Love the new picture, Joss!

I had a lot of fun trying on clothes. Went to this awesome consignment shop that's on my bus route home. They have so much cheap and actually genuinely trendy and good quality stuff! But it was actually hard to find my "goal pants" I was searching for. Stretchy jeans make it very difficult to judge, and sizes are just terrible nowadays! Found a lot of 1's I could wear comfortably already, but also found a 26 that was too tight. Ended up getting a pair of old-fashioned, no stretch ones that currently don't even come all the way up my thighs and over my butt, and am going to watch my progress into those babies, hopefully getting them on comfortably as a goal! Maybe I'll even take pictures...

Ohh and today's my husbands birthday! So we're eating homemade ramen and tons of chashu for dinner, lol. Ramen plus binge equals high weight tomorrow, but going to not worry about it, so long as it stays to this just one day out of the week!

Good morning ladies, and happy hump day (I hate that term LOL). It's funny, I always use terms that I find annoying. It's like I feel obligated to spread the annoyance.

It's the morning of day 8 of the Rapid Fat Loss plan, and I've lost 7 pounds! HOLY CRAP! Just finished my free meal, and let me tell you I feel like superwoman right now. So much energy and the first time I've felt human in days. WOOOOOO!

I definitely decided I'd go with a more sexy Halloween costume thanks to the encouragement you Feathers provided me. I am going to go browsing tomorrow with a friend. Hope I get some good ideas! I found this amazing burlesque costume I absolutely adore. It's sexy but not too revealing, but it's like $80, and that is just kind of pricey to me for one night of wear. I'm in love with it though.

Mottainai - Definitely take a pic. Happy birthday to your hubby. You dinner sounded very yummy!

LeilaJay - I am jealous of your poops too! We are a very fun bunch talking about, and being jealous of, eatchother's BMs. HA! I love it though, where else can we talk about this stuff!

JossFit - I LOVE that fox costume!! Adorable with a large splash of sexy! I bet those almonds are delicious! I may have to give them a try on my next free meal or refeed.

TurboMammoth - Great find! I love when I can find something for less calories that tastes just as good!

ChickieChicks - How's it going!? I feel ya on the feeling like crap from your diet! Great job so far!

Krampus - Saw your weigh in over on the DWI thread, GREAT JOB! Wooo hoooo!

Danzingurl77 - Great weigh in for you today too!!!

Masterptr - Seems like the scale is treating you well too!

mottaini : Yeah, I got you, Vancouver might be beautiful, but it sure is expensive! Your goal pants plan is awesome!!!

Joss : Great picture! And yes, it's cinnamon english muffin LOL that was not clear. It is great that you don't have much side effect on your RFL plan! Are you planning to do the 12 days just one or to do another cycle after?

LeilaJey : Glad to hear from you girl!!! I am also sooo jealous of the major pooping. ... is that weird to be jealous of this!? LOL

Chickie : 3 days already of recommitment? you rock! Sucks for the headache and hungry feeling though

LockItUp : 7 pounds!??? HOLY COW! Talks about results!! Oh and I love burlesque stuff! It seems it manages to be sexy but classy at the same time. It's a shame it is that expensive!

Hey feathers!

137.6 again this morning. I had an okay day yesterday, I tasted and licked way to much of what I was cooking (I had to help the boyfriend bake a brownies and cheesecake-cake AND a caramel sauce for his job... that was HARD) I'm not planning on baking any dessert today, so it will help :P

I have a tons of crappy stuff to do, call some office to argue with them about my student loan, I have to change my flat tire and get a new one, and I would have to go to my lab at some point to start packing up some stuff. BLAH I prefered baking LOL

I'm still sticking with the abs routine, morning and night, even if I feel so weak when I do them. Plus I'm supposed to run 22 minutes today, WOOHOOO

Hi Feathers - REAL QUICK update, work is CRAAAAZY and stressful but we resolved the problem I posted all panic-stricken-like in General Chatter yesterday (kind of)...so now we just have to move forward! Lots of deadlines today. Low weigh-in - 123.6!

