Update: So I did have the chinese food, but I don't feel guilty at all about it. I went to panda express, got chow mein and mushroom chicken, brought it back to my house and weighed it to the correct serving size. I ate it in two shifts (half then, half 2 hours later)... It was delicious. Now that that craving is out of the way, I was able to enjoy my fish and cauliflower dinner and STILL stay within my calories for the day.

Here is to seeing a good number on the scale tomorrow morning.

Congrats!!!

Blanna:
Well done, woman! I'm seriously impressed with your way of making sure you were within your calories, and still getting your craving out of the way in a manageable, healthy-eating type way! Way to go!

Blanna-Welcome!

kk140Whoa, that's a huge loss. Congrats!

As for me, I am up a pound today to 151.5, but I'm 90% certain it's water weight, as everything was in order yesterday except for my sodium intake. I also think I'm retaining because my muscles are unbelievably sore (I did the 30 day shred for the first time yesterday).

Hopefully if I drink lots of water today and don't eat a lot of sodium I will see a loss tomorrow!

Well thank you everyone for the welcome!

Jelbb: Seriously the chinese food was worth the 6 hundred and some odd calories. I feel so much better having that out of the way.

Ruby: How did you like your first 30 day shred experience? I started it about 2 weeks ago, kept with it for 5 days straight, then had a friend come visit and it knocked me out of routine. I keep meaning to pick it back up again.

skinny: Mmm..ribs and potatoes. I noticed in an earlier thread too that you have a new puppy! Me too! She is eight weeks and adorable (as seen in avatar). How much fun are you having with her right now haha? I haven't gotten a good night's sleep in a good week because of her.

I weighed in officially at 157.0 this morning so I am changing my ticker right after I post this. I'm excited to watch it move in the right direction. Ugh, coming into the weekend is going to be tough though, as with everyone else I'm sure, the weekend seems to really screw me up. We shall see. My boyfriend just scarfed a fried chicken sandwich and tater tots from Sonic and I managed to look the other way so good start at least, right? Anyway, hope you all have a fabulous Friday night.

Blanna - Eh, it was okay. I'm not going to be able to keep going with it because I did in on Excercise TV or whatever it's called, and I'm moving today and won't have cable in my new place. Definitely didn't like it enough to buy it.

I'm up to 153 today, but between my muscles still being in intense pain (suggesting water retention) and the ridiculous amounts of food I ate last night at my going-away dinner, it ain't exactly shocking.

So I've been living at home and using my parents scale, and now that I'm moving into my own apartment, I won't have a scale. And I'm thinking maybe I won't get one. It seems like maybe I should let go of my numbers obsession, and just check my weight when I'm home visiting my parents or visiting friends or whatever.

This seems like a good idea, but I don't know how long it will last.

Ruby - good luck with the non-weighing! i tried that once, but didn't last more than a week or so ...

Well I have been sitting at 157.0 for the last two days!! WHO HOOO!!
I think it is because we are getting our house ready to have a garage sale and I moved half of my bedroom furniture and clothes that are now far to large for me all the way to the basement!! Boy has that been some hard work. Well good luck ladies lets get moving to that 140s thread!!

Ruby: I wasn't super into it at first either (plus I was super sore the next day), but after forcing myself everyday I still felt better after I was done. Never quite made it to stage 2.

skinny: Thanks! Yes, she is very cute, but very much a pain and needs lots and lots of attention. She is a lab/boxer mix. She wakes me up around 5 too. Then again at 6. Then again around 7:30. What a pain haha.

I weighed in at 157.6 this morning, but I assume it was because I didn't get my water in. I was on-plan minus like two bites of my bf's bad food. I even made a new Hungry Girl ice cream dessert that was delicious and satisfied my sweet tooth.

I applied to a bartending job today and I find out Tuesday if I get it. I could really use the money so cross your fingers for me ladies!

kk140:
Congrats on your 3 lb loss!!! That's amazing!! Well done!

Ruby:
After the first day I did the 30DS, I think I gained like a pound and a half, entirely from sore muscles and resulting water retention. I'm sure it'll drop off in no time.

Skinny:
Pshh, .2 is nada! Lil' sodium. You'll be back down in no time.

Fashin:
Lol, yeah... I can't do the once a week thing. Kudos to you tho!!
if I don't weigh in daily, I become MORE obsessed with the scale. To be honest, knowing I get to get up and weigh myself is one of the few things that drags my butt out of bed in the morning. I get a thrill from it, haha.

College:
Way to go!!! It's so nice to be solidly at a number... you really know now that you're only going down from there!!! And I can't wait to see ya in the 140s thread! It's quietish!

Blanna:
Sure sure, probably just a bit of water retention. Nothing to stress about. Super cute puppy! Hey, at least he's getting you up... who needs an alarm clock, eh?
Good luck on the job! I'm waiting to hear back from a job at my new college's campus bookstore... they said sometime next week. *fingers crossed*

I havent been around in a few days. Had a huge fight with my bf because he took 80 dollars I lent him and went on a road trip to St.Louis without me. I don't care if he goes and visits friends, however both of our vacations started today and I'm not sure if we'll have the money to do anything fun.

I weighed in this morning at 149.8
