. Watch these will add up quickly.
Amba Dawn : your average of 2lbs/week is amazing. I am stunned because even though most people say that is the average weekly average loss, but its doesn't happen to all of us. My body seems to be more stubborn at times and I only see like maybe 1 lbs loss for many weeks. So keep it up and i think you'd hit your goal weight quite easily.
Its really amazing to see so many ladies join this challenge. Its very motivating. When ever i start feeling lazy about my journey i just need to check into this new years thread. Especially when I don't see any changes. But reading everyone's struggle makes me not feel too terrible and its amazing.
And for all those who have been craving chocolate --- It must be in the air!!
Good luck ladies I cant wait till FRIDAY. I hope there is a little bit more loss for me to show.
StellaRosa, I've read some of your posts from the last few weeks and noticed that you've been in a rut weight-wise. It's very inspiring to read that even though everything's not going according to plan you keep forging ahead with a positive attitude. I'm trying to adopt a similar attitude since I know these last 11 pounds are going to take a while to come off.
SannaMaria, great job on losing .2 pounds!
PammyFL, I think it's sweet that you take your nephew for a walk every morning. I have 7 nieces and nephews (and one on the way) that live in CA, and I miss them dearly. Your post inspired me to take walks with them when I visit home this month. As for challenging yourself, the first thing that popped into my head was "she should pick up her nephew every couple of minutes and sprint for 30 seconds." Ummm, but now I'm not sure that your sister/brother would appreciate that. (Although I'm sure your nephew would just love it.)
I started a pretty strict eating & exercising plan on the 1st, and now I'm afraid that it's so strict that I might just go off of it out of frustration, exhaustion and hunger, lol. So I'm going to reevaluate my plan and find something that I can live with for a month AND manage to lose weight. I hate how hard it is to knock off the last few pounds. =(
Sweetooth - Grats on the weight loss your getting close girl!!
Civakas - My nephew is only 1 and I use to jog and push the stroller but It was a total pain and I would almost always steer him off the road (The stroller my sister has steers terrible). Picking him up and sprinting wouldnt work with a stroller haha Thanks for trying though Im just going to start walking further and then when i get my sports bra for my bday Ill walk then jog at night.
Grats Stella and stargzr for sticking to your plan.
ljd- Has having a nutritionist helped? I always wondered about them and what all they actually do for you.
I hurt my knee doing the 30DS and I have been a little bummed about it. I hurt my knee bike riding half a year ago and its been real sensitive to injury since then. Im walking around now with a knee brace so heres hoping I will be up for working out tomorrow.
Pammy - Good luck with your knee! That's part of why I'm not a big fan of 30DS, it kills my knees (tennis for years will do that)
Civakas - Thanks I just realized that I've lost weight before, and been at this weight, and previously I had the attitude "oh, its okay if I gain because I've lost it before" and right now I DON'T WANT TO GAIN IT BACK. I want to lose lose lose and KEEP IT OFF, so I figure if I keep going, just take each day at a time, keep my eating on track, etc, it will pay off in the end.
I am down (again) to 190.4. I did exercise this morning, and I'm going to give myself a full 8 hours of sleep tonight so I have more of a chance of waking up to run tomorrow. /fingers crossed.
I still have to figure out a definite exercise plan for myself, but I'm waiting until I'm a little more settles - hopefully by this weekend I can figure it out.
Thanks to all of you ladies for your inspiration. I have to say, if I didn't come here every day and read everyone else's good experiences, I would have said eff it long ago
Sweettooth, this is a great idea I'm right with you ladies! I would like to be down 7-10pds by NYE and have in control blood sugars! For the next month and a half I will
--exercise 3-4x a week
--check blood sugar consistantly and take meds
--drink more water than soda
The &*&^( cat unplugged my alarm clock. I woke up just in time to eat breakfast, shower and get to work on time. Exercise after work it is.
BUT.....189.4 this morning
And I'm super sore from the Wii yesterday, so at least I know its doing something.
I'm thinking of alternating a day of cardio with a day of the Wii. That way I can get some strength training in (just using my body weight b/c I gain muscle really easily) and I can get my cardio.
I'm jumping in here so I can keep my hand out of the proverbial cookie jar this Holiday season! There's too many people that bake in my family >:[ Right now I'm at 189-187 (thank you TOM....) and I'd like to be out of the 180s by New Years, so 179, 175, 174 - either way it'll be out of the 180s and that much closer to goal!
