"Slutty" is all fiction and none truth unless you're cheating on your husband with every dude in the land, LockItUp. What ideas are you bouncing around?

LOL good point Krampus. I was considering a 1920s flapper (to go the more modest route), was even thinking of going as a zombie bride if my wedding dress fits by then. But I was also considering a sexy cop, a burlesque dancer, and there's this really cute sexy garden gnome one.

krampus : Yeah, learning German might be a long shot goal though. I'll start by the basics.. Greetings, ordering a beer, that kind of stuff :P Size 2??? ROCK ON!!!

kakers : What's the abs workout you were doing? I might start looking for stuff like that on pinterest. That will change of posting recipes ahaha

mottaini : I'd love to be a person like you who liiiikes lifting! I just don't like it when it hurts LOL

lockitup : that plan is massive on the woooosh! Awesome! you are SO close of the 140s! For the Halloween costum, 2 years ago i dressed up as Cruella Deville. I got to wear a fitting black dress without showing tooo much.

***

Today is doing good, so far! I woke up late, spooning with the cat this morning. I had a lunch/breakfast of a homemade butternut squash and carrot soup with 2 slices of whole wheat bread with a bit of my bacon marmelade. I'm going to head out for my run in a few minutes, I'M going to run 20 minutes today. WOOOOHOOO. I'm happy to say that the foot is holding on pretty well.

I also did my 50 crunch and 1 minutes of plank this morning, after not doing it for like.. a month. That was NOT fun. But I will get it back!

Turbo - I must be something of a masochist because the pain is the best part for me, lol. Your day sounds so super healthy so far. And I just noticed you are a fellow Canadian? Had to look up where Sherbrooke was, though!

Lockitup - Can't wait to hear (and see pictures!) what you decide for Halloween! I'll second that a little bit of slutty isn't so bad- you deserve to show off the bod a bit! Glad the RFL is going well, it sounds awesome.

Krampus - That's very neat! I know about the JET program. My husband is from Meguro. I've never been to Japan but we're probably going to travel out there in the next year or so. And yes nabe is F-ING AWESOME.

I feel like such a dork posting here so often, but it's like the only thing keeping me away from le binge today. Had my workout, accomplished 20 minutes of cardio with the help of a lot of self-encouragement. I used to be like a cardio fiend, remember doing like one or two hours no problem, but now I just cannot get into it at all. Plus the fact that I feel like lifting is more useful, it's very un-motivating, lol.

mottainai Definitely know how that goes. I could do hours of cardio if I took like, meth or Adderall/Ritalin...but otherwise I'm bored out of my skull after 20 minutes. Japan is really awesome, it's SO SAFE compared to North America.

TurboMammoth Hallo, ich heisse TurboMammoth, ein Bier bitte! The size 2 was a little snug but hey!

Happy Monday Feathers!

Well, this is day 2 for me doing the Rapid Fat Loss Program, and so far so good. I didn't actually weigh myself prior to starting because, 1 - I'm a weenie and didn't want to see the number and 2 - I want to break this new dependencey on the scale and get back to what matters; the mirror. The scale is keeping me from adding more muscle and has even contributed to some low-weigh-in-"I have to eat the world" binges! Damn that scale! So, unlike LockItUp I don't have awesome stats to post up but I am happy with it so far.

My energy is fine, I don’t feel hungrier than usual, and my meals todaywere fairly satisfying. Some people get headaches, lightheadedness or lethargy but I haven't had any of that, so I'm hoping that continues to be the case!

In otherwise $hittier news, I did get some preliminary results from the CT scan on my foot; evidently I have a 'bony protrusion" on the top of my foot and some sort of splitered fragment of bone, PLUS an old fracture that healed improperly (I didn't even know!) that is being impacted by the fragment. What a mess huh? My doctor isn't a specialist so she is putting in a referral for me to see one, but says that likely they'll have to shave down the protrustion via surgery. I doubt it can be too horrid of a prosecure, but I'm sure it will require some down time.