Yesterday I went to a sweet Italian deli/grocer w/my bf for lunch, I had rotisserie chicken and squash/peppers in olive oil. Then for dinner was a BBQ with the summer BBQ crew last night - grilled chicken and vegetables and Caesar salad. I had two big plates' worth and some chips and ice cream. Gonna hit the gym with like 4 friends after work and bowl after most likely.

TurboMammoth Good luck with those annoying tasks! CHEESECAKE and BROWNIES, talk to me more about this

LockItUp Awesome job on sticking to that diet! How "nonhuman" did you feel before your cheat meal? Sexy doesn't have to = naked - pics of that costume!

mottainai Mmmmm ramen and chashu! Where I lived was famous for tonkotsu ramen and I swear they pumped ramen-smell into every train station in the prefecture. Otanjoubi omedetou! ^__^ I don't fit into 26s either sometimes - I bought my first size 1 pair of jeans the other day and am still really excited about it!

JossFit I love your new picture! I could eat almonds for hours without slowing down so I don't buy them. Why so low fiber?

ChickieChicks WOOO three days! I'm hungry on less than 1800 calories - I do not understand how people LIVE on 1200 or less a day

LeilaJey Welcome back! I missed you haha. I had a poopy day of my own on Sunday!

Drive by update (back later for personals and private messages) but I forgot to update everyone on my little ongoing NSV; I mentioned the other day that I wanted to stop incessantly chewing gum, and so far so good! I had my last two pieces Sunday early in the day, and haven't had another piece since.

Thats like, HUGE for me!

Joss- that majorly sucks about your foot, but as you said, at least it doesn't hurt like a mofo or anything. Ar you supposed to be doing any special to avoid further stress on it? Could you wear a compression footwrap to help with the post-workout swelling? Love the new avatar, too! Is that from the same photo shoot as the bikini pic? It is very sweet, yet peek-a-boo sexy! Woo hoo for stopping the gum for a few days. And I agree that I've been feeling more crappy due t the change in eating habits since my recommitment.

LockItUp- holy awesome! I saw you weigh ins on the other thread, and you are doing AMAZING this month! How long do you think you could stay with the paid fat loss diet? Out of curiosity, what is it that you don't like? Since you also deal with hubby and kiddos, I'd love to hear how it affects your moods, if at all. This mommy gets straight up psycho if I do a calorie deficit too long. I love sexy Halloween outfits! I used to wear that stuff pre-kiddos and I bought one for last year but never wore it. So I'm going to wear it for our race this month. It is straight up scandalous, especially in the bosoms, but what ev!

Krampus- 123...woo hoo! I'm totally jealous, but as you stated...eat at a calorie deficit and you will lose weight! So simple, and so freaking true. I'm interested to see if my calories right now really ARE a deficit. It feels like it...going to bed hungry...but numbers-wise, it shouldn't really feel that way. Dunno.

Turbo- I read you were running 22 miles! LOLOL phew....just thinking that made me cringe. I hate mundane task days. Gotta do it....but they suck the joy outof life for a few hours, to say the least! I had to put a stop to most baking around here. I just enjoy the results too much! back to buying snacks that I don't like, so there is no temptation. Hubby came home midday and I was talking to him about how I feel hungry, and it's not making sense, andi look over to see him alternating bites of a Halloween cookie and spoonfuls of vanilla ice cream. Gah!

Major migraine day. I'm super pissy because I had to miss a going away breakfast for a friend Whois moving soon. Thank goodness today is a very light day for hubby, because he was able to get the kids ready and off to school. Migraine level of 7 today. Non-stop and affecting the vision in my right eye.
But I had a great day yesterday! Sent the morning helping out in my eldest's classroom and stayed to eat lunch with him. Worked out with a friend in the afternoon and took the kids for dinner at Chick-Fil-A, where they had a pumpkin decorating event as well. Today is just a complete wash. Oh well. day 4 on track.

