Brit, we all have setbacks. You've got a plan for getting back on track, and that's the important thing. I went for a bike ride with my sister and BIL tonight at the local park and some jerk (sitting on his butt in a golf cart, I might add) shouted something mean about me and my (admittedly large) derriere on the bike. I wanted to come home, hide from the world and eat everything in the kitchen.

Instead I finished the bike ride, then ran on the treadmill to work out my frustrations. *Then* I had a glass of wine (just one) and stuck to my calories for the day. I'm doing what I need to and that guy can suck it, you know?

What I'm trying to say in my meandering fashion is that we all fall down sometimes, and the important thing is to pick ourselves back up again. That's what you're doing, and you'll get those 11 pounds back off in no time.

Hi Gals ~

I was still at 174 this morning. Happy to be maintaining that 4 pound loss from where we started. Busy at work but got home in time to walk the dogs for 3.5 miles before I made dinner...my night...went with a chef salad.

Great job GERLY ~ sorry you aren't feeling well DENA, the bug seems to be going around ~ great job trying to get back in the saddle GATORGAL ~ MARGIE your daughter seems to be doing well at tennis...too bad for that draw! My son in law is teaching tennis again and my dauhghter still tries to drag him onto her court from time to time....her Master's work permitting...which she just finished! THISTOO just keep doing the right thing and the pounds will eventually adjust down! PAULA great job on the 5 pounds! I hope they get your back problem figured out! WardHog we won't be perfect everyday...re-focus! Well ENNAY looks like we have work to do! C-D we will get those 3 not my friends yet! I am so happy about the attitude BRIT! You are well on your way now to losing mucho pounds...a dh that supports...new plans...being accountable...oh yeah! THISTOO that jerk is a real.... creep!

Thistoo-That's horrible that happened! I would have been so tempted to say something smart back to him. But he made himself look like a jerk so no worries there! That's great you did that and then got on the treadmill too! Wow! Thanks for the encouragement Thistoo and EZMoney. I really was hestiant to post about what I had REALLY gained :-) but knew I needed to so that I could be accountable. :-) Anyways I finally got the Jillian Michael's dvd videos I ordered today and am ready to get started on some resistance training too now. I know I'm going to be sore even though I got her "beginner" videos as well. I'm still waiting on my yoga kit that comes with a book and dvds. I'm looking forward to learning yoga as well!

Thanks, guys, I was feeling pretty bad about that jerk last night but I knew you would all make me feel better. This is such a great support group!

Paula, congratulations on your pound! You really are a weight loss machine.

Brit, let us know how you like Jillian's videos. I just love her because she's short like me and she's smokin'.

Today's my official weigh-in, so I'm officially 197.4. That's only 4 ounces down from last week, but TOM has arrived so I am retaining water. I was so worried I'd go right back up over 200 when it rolled around, but I didn't! So I'm counting it a victory and I hope to have another great loss to report in a week or so. Maybe I'll even hit my first five pound goal soon!

Hi all -- great to see everyone is doing well.

Brit -- I'm like you; if I tell myself I can't have xx then that's all I want. If I really want a certain food I fit it into my daily cals. Also, I've learned that you don't really have to eat the whole bag to enjoy something. How duh, huh? I actually enjoy whatever the food is if I have less of it. It tastes better. Now, my mouth may want more but that's a whole 'nother issue. I did find in the beginning though that I was better off just not eating xx foods until I felt I could handle the portion part of it. Paid attention to what I was eating for several weeks b/4 allowing myself any 'treat' type foods. You'll do great and those 11 lbs+ will be off b/4 you know it.

thistoo -- you mean your bike didn't develop a will of it's own and run that guy over?? Hmmm, might want to take your two-wheeler to bicycle repairman! lol

EZ -- nice job maintaining. I do the maintaining thing pretty well; it's the losing thing that is elusive sometimes!

PP -- great on the loss and new scale!

I was so OP w/eating and exercise the past two days its not even funny. Got great TM workouts Mon and Tues plus a dog walk yesterday. Just got done an incline interval TM workout -- the dang cal counter said I burned 350 cals!! I always half whatever that thing says . . . but still, I kicked butt. Just ate some cereal and am going to go do my UB wts. Then, you guessed it -- two more holes to dig for those arbs! Add in a dog walk this afternoon and hopefully I'll be done undoing my Mother's Day damage. Have a good one all!!!

so far i've been good..i don't weigh every day (for my sanity sake) but this am, I got up and DH and i took the dog hiking up the mountain. EZ- i found out our normal hike up the mountain wasn't 2 mile but 3 miles...just shy of a 5K. Then i came home and had a HUGE healthy salad with lots of veggies. 'm feeling good so far...keeping busy is helping me stay op.

hattrick...for the last few week..i too have been maitaining...i'm hoping i'm finally loosing????

Alright all..off to a few apts. Check back later.

I'm not going anywhere- fast.
Current weight 147. Wondering where I started with EZ but I know I haven't lost for at least one week. And my cals are definitely in the within weight loss range. Darnit!

What's with those calorie counters that say if you eat xxx cals you will lose 2lbs a week? Are they accurate for anyone?

Hi guys,
Thistoo, GatorgalstuckinGA and EZ, thanks for your "get well" wishes. I still don't feel 100%, which is keeping me off the treadmill. But I'm keeping my calories under control. It's funny, but I still have appetite for some reason. Anyhoo, still hanging in there. Good luck to all!
Hugs, Dena

Hi all!

Today, has been another good day. I managed to get up this morning and get in 60 mins of my Cardio Sculpt workout. That really got me pumped up for the day! I have big plans of getting in at least 4 miles on the treadmill tonight. (But, I realize that's going to take some serious prayer to get me motivated.)

I took a quick peek at the scale this morning and saw another loss. I know....I have to wait till Monday for my "official" weigh-in but I couldn't resist. Evil scale...it keeps calling me from the bathroom. All in all, another great day OP. Wow...this is actually getting easier each day! Who knew??

I don't know who comes up with those stats, but I know they're definitely not accurate for me. I have two good weeks of loss a month if I'm lucky, and that's a big if!

Okay so I'm not sure if I was just bloated yesterday or what... But I just stepped on the scale and it shows a loss of 1.4 pounds so now I'm down to 204.8. It felt nice to see a lower number than what it was yesterday. It's been a long time since my scale did that!!! After my dinner and a tv show I'm going to be hopping on the treadmill for at least 45 minutes then watch the Jillian Michael's videos I got and preview them before I try to attempt them yikes!

I may be a bit late, but I'd like to join this 5 pound guarantee. I've been doing pretty well so I think I can hang in there for awhile.

Not even in the ball park. And - with your low weight, a couple lbs. a month would be GREAT success. Hang in there and - if you haven't already - mix up your exercise routine and your diet. If I get in a rut with either, my loss slows way down. I think I need to keep the body guessing. Maybe even cycling your calories (higher for a day or two, then lower for a day or two). Stay within a range, but mix it up a bit.
