Paula, I agree! You look gorgeous!

I must say that I'm proud of myself today. It's 106 degrees here in Las Vegas, and still I got on the treadmill for 45 minutes. It should be back in the 80's on Wednesday, thank God.
Good luck, everyone!
Hugs, Dena I really need shades today.

ANGIE HERE!!

Okay - it's now my turn to join this guaranteed 5-pound weight loss program.

How many people do you know that can train for a half marathon relay and actually gain weight???
Now you know someone - ME!

I'm in! I am also training for the Mud Run on Camp Pendleton so hopefully I will lose some weight this time instead of gain it!

Angie - glad to have you join us! This thread has been magic for many of us - we really ARE making progress.

Paula - you look amazing! What a wonderful picture

OK Gary - back to LITE beer for you

Bargoo & Monique - you are doing AMAZINGLY well! You inspire me to keep plugging along toward my goal

Dena - WOW, when it is that warm here in northern MI - I can barely move, let alone exercise. WAY TO GO!!!!

Caroline - Pizza does that to me too - and it is salty, so it usually takes me a couple days before the scale gets back to normal. But, it WILL go down - just stick to the plan, and you will be losing soon!

gabbnteach - glad to have you join us

Hat Trick - I have one of Billy's Christian workouts. I like it and it DOES give me a good workout!

Day one of the conference went well. The food was AMAZING and I skipped all of the pastries and snacks that they kept shoving under our noses. Thank heaven's I brought my own food with me If there is ANY justice in the world, the scale should reward me handsomely for my willpower. We shall see ...

I'm new here, so new I can't even have a ticker yet... Anyway, we're moving to California in late August/early September & I have found a Stripaerobics class where we're headed to, I am determined to be confident enough in my body to take the class & possibly show off my moves for my husband! So, today is 20 May 2008 & I am weighing in at 133 which doesn't sound bad but I'm only 5 feet tall, I would like to be 105 by 1 September so I guess I'll join you all in here & try it 5 pounds at a time!

Welcome Angie!!! Glad you're aboard.

Paula -- great pic; you look fab!!

Gary -- lite beer? Ah, blech! I'd prefer one of the 'real' kind to two of the 'lite' kind anyday. But JUST ONE!

Bargoo -- HOLY COW!!! 6 1/2 lbs in just 3 weeks? How DO you do it? Amazing!!!!!!!

Dangerous curves -- way to go! 5 lbs in 3 weeks? What's in your water? LOL Good job! (p.s. -- is your avatar a pic of you? Va va va voom! )

Mrs. Augie -- you're still down a lb and that is good. Best of luck for doing the 5K all 3 weekend days. My legs would surely give out if I tried that.

Dena -- nice going on the 45 min TM workout. Feels good to do that, doesn't it? Didja get a runners high? I hope so!

Gatorgal -- you're still down 3 lbs which is great. Only 2 more to go!

Counting down -- excellent on the 'pushing away of the pastries' technique! Keep it up!

gabbnteach and strparobics -- welcome!!! we're a friendly bunch here, glad you signed up for the 'guarantee'!

thistoo -- when I was younger pizza used to actually make me giddy and giggly. Guess it was all those dang carbs! You get right back on track, 'k?

Hey, this is only the third week of the guarantee? Whew! I don't feel so bad being down 2.5 lbs. I thought it started like 5 weeks ago!

Am doing well eating OP and did another TM interval today. Took an interval break last week and felt it today. Had a long doggie walk yesterday in addition to the Billy Blanks w/out. Am feeling uber, uber fatigued today (um girly things -- Gary, plug your eyes!!) and am doing all I can just to not go crawl onto the sofa and zonk out. It's damp, dreary, and drizzly out to boot!

Everyone -- KEEP ON TRACK!! We are all doing great and will meet our 5 lb challenge!

OK Gals...we have some serious work to do....Coach Gary here is up to 175 as of this morning... ouch! Still a 3 pound loss from the start of this this challenge...but up 2 from a few days ago. Why do I celebrate my "losses" with beer and cheese ?