Oops, forgot my lunch today!! I'm a little bit anal about breakfast/lunch, because I don't have the heart to refuse DH the pleasure of sharing in his amazing cooking at dinnertime, and I'm kind of obsessive about getting enough protein, so I really like to make sure I eat a low-fat high-protein during the day to balance out a bit what we have at night.

Ummm here's a picture of those small pants (super apologies for the bathroom pic!!! yes, those are toothpaste spots on the mirror, lol!):
http://i1324.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4e4aa5f2.jpg
Gonna take one pic weekly and make a little progress album. My goal, more than getting to a certain weight, is going to be to fit into those things, if not completely, at least get them up higher! since they're the smallest 0's I found in the whole store and have absolutely zero stretch, and I'm pretty sure those are exactly the size I used to wear comfortably. Got to lose some real butt fat to do so though...

lockitup - Omg, hump day, I'd never heard that term before, but it slightly disturbed me so I looked it up! haha. Really would love to see your costume!! And congrats on the unbelievable weightloss!

turbo - Good luck getting your crappy stuff done today. You said you have to go to your lab. Do you do science? I worked in a chem lab for three years during undergrad, so I'm curious!

krampus - Nice on the low weigh-in!! I'm actually really glad to met someone else who knows Japanese food, lol. My husband is a fantastic cook, and even though my whole life I was kind of a plain, boring, non-cooking food kind of person, I've fallen in love with a lot of Japanese dishes over the past couple years.

joss - Really great job on the gum. I understand!

chickie - So sorry to hear about your migraine. ): I've never had a headache in my life, but my husband gets them fairly often, and it looks like it's really awful. Hope you feel better soon!

masterptr 12 miles! That's long, how long does it take you?

mottainai Damn dude those are tiny pants! It's funny how I am 5 pounds heavier than you are but I have SO MUCH FAT around the hip/upper thigh area...we're all built differently!

ChickieChicks I'm sorry you feel so awful today. I hope it goes away soon! We don't have Chik Fil-A here but I love their yellow BBQ sauce, politics and twinkies be damned.

JossFit CONGRATS on the gum chewing - or lack thereof, more accurately

I went to Dinosaur BBQ with my boss today and managed to get away with 2 brisket sliders, a small salad w/bleu cheese, and water. I still feel hungry so I guess I didn't overeat eh! I can have my lunch (chicken and veg x 10000000) for dinner, and have my eggs and yogurt before the gym this evening.

Alrighty... day 4 of the RFL program just about done, and no issues!

I was able to make an appointment for my specialist/pre-surgical consultation for my foot today, and they can't get me in until 19 November. Great. I kind of want to get it over and done with! My bosses aren't too happy because that means the earliest I could have the surgery would be the week after Thanksgiving, and I'm supposed to go overseas the 1st of December. With a 6-8 week recovery (just an assumption) that is definitely not going to happen. Oh well, nothing I can do about it and my health comes first right now.

My roommate has a box of Krispy Kreme pumpkin spice cake doughnuts sitting on the counter downstairs. I'm not obsessing over them, but dang, you guys know I love pumpkin! Grrrr. It's just that time of year when there are extra food temptations everywhere, isn't it? It's only going to get worse.
Today was the first day I had any sort of food cravings since starting RFL, but nothing extreme. I was in a really boring class and somehow my mind wandered off to hot caramel popcorn, but it was more of a pause on a passing thought than some sort of real craving. All in all, this isn't too bad.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Masterptr - thank you!
12 miles... wow... you're a machine!

Krampus - Thanks for the encouragement! I actually thought it would be much harder than it has been to give up my gum. I'm not saying I'll never chew it again, but for now at least, I'm not, nor am I going to buy any more of it any time soon. Right now since I'm on so few calories with the RFL plan I think chewing gum would only make me hungry.

