Thanks for the advice! I completed Day 1 Week 1 on Monday and oh boy were my ankles kind of sore and then my cd that I used to download the ipod started skipping (which is odd because it's new) but I made it! I'm going to do Day 2 tomorrow!
OMG, seriously. I think I need to work on my breathing because in the middle of my last set of 5 minutes.... my side was killing me!!! UGH, I wasn't ready for that. Week 5, Day 2 should be a real doozy.
missed last night's run due to a terrible headache. i am going to try and squeeze w2d2 in after yoga tonight so that i can still do my w2d3 tomorrow as planned. this weekend is supposed to be really nice here, so i am hoping to get outside and do some hiking/walking as a bonus as well.
I was supposed to do w2d2 today but I've had a bad day. I'm very sore, have a headache, and I think I have the flu. Ahh, I hate taking extra days off. Makes me worried that I'll like it too much...
week 3 complete.
Sort of.
we ran a 5k this morning. I had initially planned to run the routine and just finish out with a jog across the finish line just to see how I would fare.
I decided to just put on my playlist and run whenever I could and listen to my body. It was so windy and so humid. I was sweating buckets and I don't normally sweat very much at all. Every time i would want to start running, the wind would pick back up. DH pulled ahead of me shortly after the first mile and kept a pretty good sized gap between us. While I was running, I was reflecting upon all of the changes I've made in my life and how I never would have even considered trying something like this.
As I was coming up on the last leg of the course, I started running and told myself I was going to stay running until I crossed the finish line. I saw the clock in the distance but someone was standing in front of it so all I saw was _8:57 and I thought to myself. Okay, 49 minutes. Not bad for my first try. I'm not last. I'm out here doing this. It was windy. As I crossed the finish line, I looked at the clock again. 39:50
DH finished almost exactly 3 minutes ahead of me. I ran better today than I do when I run the program. My mind is boggled but I am going to continue the program but try to do it outside more often.
Leighish- Congrats!!! I hope to finish under 40 minutes in June.
Me- Kind of had to just take a break. I have been so weak. Ran W5,D2 and just felt totally awful. It was too much. So, I am going to start W5, D1 over again this week. Beware ladies. Listen to your body. Remember, repeat weeks when necessary.
i only got two days in for w2 this week, but am starting w3 tomorrow, as i felt pretty good. i am scared for the 3 minute run! did any of you guys find that a big jump?
Angel's_Dust - are you doing w3d1 today? i am going to go tonight, so i will let you know how it went! hopefully i don't run out of breath and pass out in the street...
