Default Ladies can an old biker jump in on this bunch

I am an old biker, actually former Prez of Christian Motorcyclists Assoc. in Tampa still riding 25,000 per year. I need to get the weight down since bikers are know to ride and eat. weight 240 and height 6ft 1. I am concern about diabetes II and plan on starting Nutrisystem this next week after the 4th. I know about bikes, but hate to lose weight. Considering riding to Sturgins in August and need to drop 20 lbs before. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey John! Of COURSE you can join up with us Biker Chicks! You can be our Rooster

We have a great support group here....we all love to ride, but we all love to eat...and we all have weight to lose. Maybe you can inspire me to get back on the wagon. I've been soooooooo bad the past couple of months and have gained back a few

Are U still living in Florida? I live about 80 miles NE of Tampa...in Lake County, between Eustis and Leesburg.

Chicks....we've changed our cruise from Halloween til Thanksgiving....so I have a little more time to try to lose...but in the meantime, we're going to Cincinnati to visit HH's mother in July and I'll be headed to Wyoming in August to see our daughter and grandbabies. HELP!!!

Hope ya'll have a great 4 of July....no plans here. We rode today but had a little electrical problem w/ our bike and had to come home early. BOOOO. Tomorrow we're headed for Port Canaveral to go out on the gambling cruise for the day. If the space shuttle goes off as scheduled, we'll be right out there as it flies over us! How cool will that be!!?

John!! Old bikers...young bikers...chicks who ride bitc...I mean pillion, chicks on quads....it's all good!

Hey Jill!! How's Tony?

2Frus - half marathon? I always feel lazy after checking out your workout routine.

Well....there's a ride planned for Sunday - should be fun! The weather is cooperating at the moment. DH is in Mexico for his Mom's b-day...I'm single for a week. The house is a little too quiet. Off to the gym!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Had a fairly fun ride yesterday - if you don't count the dude who dumped his bike and broke his collarbone....and the dude who brought his 50cc POS....so we had to go like 35 MPH all day...

Somebody remind me to sunscreen my legs next time. They are only burned in the back below the knee. Lovely.

Hey Everyone!

Hope you all had a great 4th of July in your parts of the country!

We went on a ride Sunday and poor Dh got sunburned pretty good. He put sunscreen on most of his arms and head, but forgot the back of his neck.

I'm actually enjoying a few vacation days and contemplating taking one more day off...we'll see...

We've had lots of bike wrecks lately around here that have resulted in deaths. I think that with gas prices there are just more folks out on bikes. Of course the news focuses on the fact that most of the people didn't have helmets on.

Well, ride safe everyone and watch out for the cagers!

I found you guys!

Not doing too much bikey wise - still due those new brake pads and oil change, but I can't get my butt down to the car park to actually do the work! Not that it will take long! I'm still riding though, I think Sunday will be maintenance day for poor Roxy Rebel!

Riding in the peeing rain yesterday, so much spray!!! I'm loving my new tyres, felt very confident doing 70 on the motorway past spraying trucks.

Had a little slip up at the weekend food wise, then 2 days at a course with GREAT food. I'm feeling a little wide right now, but I'll be ok

I saw a note somewhere the clubs were moving...but it still makes me do a double take.

DH made it back from his trip to Mexico last night....I guess it's good to have him home... I didn't get quite as much gym time in as I had planned...my uncle and cousins were visiting from Southern CA. All should go back to normal, now. Back to the gym tomorrow!

Andrea - I am not really a fan of helmets - but I'm kinda glad I have to wear one. Enjoy your time off!!

2Frus - Yay new tires!! Sending sunshine your way ->

Have a good weekend!

Hi Chickies!

Not much going on here...have had rain the last few days that HH was off work...but we did get a nice morning ride in on Sunday. Out to b'fast and then a short local ride before he had to go in at Noon. Great Day! I spent the rest of it at the pool, sharpening up my tan for our roadtrip to Cincinnati next week. Not taking the bike....we'll be riding in comfort and stopping half way in Charlotte, NC to pick up HH's youngest brother and haul his butt up there for Mom's 84th B-day. Should be fun.....all 7 siblings and their families will be there to celebrate. When HH's family gets together, there's ALWAYS a PARTY! We'll be gone a week.

More later....hope ya'll are doing fine this wonderful summer!

ps.....flying out to Wyoming on August 9 to visit our daughter and granbabies for a week YAY! I'm suddenly BUSY!
