Good Morning Ladies. Hope everyone had a good evening. I do believe that I cannot wait for baseball season to be over. Our last game is around the 15th of June so 1 more month. Don’t get me wrong, I love to watch my kids in sports, but with 4 kids & me and hubby both working full time we never get a chance for rest. LOL just realized, we will be done with baseball on 15th of June but will start football August 1st, and all 3 boys will be playing this year.

Lois, Major ouch on the ankle sprain. Hope its better soon.

Robsia Congrats on finishing the book can’t wait to see it on the shelves. So can you give the title?

Michelle 98 in Oregon, I didn’t realize that you guys got up that high. Is the humidity high too? Here in Oklahoma when it’s hot it is also very humid. Right now we are still hanging around in the 70’s.

Erin How did it go with the peanut butter? My boys LOVE the stuff, I can’t stand it.

Lillian Sorry to hear you get depressed on gloomy days. I love rainy days and find them so romantic. I also get a lot of energy during the rain and usually get lots of housework done.

Well I have already clocked into work today, guess its now time to actually get to work.

Default Happy Tuesday!

Good morning chickies! It's going to be a scorcher for me today +27!! Not sure what that is in F? Maybe Linda can convert it for me. Not much on the list today but housework...blehhh! I'd rather be outside, but since it's going to be that hot I don't think I could handle the sunshine.

Michelle, I love going to the greenhouse. I love flowers! I'm rather new to the idea of having my own flower beds and ect. I didn't have much interest before I moved to my new home. Now I want it landscaped! LOL! Last year was the first year I've planted perrenials and I was so excited to see them coming again this year. I think it has turned me into a greenthumb monster! LOL!

Linda, there are much worse things you could lose control over. Air popped popcorn isn't much to worry about. I guess it would be the behavior in which you're consuming it. Don't beat yourself up over popcorn. I love cats and I can just imagine their little faces when they were looking at you after they've knocked your rod!

Erin, LOL @ consultation! You could probably teach me a few tricks of the trade! Like I said I'm just a "light" greenthumb. Not sure of everthing I do, but I get out there and try. I gotta learn somehow. You're so welcome for the encouragement. We're here for eachother. No one knows better than us what it feels like to try and tackle weight loss.

Liliann, just remember after the rain there's always a rainbow!! Better things are in store. Keep hanging in there girl. You CAN beat this!

Lois, wouldn't that be the way it is. You're stoked up to start burning and bam!...something gives. So sorry your ankle is giving you problems. It sounds very painful. I saw on TV a woman who does workouts from sitting on a chair. Maybe you could try something like that? Yeah right, huh?! I hope it starts to mend faster that a speeding bullet, I know how disappointed you must feel.

Cheryl, I had to chuckle reading about your cat. I used to have one when I lived at home with my mom. (can't have one now due to allergies in the family) But anyways, my parents were on an acreage so they needed cats for mice reasons specifically. Well I had this one cat and a great micer she was, but I had her babied aswell. I used to let in her in and my mom wasn't the greatest fan. She would always say something to her like, you need to be outside and we're sure she'd answer in a meowing NO. It sounded just like it. So from that day on no matter what mom said she'd answer NO. And my mom wasn't impressed in a funny sort of way...hahaha!

Kim, I have had a few comments about ppl I've looked like. I must have a side of many faces. One lady who came to this thread quite a while ago said I looked like Angelina Jolie, I had a hair dresser call me Catherine Zeta Jones and my husband has this one picture of me where he thinks I look like Gina Davis. hahaha!! Sally Feilds is a new one! All great skinny women and I only wish I was...so my only comment would be...are sure it's not Delta Burke you see!?? hahaha! Nice to meet you too, welcome! I hope we can get to know you better.

Robbin, all I can say is "God be with you". I couldn't handle so much sports either. But I know you really don't mean in that way. It's fun for your kids and that's all that matters. But it would be nice to have more time for yourself. Maybe you and your husband could tag team the games and sometimes you get to stay home all by yourself? Wow, you could you even imagine? LOL!

Hope you all have a great day! Make the most of what it has to offer you!

