OK, I am really unfamiliar with DH, SO. But as I was typing this I realize SO=significant other. It could also be Stupid Otter or Sissy Owl. DH=? It could be Dumb Head (Don, for sure). Or another head, which would also be Don. Anyway. Hehehe. Not fighting, just not talking, lol. But thats another story. Will have to think about my year end goals. I hate goals. I vow from here on out to have absolutely no more goals. Anyone with me?

Talking Hello Everyone

Hi Ladies

I do believe DH stands for dear hubby. I don't think I can go without goals! My whole life is about my whole to do lists

Chris's Beauty Tips

1. Moisturize- prevents wrinkles nuff said!
2. Avoid Pink Hair Dye- permanant or not it takes alot to get out, and then everyone looks at you like you are a freak for a month.
3. Never go to a hairdresser that
a. wants to make you in thier image
b. has a bad haircut (she probably did it herself)
c. makes you sign mortgage papers before you begin
4. Wear at least 3 layers of mascara, if it runs everywhere, you were just going for the smoky, sexy eye look.
5. Be careful of wax
6. Never try the new do before family engagements, job interviews, or parent-teacher conferences
7. Tatoos, piercings, belly shirts, and clothes advice from Christina Aguilera is strictly prohibited after the age of 20.
8. Fingernails may be used as a weapon.
9. Never believe what a man or your mom says about how you look.
10. A cell phone is not a clothing accessory.

Hope you enjoyed my list! Got any add ons?
Miss Chris

OK, fine, I guess I will have some goals:
1.Lose another 8 lbs before years end.

2.Try not to kill my SO before or after Christmas.

3.Get my Christmas shopping done 2 weeks before Christmas

4.Find a new church

5.Repair at least 5 broken things around the house.

6.Plan Mandy's sweet 16 party.

7.Spread joy, love, happiness, and support to all I come in contact with.

As for beauty tips, hmmm. I don't really wear makeup. I like the mascara tip. When I used to wear makeup mascara was one of my favorites. And black eyeliner. Loved that too. And long red nails with little diamonds on them. I miss makeup. I miss the desire to dress up.
I would have to say keep your hands moisterized. Lots and lots of whatever works on them. Go expensive if you have to.
Everyone have a lovely day.

Congrats on the weight loss dollar. Hope you are feeling better soon. Try to get as much rest as possible, take your nyquil, drink hot tea, chicken noodle soup. Um, and take some Vitamin C.
Very cute rusty. Both the link and the advice. Think I will do mine the old fashion way.

Hope you feel better soon , Dollar, and well done with your losses.

Rochemist- glad to meet another list junkie! I have a whiteboard on my fridge with all my to-do's and a notebook I carry with me. Every year I set a goal for each month and its really great to get to the end of the year and know that I've achieved a dozen more things, no matter how small. I always had a fondness for lists, but after a motorcyle accident years ago I lost most of my short term memory. These days, if I don't write it on the list, it doesn't get done. My SO used to think it was a bit strange, but now asks me to add things to my list so he won't forget! Funny thing is I now have a reputation at my job for being good at remembering stuff. If they only knew!

I just started making a list for the grocery store - after all these years of being able to grocery shop on autopilot I have to learn my way around the store all over again for our entirely new food plan. The store I shop at is super cheap but doesn't have everything I need every week - but the produce is sooo inexpensive and the store brands are a good value. So if I want herbal tea or ff sour cream or the 50% Light Cabot Cheddar I need to hit the store across the street for a few things. It's a pain - but it isn't worth spending double at the big chain just to save myself a short trip. Yesterday I got a pomegranate for a buck and five kiwis for a buck. At the other store the pomegranates were $3 and Kiwis 2/$1. Eggbeaters are $1.59 instead of $2.69. Crazy when it's an identical product.

My Dad tho keeps lists and has ever since I was a kid - he checks it five times a day. So if I need to remember something I ask HIM to write it down and email me. LOL

Thanks everyone for your well wishes they must have worked Im feeling better today still coughing but not as bad and I had a good night sleep.
My grandson is also starting to feel better thank goodness 2 weeks of that is more then enough thanks. I'm starting to get geared up for my new hours starting and since our schedule is posted until mid Jan the other woman I work with doesn't need to start the new hours till then so it would mean I would work my days and do whatever hours she doesn't use. so I could be working a few half days each week as well as my full days, lots of hours lots of money. With my own hours they will already pretty much double from what Im working now.
Hope everyone has a good evening got to run and finish with dinner.