Dinosaur BBQ is somewhat famous, isn't it? I think I've seen it on the Food Network and/or Travel channel a time or two. LOL I want to say that your meals sound delicious but really, I'm eating so much meat right now that it's not even tempting to me. Hahaha.

To answer your fiber question; the RFL program is different for each person based on your starting bodyfat percentage, but the basic premise is lots of protein, some fish oil, and as little as possible of anything else. My meals right now are centered around egg whites, whey protein isolate, chicken breast, tilapia or shrimp. I have a tad bit of lettuce, spinach, celery, asparagus, broccoli, zuchinni, etc. and maybe a teeny bit of hot sauce, salsa, or mustard just to keep me sane. That's pretty much it. The whole idea is to eat enough protein (again, the amount is geared toward the individual) to prevent any muscle loss and enough EFAs in the form of fish oil to keep you functional.
For me, it's only 12 days and then a re-feed. For others, it might be 2-6 weeks but it is broken up with 'free meals' and 1 small re-feed each week.

mottainai - Yeah, I suppose there are worse things than chewing gum, but I just don't like the idea of being dependent on it so I decided to take control. LOL I love the pants! Good luck losing your butt fat.

Chickie - Nope, the only thing I've been instructed to do is not run on it. That's the only thing that irritates it.
Speaking of irritating, yikes with the headache today! Is it feeling better now?
I don't want to speak for LockItUp, but yeah, if you can't funtion well on low calories RFL DEFINITELY isn't for you... not if you would go 'psycho'! I eat a lot more calories than she does right now (again, it's individual) and I'm sub-1000 calories each day.
Aside from that, headaches are common for some people (I haven't had issues fortunately) on RFL and you already get enough of those as it is!
Glad day 4 was on track!!
(Oh, and yes... same photo shoot. )

Turbo - Brownies, cheesecake and caramel sauce?! Um, where does the BF work? I'm totally crashing that office! hahaha
Sorry about all the crappy stuff you have to do, but at least you got to do a bit of a run! How did it go?
I'm really not sure about doing a second RFL cycle right now. I seem to be leaning out, and it's only been 4 days. I will see how things look after 12 and then decide what I'm going to do. If I decide to only do this one, I'll cut my 2 day re-feed to one day instead.

I'm sure I missed a bunch of stuff, but this thread was busy today!

Holy moly, you ladies are talkative.. 5 pages behind over here! Bear with me as my brain is full of mush and all I can think of at the end of it is 'cute cow & krampus, calories, hungry, delicious pie (that might be just my own thought, not sure if anyone mentioned pie..), honey boo boo (I must check this out too, I've seen a lot of gifs though haha) and sketti.'

Also funny that it's in no way weird for people to tell me that they're jealous of my super pooping, I totally get it! I haven't pooped today but that's how I roll.

Trying to get back into the swing of being home, so went shopping and now my fridge is full of delicious food.. salmon & sweet potatoes tonight.

My thighs are still super sore from doing a million squats the other day so I'm walking like I have a stick up my ***. Which is cool, I guess. Happy to be back posting, I need you guys.

Aaaand let's try some personals, sorry if I miss anyone/forget something you've written. I read everything but my memory bank is full of penguin jokes so there's not much room for anything else.

Joss I'm glad to see RFL is going well for you! It's such a great feeling to be back in control. I hope the cravings pass, and I wish that just fantasizing about food was just enough. I wonder if a lucid dream of a buffet would be satisfying or only make me crave it more. Strange question.. ahem.
I'm also getting worried about the approaching holidays and just the season in general.
Also I love your new tagline "I am not my body".. I really try to keep that in mind when I start to obsess.

krampus Really happy that your work situation is getting sorted out! I just saw your post about it and it brought with it that familiar feeling of dread in my belly.

