Angry My favorite time of the year

I really enjoy the inbetween seasons myself. Though I tend to be year round tank top girl. If there is an oppurtunity I am wearing one.

Nebraska has no difinitive seasons as far as I can tell. In fact it has snowed here as late as April and as early as October. I have lived through summers where it was 103 everyday, and then the next summer it will barely crack 90. Last winter it was 65 F in November, but the winter before that the entire month of Dec was in the -20F range. So basically it's get thick skin and roll with the punches.

For Christmas I have gotten Tod 2 ties, a nice business shirt, and STNG Season 6 on DVD, and reserved Season 7. I wish I could tie a mans tie. Is there a website to learn I wonder?

Miss Chris

We have Christmas in July here, only it's just a sale gimmick. I think it's great that you all get in the "holiday" spirit. Do you play carols and all that. How wonderful, all the good things Christmas represents with out all the stress of shopping.

Me hate winter. Me wanna go to bed to hibernate all winter. So I set little goals to get thru:

1. Thanksgiving
2. Christmas
2. My Birthday 1_22
4. Valentines Day
5. St. Patrick's Day
6. Mud Season/Easter - whichever comes first

I thought I'd hit my weight goal on Valentine's Day but it isn't coming off as fast as it did when I was thirty. No surprise there. So I'm looking at St. Pat's maybe. As long as I can get back in my tank tops and jeans and barefeet for summer - I don't care when I hit it. I was pretty heavy in my faves this summer. Saw myself in a full-length mirror in the Ground Round Ladies *Lounge* and I looked like a kielbasa.

I'm with you Ro - love those tanktops. When I find one I like at Walmart - I grab two or three. I get lots of colors as long as it's black. LOL Or leopard skin.

Oh - forgot the can't live without winter stuff:

1. Warm waterbed
2. Two fluffy quilts on warm waterbed
3. Six fluffy pillows on warm waterbed
4. Two boxers on warm water on quilts on feet
5. A book a day under the covers on warm waterbed
6. Window open a smidgen - gets hot under quilts and dogs
7. Flannel granny gowns AND sweatpants - so attractive!
8. Outside? Ugh - Chapstick / scarf / mittens / warm coat (so I can wear short sleeve shirts underneath!)
9. Food? Hot soups, casseroles, pasta pasta pasta, chili and cheese
10. Space heater in bathroom for midnight trips and showers
11. Christmas CDs - mostly Celtic and Classical
12. Door to door limo service on snowy, windy or COLD days (BB and Dad!)

Tra-la! However did I get born in New England in a BLIZZARD in January? My Dad was out plowing snow on the Interstate when I arrived! My Momz was out shovelling when I decided it was time to go to the hospital! LOL

Wink What a pair?

I own alot of black and pink tank tops. Yes, Miss Macho Job's favorite colour is pink! And it goes fabulous with my peaches and cream complexion.

Favourite Christmas Tunes
1. Silent Night
2. When the Bells Tolled
3. Let it Snow!
4. Winter Wonderland
5. I am a Child of God (this is kind of a year round fav., but can make a great impact when sang over the holidays)

I am a Child of God
and he has sent me Here
Has given me an Earthly Home
with Parents Kind and Dear

Lead me
Guide me
Walk beside me
Help me find the way
Teach me all that I must know
To return to him someday

Okay I hope I didn't offend anyone there! Because I truly believe in freedom of religion and belief. Shoot my house is hodge podge from Isis to Jesus to Buddah they all live here.

I can't stand:
1. What Child is This-It was one of those things you learned when learning to read music as a child. And lets just say I see and here notes instead of the music.
2. Santa Claus is Coming to Town-How threatening is this?

Have a HAPPY DAY!

Finally a list I can love!!

Top 3 Christmas songs:
1.Little Drummer Boy ( sorry Rusty). I love this song. It is just so reminescent of my childhood.

2.Blue Christmas (Elvis' Version). I just think this is the way it was meant to be sung.

3.Santa Clause is coming to town (The Boss' Version)-This is kinda strange, since I don't particularly care for Bruce, and I don't really like this song. But I love this version. It's fun

Songs I really like:
1.Silent Night
2.It came upon a midnight clear
3.Redneck Christmas
4.Walking 'Round in Women's Underwear

I actually love most Christmas songs. I could just go on and on.

Songs I hate:
1.Most country versions of Christmas songs. I even listen mostly to country music, but they just pervert the Christmas stuff somehow.

2. Shoes For Mama-This is an old country song about a boy trying to buy him mama shoes on Christmas Eve. But he doesn't have enough money and his mama is at home at death's door. Enough said.
Have a great day!

Gotta share this before I run off to my day with Dad!

From Lillie Ross' Daily Weight Loss Tips:

We average chewing each bite of our food only about
seven times before we swallow it. Start chewing
each bite twenty times before you swallow and you
will cut your daily calorie intake by about
1000 calories.

Hello? How is this supposed to work? Chemistry or exertion?

Christmas TRADITIONS at your house:

1. Watch the Nightmare Before Christmas.

2. Go to Red Rose Pizzeria on Christmas Eve and eat a pizza with red and green peppers on it!

3. Never take the Christmas Tree down. Ever.

4. Watch both Grinch videos. Call every piece of beef you eat during the holidays Roast Beast.

5. Those white dipped - holiday season only - Oreos for BB and a box of chocolate covered cherries for me. Waah!

Talking Excessive chewing

I think that chewing alot thing works in 2 ways. One you slow down why you eat, so you feel fuller faster and more satisfied. Secondly (for me anyway) it makes eating such an excersise in boredom why bother?

In fact I think some diets exist to bore you completely with food.

Atkins- how much meat, cheese, and green beans can a person eat before they are bored to death. Though I check out the threads and these people are creative with cream cheese!

Ornish-love my veggies, but eventually you get tired of thinking up a new way to make a bean burrito exciting

The Carbohydrate Addicts-Okay I can eat the good stuff but first I have to hawk down another helping of everything on my plate? Well I guess I am not that hungry!

Anyway! I love chocolate covered cherries epecially Cellas of course in the dark chocolate coats! So here is my list!

Treats I can't live Without During the Holiday(well I enjoy the one time of year anyway !)
1. Cella's Chocolate Covered Cherries in Dark
2. Does that have almond bark on it?
3. Peanut butter balls (whatever your recipe I will eat it!)
4. Marzipan
5. Grandma's Cream Puffs

OH GEE NOW I AM HUNGRY!No worries I am eating the good stuff, but looking forward to a little of the above next week when I go to OK!

358 3356 Magic numbers, grrrrrlz.

I bought cocoa powder today - going to try whipping up some hot chocolate with skim milk and nutrasweet. Oh yum. Hold me back. LOL

Can I have a marshmallow, please?

I had a SUNDAE today at Chi-Chi's Mexican Restaurant. Ever been there? It's a riot - for $1.44 you get The World's Smallest Kahlua Hot Fudge Sundae. I swear, that's what it's called. A leetle bitty goblet with a leetle scoop of vanilla ice cream, Kahlua hot fudge and whipped cream and a cherry on top! Just enough to top off the meal - I was in heaven.
