Fashin:
Welcome.

Justwant2behealthy & Snowwolf:
It makes me happy when people address these things, because it proves that we actually CARE about each other in this place. Totally amazing.
But yeah, I think she's just expressing concern for your goal of losing 24 lbs in case you don't have 24 lbs to lose... most experts would say a 5'10" girl of 130 lbs is underweight. You might find that when you hit 140-145, you're looking pretty amazing!
But like you said, you may have a very small frame, and still be carrying lots of weight... we can't really know, and as a result we can't give you educated opinions. Just try to make sure you go about things healthily. And we're all here for you!

Skinny:
Way to go honey!!! You're losing like mad!!!

And as for me....
I, on the other hand, am suddenly 149.8... thank you very much to the emergence of my TOM. I'm all lovely bloated. You should've seen the faces I was pulling trying to get my ring off of my finger this morning..... ouchies. I think I'm gonna take a bit of a hiatus from weighing myself for a few days, might make me happier if I'm not seeing my super high bloaty numbers.

I had a "bad" sub from subway yesterday. I'm still at 150.4 however. That number is going to haunt me in my sleep.lol

Jellb I never weigh myself during the lead up to my TOM. But for some reason i gain weight before, but afterwards, my weigh shoots down. it's weird

welcome to the thread fashinjunkie!

And I agree with snowwolf. I feel i'm much better at losing weigh when i don't diet. When I do decide to do weigh watchers or the fat smash diet, I feel like I'm restricting myself. I'm much better at watching what I eat. that way i dont feel like i'm depriving myself of anything.

Jelbb, awwww. Thank you, that's really good to hear, I needed that. Thankyou guys so much, but I'm positive I'm not going to at a perfect wieght when I reach 140-145, well what can I say I'm not there, but I know my body, you know what I'm saying? I'll still have some extra pounds flouting around even at that wieght. I'll see when I loss weight. I just want to do what ever is healthy for my body, for now I'm not worried about it, becuase no matter what I'm doing only good for my body.

Thanks again, Jelbb and ROSEBUD. I apprietate all of your support so much.

LoveLauren Me too, when you just get healthy things in the right amounts during the day and exercise I think you do much better then diets. Diets are depriving your body anyway, and if you go off of a diet your body wants to get fatter becuase it's in servival mode.

snowwolf- thanks! and i know how it feels to fall off the wagon, that was me a couple weeks ago. but, it will be ok just get right back on and try not to dwell on it too much!

skinnywish- thanks for the welcome, and congrats! less 4 lbs to go thats awesome!!

jelbb- wow i haven't seen the 140's in my adult years i would love to see that on the scale! but i know exactly what you mean about taking a hiatus from weighing. i have to do that every now and then to keep myself sane.

lovelauren- thanks for the welcome too! sorry about the bad sub, i had subway today im ok so far lol. but 150.4 wow you are so close you'll be outta here in no time!

well i weighed myself this morning and i'm still 159.5. i am really glad because i was afraid that i might've jumped the gun and when i weighed myself this morning i would have gone up 3 lbs or something since my body has been known to do that lol. but i'm glad i'm still here keep up the hard work girls!

Fashin:
Yeah, this is the first time I've been in the 140s for any good amount of time for about... 3 years or so....?
But I was solidly in the 150s thread a few weeks back, and there are only two of us who post in the 140s thread, so I still hang out here with the ladies who I hope will be joining us in the 140 thread soon. Including yourself!!!

Snowwolf:
I'm happy to hear you say all those things about not hurting your body, and only doing good, that's great! I totally support your efforts, and hope you kick some weightloss @ss.

I bought a pencil skirt today! And it looks cute It's next to impossible to find a pencil skirt that looks nice when you have big hips, so I am excited and feeling skinny, haha.

I *think* the Midol might be reducing the TOM bloat. But the real test will be the next 2 days.

Glad you all are kicking a** and taking names, too

THanks! I started running (C25K) in April, and will be running a 10km in Aug and Half Marathon in October. It is HARD work, but totally worth it. No other exercise changes my body shape as much as running...so more love handles!

Aurora:
Ohhhmigod, pencil skirts are sooo adorable!
I bet it just looks fabulous on you! While I find (as someone with major hips) that finding pencil skirts that fit well is hard... when you DO find one, and you rock some awesome hips, they look GREAT.
And I feel your pain on the TOM bloat. And mine's just started! Ick! Hope I feel okay during my job interview tomorrow, and fit into my new black dress pants despite the bloat...!

Skinny:
I see that C25K thing all over the place... what IS it exactly??

fashinjunkie09], your welcome. Yeah, I hear you, just got to keep going. I feel much better today. Few, I'm getting back on that horse.

Jelbb, awww, thank you so much. I want only a healthy body, not a sick one. Haha, thanks, go kick some butt too!

skinnywish, Yikes! Wow, keep it up! I want to start running soon...or start jogging then run. Do you run every day?

Jelbb and SnowWolf - C25K means Couch to 5km. it's a running plan that starts you out at like 30 sec run/90 sec walk intervals, three times a week, until eventually you are running 30 minutes 3 times a week. i am SO not a runner, and it worked awesome for me! i ran for 45 minutes last night! if you google it, you can find the program, or PM me and i can give it to you!

i am now into my half marathon training which is 4 runs per week, including your "long run" on the weekend. you are also supposed to have one cross training day and two rest days, but i haven't really been cross training yet besides walking my new puppy!

Oh man, I wish I could run. I get so out of breath, I'm afriad someone might stop me and ask if I'm having a stroke. lol. I did try running once but I have terrible knees. Not to mention, the chest ladies protest too much......

And I wish I could rock a pencil skirt. My hips are pretty big so finding clothes (especially pants) are always hard. Either they fit perfectly around my hips/waist and are loose on the legs, or vice versa.

I can't wait to get down in the 140 thread with you Jelbb! I'm thisclose! And good luck on the job interview tomorrow. Before I got my job, I once told a guy I went out drinking the week before. He said he liked my honesty and it was refreshing because he could tell when other young people lied to him. Yeah.....I didn't get the job. I was upset at first, but now its a funny story of me not keeping my big mouth shut

I think I'd like to try that! I'm gonna look it up online!

Lauren:
Hahaha, the drinking thing made me giggle. Well, as long as the rest of your answers exude professionality, I don't see why you couldn't admit to going out on a weekend, as long as it doesn't hinder your performance in any way!
I'll try to keep the drinking fests on the down-low at the interview tomorrow tho. I've been reading "common interview questions" all evening and mentally rehearsing answers. Makes me feel more prepared, and I usually get asked many of them. I tend to be a nervous WRECK during them, but I always SEEM really calm and collected (or so I've been told)... and my answers are a bit rehearsed, so I usually get jobs I interview for. *fingers crossed!*

Hope to see you in that 140s thread supah soon!