I know what I need to do...dang...I don't wanna!!

MRSAUGIE ~ It is hard to post the truth isn't it? But we have all been in the same boat at one time or another. Posting the truth helps to keeps us accountable to ourselves! We really don't care about your one or two pound gains here...we care about you! Good luck in the 5K...it's going to be great!

DEN@ ~ Angie and I will be in Vegas in a few weeks...tell 'em to cool it down a bit

ANGIE ~ Hi Babe I know you are out running right now as I post. I hope your run is a good one without injury! I am glad you entered our 5 pound weight loss challenge but seriously, I was only kidding that your butt looked bigger ...I love you

C-D ~ Awesome on the planning! You better be rewarded for that on the

GATORGAL ~ Not too shabby at all! Add another one or two to that in the next couple of weeks...maintain it....then another couple a few weeks later...maintain it...heck by the end of summer you will be the hottest vet in Georgia!!....heck you probably are right now!!

STRPAROBICS ~ Welcome! will you be coming to northern or southern California? I am southern!

HAT TRICK ~ Yep we are only in the third week...and if we lose only 1 pound every week or two and keep it off...maintain....and so on...we will all be feeling pretty good about ourselves by the end of summer!

Memorial Day Week-End is coming soon...burn a few extra calories each day now...so you can enjoy the time with your families at the BBQ!

Did you also tell all the gals that my calves are bigger than yours!! I love you, too!

I just got back from my "run" and feel lighter already!!
No injuries, yet. Although my knees are "feeling it".

Oh, it is FUN having Angie here too!
I joined the 5k for this weekend - I'm expecting the weather to be a lot better than the last one (ice storm)

Glad this conference is almost over. Another day of foregoing cheesecake, and ice cream, and pastries. I am leaving feedback in my evaluation regarding the food choices. Thank HEAVEN I signed up for vegetarian meals - I at least had an abundance of vegetables on my plate!

Paula-You're so pretty! Love your picture!

Everybody else seems to be doing great! You all are a source of motivation for me!

I have been laid up with a bad migraine the past two days. I get them every once in a while and they just really take me down and make me feel like dog doo-doo. So needless to say I haven't done too well on eating since my sleeping schedule is now off whack too since my migraine kept me up one night. I'm figuring out that I am a person that if my sleeping schedule gets off whack then I do NOT do well at all with eating and eat at night which I already knew duhh but just never really paid attention to WHAT I was eating and HOW MUCH I was eating calories wise and etc. I did find a really cute skinny picture of me just when I was starting to gain which was about 140 pounds and put it up on my refrigerator and THEN I found a picture of me from a year ago and well I'm the same weight lol as I was a year ago so I put that on the refrigerator too. No wonder some people I've run into don't recognize me anymore. Seeing the difference in those two pictures was eye opening and a little sobering. But it just makes me all the more determined. I'm going to be staying up all night and Wednesday too just to get back on a decent schedule and back on track. I'm going to try to exercise too as well since I can now stand up again without being dizzy. Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning everyone!

Angie, welcome to the 5 lb. club!

Paula, you looked gorgeous at the wedding. How did the bride like the surprise?

C-D, that conference of yours sounds like torture. Good for you for pointing out the terrible food choices in your evaluation. I'm sure it's a cost thing, but they could offer healthier options without breaking the bank.

Brit, I don't have any experience with migraines so I can only imagine how hard they are to bear. I'm glad you're feeling better!

Today's my official weigh-in day, and I'm back down to 196.8 after a scary couple of days back up to 199! Yikes. Note to self: No More Pizza. So 1.8 pounds to go to hit my first 5 lb. goal. It's taking awhile, but maybe next week I'll finally hit it. That'll be my 50 lbs. lost milestone as well, so it's a big number for me. Last night I passed up wine and everything. I'm going to try to lay off the alcohol calories until the end of June when I go on vacation.

Hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday! Only two more work days to go after this one and then the long weekend and the 3FC 5K! Looking forward to it.