In the meantime, I'm just going to keep training as usual and sticking with my meal plan so that I'm in awesome shape going into it. Limiting the damage is one thing, but trying to reverse previous dietary damage POST-SURGERY is an entirely different scenario.

Anyway, I'll keep ya'll posted.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LockItUp - I'm very modest, but... I vote slutty! LOL it's the ONE day a year you can look like that and not be judged (outside of very extreme sluttiness such as body paint 'costumes'...). I didn't end up going out last year so I have an unworn costume. I'm going to be a not-so-slutty-but-super-cute fox.

I got mine slightly longer, and since I'll be wearing it during the daytime I'm going to get some brown or white leggings to go with it. I won't be going "out" this year, but I'm still wearing my costume to work!

Mottainai - Dude, sometimes I post in here like 5 times in a day. It's awesome in here, and it's so supportive! Do what you gotta do!

Turbo - I'm glad ONE of us is having progress in the foot department! LOL Oh well, I'm still glad that I took the initiative right away to get it looked at. At this rate, I won't even have surgery for another 8 weeks and I bet the recovery will be just as long! Plus physical therapy... sweet. *Dang, I'll probably miss my deployment and be home for Christmas! Whoot, that is a silver lining!*

Krampus - So, what you're saying is that cake and pie before bed equals extra productiveness AND weight loss? I'm sold.

Oh, this is totally random but I thought I would share; I saw these (and bought some) at Walgreens the other day.

I haven't opened them because they don't fit into my RFL program right now, but I'm excited to give them a shot! If someone beats me to them, let me know how they are!

JossFit I dunno about pumpkin spice almonds...I prefer dark chocolate/mint dusted ones, which I can't find anywhere (probably for the best, haha). Glad to hear the Rapid Fat Loss plan is going well so far, though that is terrible news about your foot. I hope your down time will be minimal and quick to heal. That fox costume is CUTER THAN EVERYTHING!!!

124.6 today. Lowest weigh-in in a good long while, note to self, eat at a caloric deficit and you WILL lose weight.

mottaini : Sherbrooke isn't a huge city, I would have been surprise if you knew where it was I was actually born in the east of Quebec, in a piece of land just above New Brunswick I saw you are from Vancouver!! I've been there 2 years ago and I fell in LOVE with the city and BC.

Joss : I love the fox costum! So cute!!! And what horrible news for your foot Does is hurt on your day to day life? Or only when you run?

krampus : cool for your lowest in a while! yeah, I think I forgot that deficit will get me to lose weight too lately. Always good to remember the big truths of life!

137.6 this morning. No poop yesterday. But I'm feeling good about myself (probably the effect of knowing that I'm kinda back on track)

Nothing much exciting to report... I have a flat tire on my car, which sucks, but I'm using this as an excuse for not going to the lab to bring my stuff back home ahaha. I'm gonna go running sometimes today and head to the grocery by bike... I'm trying to make the best of every crappy situation of the unemployed self LOL

I want to cook a few stuff today, since my apple-rhubarb marmelade is not all gone, I bought a bunch of apple and want to make maple and apple butter. And some white beans and roasted mushrooms soup to eat as lunch for the rest of the week. And because I have nothing to do with my life, last night we had homemade fresh pasta goat cheese and herb ravioli for dinner (I had a small portion but they were so filling).

Discovery of the week : cinnamon and grapes ENGLISH MUFFIN. The cinnamon bagel were one of my favorite thing in the world, but hello, 300 calories EACH!? the english muffin are 130 calories, the same as the whole wheat I was getting. WIN!

I hear you.
I was in the negative calories for 3 days (I just ran like crazy this week)
and whether it is going to stick or not, I was 132 and very happy to see that number after a long time.

Have a good one!

Joss - So sorry to hear about your foot! That sounds terrible. I really panic a bit when my feet hurt at all...I would hate to have my mobility limited at all. I'm really praying that all heals up for you all right.