Everything you've eaten and your activity sounds great, I love your commitment to the gym. I'm really trying to work on exercise at the minute so it's definitely inspiring. Oh and to echo everyone else yeah you look super cute with the cow! I also eat cows (lockitup) but the ones I eat I'd often see in the fields and they have a pretty good life. Lots of fresh air and tasty grass, it rains a lot here.

masterptr I'm so jealous of your nice weather! And 12 miles? Way to go!

mottainai whoa, you look tiny so those pants must be super tiny! I always think it's funny to look at things we used to be able to wear comfortably that are too small. That's when the denial wheel in my brain starts turning.

chickie So sorry to hear about your migraine lady.. that really blows. I only get them occasionally but I have problems with my vision then too. Hopefully tomorrow will be better (or today?) and it'll be easier with eating less. It's true that the first few days of anything like that are the hardest. Hugs to you anyway!

Turbo haha, I'm glad you're doing good, I was worried a few pages back that we'd have to have an intervention with all of this Honey Boo Boo talk :P just stay away from Toddlers and Tiaras ok!!
It can be really tricky to be at home and unemployed, I know the feeling. I've had long episodes like that due to health issues and it blows. I guess just trying to stay in a routine of any kind is good. Lots of time for exercising and making nice food though so there are positives. Start writing your memoirs, good to get a head start with that y'know. Or you can sort out all of your lego. I hope a job comes along for you soon though.

LockItUp You're doing awesome! 7lbs is amazing. I did a double take when I saw your ticker for sure and I was only gone a week!

I wanna see this burlesque costume.. what is it, nipple tassles? :P You've reminded me that I need a costume.. this happens every year, I used to be so prepared.. *sniff*

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Also on the topic of eating everything after a low weigh in - I've been doing that too for the past 2 months at least. It's really frustrating and I'm trying to figure out why. My thought process goes like this

morning: 'woohoo, low weight! ok, keep going, stick with it! tomorrow's gonna be great'
later: 'you've done so well, you can have something extra, a nice treat'

Which turns into more and more and more.. every time though.

Anyway I'm still up to 138.6 so I have a few days until I have to worry about that again.

Leila- I do that, too! Low weigh-ins and great workout days almost certainly lead to more eating that normal. After being on 3FC for so long, I have had it pounded into my head that most people eat at less of a calorie deficit on workout days due to inadvertantly moving less the rest of the day, and eating more because "they deserve it". That is soooooo me. It probably doesn't even matter who many cals I burn during a workout, because the rest of the day I am pooped and I lounge WAY more. Ugh. This is part of the reason why I don't count workout calories. LOL about being prepared. Something BAD has got a hold of me this past year! I am chronically late, forgetting things and just plain out of it! I blame it on lowered body fat. LOL

Joss- So you think you won't be able to be deployed because of your foot? Yikes. If you were planning on staying in, that might be more of a bummer, since tours are always favorable for advancement. But since you are getting out...maybe this could be a bit of a lucky break? You are right, though...I could not do a VLC diet. Ever. I would probably gnaw my hand off and lock my children in their rooms all day. I am the poster child for "HANGRY". PUMPKIN! I, too, love pumpkin flavored anything! My kiddos, too. I made homemade pumpkin pancakes and waffles, and the extra are in the freezer. I heated up one too many this morning for the boys and I had to force myself to throw that biotch away, or I would have scarfed it in a hot minute...

Mottanai- Those pants are super tiny! Are you sure they aren't children's pants?? LOL One day my hubby was folding laundry and he thought my jeans belonged to my son. Wishful thinking on my part, but it did make me smile. How are you doing since Tuesday? Holding strong with no binges? You can do this!!

Krampus- Dinosaur BBQ?! I've never heard of it. But I lead a pretty sheltered life. Ha ha! We go out to eat maybe once every 2 months, if that. I can't get the picture of the Flinstones out of my mind when imagining what this Dinosaur BBQ would be like. LOLOL So weird. Good job with the restraint!

Masterpr- Yeah...two hours....straight?? LOL I am such a baby.

I haven't posted pics in a while, so here goes:

My youngest helping make the dough for homemade naan bread.

