I ate WAY too much yesterday and the scale is back up. I think I must have consumed a lot of salt too. It went up too much just to be from what I ate. I need to stop this stress eating!

I weighed 139.8 this morning and I'm thrilled to see the 130's. Did Group Power and 45 min cardio today and staying on plan.

Great job, everyone!

Well, I haven't started the Beach just yet, but my weight has gone down!!! The strawberries should be gone by this weekend, then I can start on the Beach.

Hi Gals ~

I see we are having a few ups and downs...go figure Overall it looks like we are all doing pretty good.

I did it again...skipped breakfast...I have got to stop doing that. I had a doctors appt. this morning so after I took the dogs out for 3.5 I didn't have time to eat. When I got home I made 3 Hebrew National hot dogs 97% fat free...45 calories ....and put them on tortillas with just a sprinkle of cheese. Oh, and a handful of chips...OK...2 handfuls ...but that was all. For a snack this afternoon I had and celery.

I made a huge salad to have for dinner, when Angie gets home from her 5 mile run, I will cut up some breaded chicken tenders to add to it.

thistoo ~ Easy on that wine...I haven't had any today...yet...we'll see

Den@ ~ Way to stick to your plan with DH home

Shades ~ Amazing how many calories are in some desserts! Great job on just sampling

Zenor ~ for that stress

Ward Hog ~ The 30's are good

Allison ~ You'll be fine "beachin' it without strawberries

Have a great time with your work-outs and meal planning! Try some new things!

today was a good day. i am glad to say the munchies (i am going to assume came for having nothing to do at work or very little work is closer to the truth.) have left. i did Gazelle yesterday for 43 minutes and 2.7 miles. today was 41 minutes and 3.3 miles. i definitely had more energy today as well. it always amazes me as to how busy i am at work during the day effects my energy level in the evening.

Quick flyby (church meetings ran really late tonight) to say hello. I was down again this morning (139.0) which puts me down 3 lbs. for this challenge if the scale cooperates

I DID workout twice today. I felt a bit guilty. It was either exercise or cook, and so I left DH to fend for himself for supper.

Sometimes a girl's just gotta be a bit selfish

Good morning, everyone is doing great! Like EZ said, we're all going to have ups and downs, but as long as we stick with it.

Last week the scale didn't move in either direction for me. This week I've lost 3 lbs! This also helped to meet my 1st mini goal of losing 10% of my original starting weight. I'm so happy. It hasn't been easy, I've been knocked down a few times lately, but like everyone else in here, I get up and keep going.

Still trying to get the exercise in...

Just a quickie post for me. I have no clue on how many cals digging holes burn but it must be around a kagillion cause the scale dropped another lb despite my 'food fest' on Tues night. I didn't get my official wt w/out done yesterday -- I figure hours of digging and using that 17 lb digging pole counted instead. Three arbs in, six to go and its going to rain for the next 3 days. Might be a good thing, I can hardly use my right hand its so sore from yesterday. I worked nonstop digging up grass and digging some holes from 8:30 till 3pm (45 min lunch break) then we hauled the trees back into the yard (God bless the tree guy for lending us his handtruck!), dug another hole and got three in the ground. I'm exhausted today but very, very pleased w/whats done so far.

I see everyone is doing pretty well. If you go off plan, jump right back into it the very next chance you get. Two steps forward and one step backwards still gets you to your goal. Have a good one all!!

Default Up and down and up and down . . .

It was crazy yesterday and I didn't post here. I'm sure it was because I was dealing with a internally created false emergency yesterday (customer needs a plan for impossible x by 4:00, when in fact, no plan was needed, and customer wanted y which is possible), doctor's appointment, flat tire (whole story of its own), and home owners' meeting. Meaning I left home at 6:40 am as usual and except to pick up my materials for the meeting, got home at 8:30 pm to eat dinner!!

Anyway, I'm sure it was for all that and not because the scale went back up yesterday morning that I didn't post yesterday.

However, harumph, I saw a magic number this morning. I didn't tempt it by getting on and off the scale.

Ready - 1-7-5 175.

So now I'm down 1.5 pounds of the 5 pound challenge. I've been averaging 2/3 of a pound a week - so that's double my average loss.

Of course since I bounce up and down, who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Looks like a lot of us are on the upswing! Just goes to show what a little message board cheering section can do for you.

I'm a little nervous because I'm going out of town this weekend for a friend's graduation, so I won't be 100% in charge of my food choices. But she knows how hard I'm working on my health (and she's supposed to be working on hers too), so hopefully she and her family will be understanding of my minor panic attacks whenever I'm faced with restaurant food!

I hardly ever eat out so I'm still mastering the art of doing so without freaking out about it. I know how to make good choices, of course. It's just the thought of a break in my routine that makes me nervous. But I'm doing quite a bit of traveling this summer, so I better get used to it.

I hope everyone is having a great Thursday. It's my last workday of the week, so I'm enjoying it.

I weighed myself this morning, but the scale was acting kind of weird. It said anything from 148.3 to 150.3 when I got on it multiple times. I guess I'll just take the half-way point - 149.3 (woohoo, out of the 150's!). I think its time for me to get my own scale instead of using the one at the gym.

I was shooting for 1700 calories yesterday, but I only ended up at around 1300. I was going to eat more towards the end of the day, but I wasn't really hungry, so I figured I wouldn't force it. I'm going to try to add some nuts to my foods to up the calories a bit. I had a yummy salad with lots of veggies for dinner, and for dessert I had a few roasted marshmallows (no chocolate or graham crackers though )! They're a great little treat, only 20 calories for each one.

It's been a week that I've been sticking with it! I just got off the treadmill after 50 minutes, and hope to complete an hour today. So far I've lost 2 of the 6 lb. I gained. Can't wait till the scale moves again.

EZ, thanks for this thread! You're doing great!!

Good luck, everyone.

WardHog, those fluctuations are depressing. But it'll go back down before you know it! You're working too hard for it not to be.
