But Angie will love her Mother's Day present when she gets home, she has been gone all week-end to see her mom.

Thistoo- You can certainly call me that! That's really my nickname anyways short for Britney. I know my username is quite long! Thank you for the encouragement! I did enjoy the downhill parts of my first attempt of bicycling in a good 12 years. :-)

Countingdown-Yes in the past 10 days it has been so much more encouraging and easier around here for me to be OP since that's really when he's become gung-ho about it. Plus he's joining the Texas state guard and needs to be in decent physical shape in case they have to go out and help render aid to people in case of weather disasters and etc. Whoohoo for your hubby! And your stats are impressive too!

I went to my mom's today for mother's day dinner and we went to Benihana's in the Dallas area and it's an chinese/asian grill sort of place restaurant where they cook the food in front of you. It was pretty good and entertaining to watch. I had some shrimp, mostly chicken and then white rice and some fried rice too and some lean steak. I was good they give you huge portions too and I only ate about half. I didn't think to ask for a box though to have for lunch tomorrow and they just took my plate away while I had excused myself to the bathroom lol oh well. I was a little irritated about that though since that restaurant is very expensive and I cringe thinking about all the food that goes in the trash. But I guess a more positive way to think about it is that it's not going around my waistline! :-) Anyways no exercise for me today since I spent my day with my mom but back to work tomorrow. Again I hope everybody had a lovely Mother's day!

Umm Gary? Can you please look into cloning yourself so we can all enjoy the fruits of your labor? What a great MD gift!! Hey, quick question -- do you walk, run or a little of both w/your exericse? You do great w/racking up the miles and I was just curious.

Brit, yeah you'd think that since you've mastered the TM that riding a bike would be nothing. My guess is that you're using your leg muslces differently -- or using different leg muscles? You'll acclimate in no time and be racing that bike!

Had a very good time at my mom's yesterday. Needless to say, I threw all sense out the window and well, ate! And since it was pasta (which I usually don't eat much) I, uh, won't be getting on the scale till the end of the week. Oh, and the homemade pound cake didn't help either! Dang, we're good cooks and bakers. It's both a blessing and a curse. But . . . I knew this was likely to happen which is why I stuck OP prior and am right back on track today. Had a great TM workout already and am aiming for 1400 cals today and most of the week.

Hope everyone had a good weekend and can get right back into it if they were off a bit. TTFN!

well its another scorching day here in england...

im sat in a lovely strapless top and shorts and flip flops... the cats are playing out in the garden and my conservatory is roasting hot!

im using daily plate to track again and i like it mmuch more than fitday as the foods are often english ones! so much easier..!

i was planning on doing some uni work today but i cant get my brain into gear so im gonna spend today cleaning and doing laundry and then spend tomorrow doing my essays and stuff...

i was at a firm 207 today so happy my weight has levelled back off again!

Thumbs up

Hi all!

Just wanted to check-in quickly before I indulge in Dancing with the Stars. I know...it's really bad reality tv but I just can't help myself.

Over the weekend, I ran my first charity 5K race! It was a great day and easily one of the happiest moments of my life. It's amazing how challenging yourself and completing your goals will boost your self-esteem!

Things are going right in my life. And then I woke up this morning and stepped on the scale for my weekly weigh-in. I lost 1.5 lbs in one week! Bringing my total weight loss to 2 lbs!! Too proud for words!

Well, I have 1 min to wrap this up before my show. So let me just say...good luck to everyone this week! Every day is a chance to make a positive change in your life. And you're more than worth it! So get out there and do it!

Hey HAT TRICK first of all I don't think anybody could handle two of me Angie did appreciate my gift. Angie and I share the cooking and chores around here since we both work. I usually do the vacuuming and mopping, we split the laundry, she does our bathroom...I do mine...and nephew does the company one, she does the dusting. I wash the dinner dishes (pots and pans, etc. that we don't put in the dishwasher) no matter who cooks When ...if everyone did "their" job.

As far as my miles...mostly I walk. I am usually out with the dogs for an hour or so, then about another hour on the treadmill. I will jog some if I don't have the dogs...they run!! being used to going with Angie. In the 5K's I decide at race time whether I will walk or run...weired...but I run slow! Keep in mind I was off most of last week...so more miles. I was up at 4am today...gone at 5am and worked all day, when I got home Angie had already left with the mutts so I did 3.5 on the treadmill......

Had a very good time at my mom's yesterday. Needless to say, I threw all sense out the window and well, ate! I had a full day at work but I did get 3.5 in on the treadmill tonight. Had a low calorie...low tasting beer before dinner and a very small glass of wine after dinner.

Weighed in this morning at 174.6 again, so I am still at 4 pounds down since we started.

You are all doing SUPER!

Whoot!!! It's 10:20pm and I'm sitting between 1400-1450 cals for the day. Feels excellent to get right back exactly on track after yesterdays, ah indulgences. And there's a big hunkin' piece - the last piece - of pound cake sitting in the kitchen. Nope, not even a crumb today. Can't even describe how fab it is though. Like velvet just melting in your mouth. Must run away b/4 temptation strikes!! Hey some of you guys are kicking butt w/your 5 lb. challenge. How DO you do it? Keep up the fantastic work!!!!