My oldest being sweet.

And here is me this morning, 125.0 pounds. I just don't know where to go from here. My sides keep getting thinner, but the Mommy pooch doesn't, which makes it seem even more pronounced. I'm trying to get down to 120, just for kicks to see how it will look, etc. This is how I am with working out 1-2 times per week, moderately. (Pardon my angry face! LOL)

krampus : your work seems to be so stressful right now! When is the big conference, so you will be able to chill out a bit? I can't tell you much more about the brownies and cheesecake cake (yeah, because the brownies was IN the cheesecake) because he wasn't able to BRING BACK ANY LEFTOVER! They ate it all! I did not got to taste (even if this might be a good thing LOL)

Joss : Good job on the no chewing gum rehab plan! How is it going today? I do agree with you on your foot/boss situation : your health comes first. I think that at a point where we are in our lives, having lost a tons of weight, it's good to make our health our priority I have NEVER tasted a krispy cream donut. My boyfriend can't beleive it actually, and it's like one of his goal in life to make me eat one. I prefer not tasting it, if it's too good, I'll want MORE AND MORE! lol

For the boyfriends work, he works in a lab facility and with a group of his coworkers, everyweek someone bring a dessert and they share it during one of their afternoon break (I'd like to work there too ahahah!)

Chickie : Oh god jeeze 22 miles LOL I'd probably die. It's minutes... Thank to my foot that got hurt and the program I have to follow to go back to running LOL So sorry to hear about the migraine It's been a long since you had a major one, no? Your kids are so blond and so cuuuuute! I personaly thing you look really good! Look at those toned arms!

mottaini : Yeah, I do science! You did chem?? Awesome! I have a degree in pharmacology and (soon) a master in cell biology. But I still need to go back to the labs to talk to my boss about a few last results and get my stuff LOL You're not so far from your goal with the pants!

mastrprt : Good job on the 12 miles! under 2 hours? you're fast!

LeilaJey : I'm so glad to you retain my Honey Boo Boo episode addiction from the last 5 pages AHahahahahah! (but seriously. This family and this kid are CRAY-zy). Glad to see you back here I'm trying to use the time of being at home to cook some *ss-kicking meal every night, but I can't even sort the legos, my boyfriend is OCD big time on this and they're already sorted by color and everything LOL

Hey ladies! TOM got here yesterday (I was so happy, pregnancy scare this month, even had to rush to the drugstore to get the Plan B pill thingy), explaining why I was bloated like a hot air balloon. I went down from 137.8 yesterday to 135.8 today. OH YEAH for that, and OH YEAH for no baby in the oven.

I ran my 22 minutes yesterday, but I'm going so much faster than I should, I'm so bad. But in my head I'm like ''Okay, you can't run long? Than RUN FOR YOUR LIIIIIIFE'' The foot was feeling a bit weird when I started yesterday, but when I was paying attention on how I was hitting the ground it was better. I have my 10k race in 10 days and I'm so not ready. I'm running 3 minutes of the pace that I wanted to have for the 10k and I'm hardly keeping up. I think I will have to set another goal

The weather is good today, so I'll go for a run and maybe for a bike ride (everything to avoid the massive clean up that I should be doing ). I'm planning to make salmon with a boiled egg white sauce and a green salad on the side tonight.

Have a good day feathers!

Quick lunchtime drive-by!

Send me your strength today ladies... I'm fighting some serious cravings today. I didn't get much sleep last night and it's hitting me hard. I was having legitimate FANTASIES about carrot cake and truffles in class earlier. Not a passing thought, not a fond memory, not a simple want... FANTASIES. Dreaming about them.

I'm questioning whether I can finish this program.

I know it's 90% due to the lack of sleep (which makes any day hard to fight cravings for me - - it's my biggest obstacle) but add the super restrictive diet (I'm averaging like 15g of carbs and 20g of fat per day!) and it's a real challenge.