Welcome Kim, glad to have you join us!

Tina...When I lived in Oregon I had beautiful flower beds, and I spent a lot of time caring for them. I mostly loved my roses and I visit them about every two years.LOL My brother-in-law dug my roses up and planted them at his place. I couldn't bring them to North Dakota, they would never survive the winter here.
All that grows in my flower beds are weeds. We spend all of our time mowing the 7 out of 10 acres we have. Next year I plan on digging up the flower beds, laying a layer of plastic and putting gravel over the top of that with flower pots.

Lois...Hope your ankle is feeling much better today!

Michelle...Hope you are not having another scorcher today. If you are, hope you have your feet proped up in front of the air conditioner with a bowl of ice.

Liliann...Sorry you are feeling down today and the weather is dreary. Have you thought about working out to WATP on days you can't get out? I have to do that 6 to 7 months out of the year.

Robbin...I know how you feel about running to all the sport activities. I was so glad to see basketball over with. I'm glad that our foster daughter goes out for a sport, but with the price of gas it was killing us. I was driving 37 miles round trip just for practices and once the games started, well the fartherest I had to go was 120 miles away. Only two more days till school is out. YEAH!!!!!

I've been busy sewing the backing to my daughters quilt today. Taking two quilts to the quilter tomorrow. Getting ready to applique the kids onto my quilt boarder. Can't wait to finish it so I can post a picture of it. Well gals, I'm going out for a walk, it's pretty nice here today so I want to enjoy it while it last. LOL

Erin ~~ Oregon didn't used to get this hot, but that seemed to change a few years ago. Temps are a little better today, but it's still pretty warm.

Liliann ~~ I'm sending a ton of this sunshine to NJ! Have you ever heard of the WATP workouts? I have about 12-13 dvds and I do them right in my own home. They are very easy yet you get a really good workout.

Linda ~~ Yes, I LOVE the AC! It's a lifesaver!

Robbin ~~ We don't have the humidity that you get, but it's still a very HOT heat! Last summer when my daughter and I went back to Iowa for 6 weeks, we certainly had to adjust to the humidity! By the time we came back home, the 95F temps didn't even bother us.

Tina ~~ I love flowers; think they're just beautiful! Daisys are my favorite! I like to put hanging flower baskets and twirling kites in front of our living room window.

Cheryl ~~ I have been staying in so far today, until I have to go get my daughter from school. Later on, my husband and I are going grocery shopping...how fun, not!

I hope all of you other girlies are having a good day!!!

Cheryl, flower pots are just as good as flower beds. I have both and the good thing about pots is that you can change it every year and way less maintenance! Looking forward to seeing another pic of your quilt. I bet it's gorgeous!

Michelle, daisies are forbidden here...LOL! My uncle used to spray for weed control around the rural areas up here and there's a pesky weed called mayweed that looks an awful lot like daisies. The flower is exact but the stem is different. It's really hard to get rid of and spreads terribly. And for farmers that means trouble come harvest. Personally I think it's the prettiest weed around! LOL

Hope ya'll having a good evening!

Hi Ladies...

Just a quick check in and update. Lillian, Cheryl, Erin, Robbin, Tina & Linda... thanks! ...the ankle is much better, I'd say about 90%. It started aching on Sat. afternoon and by Sun. I could barely put any weight on it... Sun. night it was throbbing so bad I could have cried! I kept it wrapped with an ace bandage and that seem to help stabilize it. ..Yesterday it began to feel better and today, much better . It felt good enough for me to get a workout in. I did the 1 mile vid... we'll see how it goes tomorrow.

I hope everyone is doing well and that all had a good day! ... I will check back later.

Tina ~~ I didn't even realize that daisies are considered weeds LOL! I just have always though they were so pretty!

Lois ~~ I'm so sorry I must have missed where you posted about your ankle. I'm glad it's starting to do better now, because that could get discouraging not being able to exercise.

Today was another very warm day, but it felt so good in here with the AC! What a difference it makes, but I'm a little worried how high the electric bill will be. Does anyone know if it equals out to what the heating bill would be in the winter? Have a good night and I'll be back tomorrow again...