Turbo - Your cooking sounds awesome and delicious! I've never been to eastern Canada, actually just moved up here at the end of last year from the states. Vancouver is great but EXPENSIVE!! and getting overrun with Chinese immigrants...

--------

Had a bit of a binge this morning (OK, maybe more than a bit, depending on who you're talking to!), but I got it under control a lot earlier than normal and am hopeful for the rest of the day and the week. Plus, my jeans are so loose! Always feels good, even though I'm sure it's partly because they've not been washed in a few days, lol. I'm down now to within just a size or two of my former normal, non-binge-eating self's pants.... assuming there hasn't been significant size inflation (deflation?) since then! Edit to say, I think I'm going to reward myself for quitting the binge early today by stopping off on the way home and trying to find a pair of "goal pants" ...

Mottainai and Turbo - My foot actually doesn't hurt at all, it just swells up after running and the pressure can cause some discomfort if I am wearing shoes. It's not really a big deal in terms of symptoms, but I knew it wasn't normal so I made sure to get it checked out as quickly as I could.

Mottainai - I think that's a great way to reward and motivate yourself! I tend to use shopping more as a distraction if I have a bit too much time on my hands and don't want to end up snacking more than I should. I don't live too near the mall so it's a bit of an event to actually go out and do any shopping.

Turbo - Glad you're feeling a bit more yourself lately! I'm a little lost on the cinnamon and grapes on an english muffin... do you mean a cinnamon raisin one?

Krampus - I'm not really a huge fan of mint chocolate flavored things, with the exception of Andes Mints and Thin Mint Girlscout cookies. For some reason I have it in my mind that the chocolate mint almonds will be gross, so I've never tried them. I do like the chocolate, butter toffee (OMG) and cinnamon sugar flavors though. I love pumpkin spice ANYTHING so I'll probably dig the almonds. It's actually probably better if I don't though... I have been known to do some serious damage to a container of flavored almonds! haha

So, wait... you're saying that if I eat at a DEFICIT, I'll LOSE weight?! Brilliant! hahaha That's likely been my issue lately... drinks and dinners and sweets don't make for much of a deficit.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Still doing RFL... day 3 of 12 for me. Nothing interesting to report, which is good! No side effects like most people seem to experience on day 2 or 3 so I adjusted to it well. I definitely look leaner already as well.

My only complaints are that while I don't dislike my meals, I do prefer the way I normally eat (obviously) and will be happy to include those things in my day again soon. Aside from that I haven't been as, um, regular as I normally am which is not a shock considering how much less fiber I am eating each day. I don't feel backed up or bloated at all at this point so it's really not an issue. I'll just make sure to have a cup of dieter's tea at the end of the 12 days to make sure everything gets back on track.

Popping in quick - I'm going to catch up on everything tomorrow but I hope you're all doing well!

I had a mostly great few days, ate so much delicious food I don't even know where to start. (fancy restaurant, birthday party, lots of Indian food for Divali, amazing chocolate cake and brownies.. so good) Was up to 140.6 this morning from 137 something when I left on Thursday so not too horrible. I ate well today just a little later and my body hurts from hours of physical labour but hey, free workout! Busy busy.. eeeee

I have pooped like 5 times today already, burning through the toilet paper hahaha, sorry guys TMI

Hey ladies! I am on Day 3 of my recommitment! I've never made it past 1.5 days before, so I'm pretty excited. Excited and HUNGRY. holy crap....if I'm hungry on 1700 cals, what on earth was I eating before?? I have been guesstimating for the past year of maintenance...seem days actually counting everything but not writing it down...and others just generally guessing. Tired, headache, hungry, blah! I'm reading and following, but just in a funk today.

It will pass! In my own super unscientific observation and research I have found that generally when switching to lower calorie/carbohydrate diets folks generally get those symptoms somewhere between the end of day 2 and the beginning of day 4. Stick it out and give your body a bit of time to adjust, and it will get better.

Congrats on sticking with it! It looks like the lot of us Feathers are doing a bit of recommittment to losing in October.
