EZ~ You're welcome! Glad you liked the idea.

Well, I'm up a pound this morning. I think it may have been those 2 chambord and sodas I had, or maybe the buffalo burger (I haven't had a burger in ages.) Still my clothes are fitting better then they were.

Thanks for the suggestions and the link, Hat Trick. It's all great information. Right now I'm doing 4 days a week of cardio, some running intervals and some climbing intervals on the treadmill. We also do hill climbing outside (on our feet or on the bike) once a week or so. The other three days we do circuits with cardio and strength training intervals to keep our heart rate up while we strength train. On those days I generally do some steady state cardio on my own as well.

In short, I'm doing everything I can think of! I'll just have to see what happens this week and go from there. I just changed things up workout-wise, so maybe it needs a little time to kick in. Here's hoping.

Thanks again for the suggestions and encouragement. I'll keep you all posted on my progress.

Congratulations, Paula! woo-hoo! And to all of you who are sticking with it, too!

Today I did Group Power and 45 min of cardio. I was on plan yesterday and on track for today.

Keep it up!

HeySoulBliss! I was kind of following your no-weigh-in challenge, and I wanted to see how that went for you. Do you think it's responsible for you being up 7 pounds? Or would the situation have been worse if you hadn't done the challenge?

I want to do this too! I had a really bad week, and have been afraid to weigh in for the last few days, so I'll enter my official start weight when I get brave enough to step on the scale and see the damage. My pants are tighter, so I know it won't be good.

HI GALS ~

Well I started this thread a week ago and I was at 178.8 today I weighed in at 177.2...although I did hit 176 over the week-end. So realistically it looks like I am a pound down.

I had a short day at work so I was able to take the dogs for 4 miles this morning, then jump on the treadmill for 2.25 more. After work the dogs and I walked down to the vet to pick up some Heartguard for them, about almost 2 miles. They are sound asleep now!

LAURIEDAWN ~Enter your weight when and if you want. Not that important here really...we are all just trying to kick down 5 pounds then go from there...welcome

KITTYCAT ~As I said...not going anywhere soon!

DENA ~You are going to get there! Just keep going forward!

HAT TRICK ~I heard a report on water a week or so ago, it said there was no proof it helped with weight loss. I was at work and didn't get details what with screw guns and saws roaring. Not sure on that but I always looked at it like...and I don't drink enough water...if I am drinking water I am not drinking something that may be bad for me...coffee (love it black) colors my teeth, sodas and juice have the calories.

Keep up the great job ladies!

Today went really well. Calories are at 1235 right now, I'll probably have a small snack tonight to make it ~1300 total for the day. I got in about 45 minutes of climbing and I will run for 30 minutes later tonight.

Weigh in is tomorrow! I'm hoping to be in the 151 or 152 range, but we'll see. I'll be happy with a loss at all!

EZ - Great job on all the walking today! I'm sure the dogs loved it!

Hi gang - ready for another week of fun on this thread. You are all so inspirational! Paula and bargoo - AWESOME!

Today was a WONDERFUL day
I'm OP - calories are at 1157 with 60 minutes of exercise. Devotions done, water intake was good, and I wore my size 6 Vera Wang skirt today (my only size 6 piece of clothing).

Let's rock the rest of this week We can do it! I'm GONNA kick 3 more lbs. to the curb

I finally dropped the rest of the 2 pounds I gained Thursday night that I'm blaming on salt. And that 2 pounds took another half pound with it. So I've got a half pound toward the five pound goal. I'll probably bounce back up tomorrow, but that's ok. I see some folks have already reached their five-pound goal. It'll just take me a little longer. Oh, well. I think that's what I said up front.

WebRover, I'll be right here with you! It's going to take me awhile too. Congratulations on ditching the water weight! The half pound bonus is always nice, too.

I weighed in this morning at 150.5. That means I'm 2.5 pounds down, and half way there!

I ran for 25 minutes this morning (plus 10 minutes of walking for warm-up and cool down). It was kind of rough because I think I was a little bit dehydrated, but I made it through to the end. I'm going to drink lots of water today!!

Hi guys,
Today the scale showed another pound down. Yay! That means 4lbs. to go before my posted weight is right on the money. I was counting cals, but switched to my old ww points to shake things up a bit. It seems to be working. Gotta go exercise on the Treadmill.
Good luck to all!
Hugs, Dena

Good morning Ladies

I think all those miles I did yesterday paid off I was at 176.0 this morning...so here is hoping I can maintain that and go down from there. I am slow at work for a bit so I will miss that opportunity to burn off a few...but it does give me time to get walking and treadmill miles in.

Dinner was our normal Cinco de Mayo meal... one we have almost every week anyway. I made tostadas and burritos. I used the leanest hamburger, went easy on the cheese, whole wheat tortillas, a lot of lettuce, tomato and avocado and blended pinto beans instead of refried. I wanted more but I ate only what I needed...and just a tad more

Oh and I stopped at 2 beers! This makes Angie happy she continues to speak to me throughout the evening and I remember what she says

SHADES ~ Great job on getting to the half way point! Go H2O crazy today!

thistoo thanks for being there for WebRover...What a team we have!

C-D Wayto stay focused on getting your exercise time in! Enjoy that new ride

mrsaugie Great attitude!

Chickyboo I am sure that -5 will come soon

DENA that is way cool!

Gary~WTG! I'm down as well. 1 pound down from yesterday and 2.5 down from my high this past month. It's been since 4/4 that I've weighed this, so all is good.

I ditched Cinco de Mayo this year--we eat Mexican often enough that it wasn't a big deal. We're gearing up to do a week of South Beach phase 1--which means getting rid of the fresh strawberries that are so wonderful right now. As soon as the fruit is gone, we're jumping in for 7-10 days of phase 1 to really kick it!