Good Morning DIVAS! Dollar sorry to hear that you have been under the weather. I have been there as well. The creeping crud has taken hold and wont let go. Rusty pitch that idea to HBO. I know that it would be better than so of the shows that are on right now. But the networks take offf the shows that many enjoy watching.(Any day now for example). So what is the name of the super cheap store that you have found. We have one that is somewhat cheap but there is no way that I would buy meat or produce there. Bad quality and high price. I enjoyed some of the beauty tips that was left I have only one. HAIR COLOR. I have had way too much grey for 31 years and there is no way that I would continue without coloring my hair. I refuse to grow up. Has anyone tried the new egg beater with the veggies and herb?
Here are a few of my goals for the rest of the year.
1. Get out of pain. Maybe I'll get lucky and the insurance will be nice and deicde to pay for a hyst.
2. Loose those 5 lbs that the pain med help add.
3. Get those toys out of layway at Wally World.
4. Find Santa and seriously that about doing harm to him.

Here's to a BLESSES DAY to each and everyone of you,
Sandy

Ways to Love Myself When I AM ANGRY/Hurt
1. Not eating crap
2. Buying myself something nice
3. Taking a long shower
4. Brushing my hair
5. Writing my feelings out
6. Letting my friends know
7. Yelling in my car
8. Rocking out to some heavy music
9.Cooking myself something that won't ruin my diet
10. Sending a joke to a friend

Hello Kindred Spirits!

Sandy - I had a coupon last week for the new Eggbeaters so I grabbed them - notice they are an ounce less than the usual two packs. I used both the Garden Veggies and the Southwestern but I add so much other stuff that I don't know if they were good alone. I always throw in a ff ham slice or two and/or Cabot 50% cheese AND scallions and canned mushrooms and peppers when I make them. Lately I've been having them with veg chili on top. Excellent.

When I am angry/bummed I hit the waterbed - I usually know I'm stressed/worn out when I get that way. I grab a book, an extra conforter, and extra pillow and the two boxers. They snuggle up with me and all's right with the world. It always works. I either read or think it through til I can let it go.

T'is Friday - Pizza Night at the Clarks. Tonight it's pita bread with pizza sauce and lite mozzarella (and veggies/shrooms for me). About 200 calories each. I saved calories from lunch so I can have a couple - maybe even THREE! Bwahahahaha!

You know I've really been enjoying this new way of eating. I haven't been this excited about cooking/exploring the supermarket/finding new recipes since I got married twenty years ago. The house is nearly fat-proofed after two months of finding replacements and getting rid of the junk. Even if I went nuts here one day and ate ten pounds of food - most of the stuff is of minimal danger. I'm finding substitutes for the every day foods and special eating occasions and am developing a taste for lower salt/fat/sugar in the process.

I'm blessed that BoxerBob is going along with this - otherwise I'd have a house half-full of temptations.

I'm playing a game with this diet - learn everything I can to get the most FOOD and nutrition out of the 1200 calories I get to play with each day. Every day I stay under my goal at caloriefreak.com is another day I win. The best part is seeing the monthly progress there - a graph with my intake for each day plotted - plus my average calories/fat per day over the past two months. It gives me the bigger picture - lower days balance the higher calorie days. Less stressful.

Here's a tiny version of the monthly chart for calories:

Okay, I'll shut up now. Have a great weekend everybody.

Hey there ladies. I downed a few shots of rum and it didn't help the crud. I think that maybe this could be a start of a new weight loss plan. This is the first day that I have really wanted anything other than chicken noodle soup. We had thanksgiving at the chruch today and I went way over board. Someone had made cranberry crunch and I had to get 2 helping but man it was good. Would have been better if it was still hot but hey I will take what I can get. Rusty glad to hear about the egg beaters. I have to go to the grocery store tomorrow and I am goin to give them a whilr. Thanks for the web site I am goin to go there and check it out. I think that maybe by the morning I will feel better but to be on the safe side I am goin to do a few shots of rum tonight to help sweat it out.

Here's to a BLESSED DAY to each and everyone of you