Lois... Glad to hear your ankle is feeling better! and able to do a workout video.. Way to go, girl!

Hello dear ladies.... Tuesday was not good..dealing with depression again..even listening to music to get myself up again. I am not usually like this..Morning will call my mental health doctor for an early appointment. I am sorry to be a downer. I am doing my best to get my groove back..and my cheerfulness mindset.

As for the WATP..I do have 3 videos w the blue weighted balls.I will force myself to do them again. I used to them and loved the simple workout you get from it. Just can't do them in my own living room, one of my sisters is a techie gal and she removed the vcr away and got in dvd recorder..oh well..I can do them only downstairs in my other sister apartment.. the one am a caregiver for. Thank you for the reminder of WATP!

Enjoy your Wednesday ladies..

GOOD MORNING GIRLS!! Well I also have busted out my WATP tapes and have done a section of the 2 mile for abs tape Sun, M and today, yesterday I did the elliptical 10 min (1.2 mi). I am sore but likeing it. I am beginning to think i have hit my first plateau and i am determined to break through it. I can't seem to get below 270, i have hit it a couple of days in the last week but then i go back up. I actually think i was not eating enough. I know blasphemous kind of words but i have experienced this before, the less i eat the less i lose. So i am trying to take in a little more of the healthy stuff and resist the urge to pig out!

Lillian Depression is such a horrible beast, don't worry about being a downer, your honesty is appreciated and that is what we are here for, to bring each other up, we can't do that if we don't know you are down!! I have fought depression off and on for years, sometimes i can get out of it without help and sometimes not. Don't be afraid to get the help you need. I can say my mood has been much better since starting b12 and avoiding refined sugar. Maybe you could check with your docs and see if that would be a possibility for you.

Lois Glad to hear the ankle is doing better!! Back to exercise already you are a dedicated woman!

Cheryl Can't wait to see the quilt!

Linda My kids may not have torn down wallpaper (yet!) but they have written with permanent marker on my furniture and created a small pool in my bathroom, not in the tub!! Apposable thumbs can really add to the dilemna. I just consider these events future moments of joy when their kids do things like this to them!!

Tina So far this summer i have killed to sets of plant to put along my fence at the edge of my drive so i think you better be teaching me!!

Robbin Fortunately the peanut butter remained on the spoons and in the mouths this time! They even put the jar back! I nearly passed out! Kids will amaze you sometimes! I agree on the schedule slowing down. I intentionally have not gotten my kids involved in the sports thing because i know i could not keep up with the schedule. Hope you find the energy to keep going!

Michelle Glad to hear things are cooling off a little for you and that the AC is working well for you! Did your mom ever get another appointment with the MD about her Diabetes??

I know I am probably missing some personals but i really need to be getting ready so my daughter is not late for school! She has a field trip to a Semi-Pro baseball game today and her daddy is going to meet her there. She is pretty excited to say the least! Hope ya'll have a fantastic day of exercise and healthy eating whatever that means for each of us!!!!!

Good Morning everybody . . . the sun is trying to come out again this morning but boy did it ever rain last night. Hopefully no self-respecting forest-fire could resist it for too long.

I'm feeling a little funky this morning. It's official wwi morning and for some reason my body is practicing maintenance (actually down a whole .2 this morning, but I'm not going to bother redoing my ticker) even though my mind is diligently working on weight-loss. It does get depressing, but I'm trying to keep it in perspective. At least the overall direction is the right one even though this tortoise is getting bored with the pace. Hopefully the coming week will be better. I hope, I hope.

Anyway, it's going to be a busy day. Many things to do and many places to go. Hopefully I'll get back for some personals later on. In the meantime, just remember you are all individually in my thoughts. Keep it moving and shaking, gang.

Mornin Ladies, We lost another game last night. It really bugged the boys cause the other team had a couple of girls on it. OH MAN did we loose to girls. LOL We will see how tonights game is. Tonight is the last game till the 25th thank goodness.

Lois I am glad your ankle is better. You are very dedicated to get right back at the workouts. I havent exercised in like 2 weeks. I just cant seem to fit it in with all the other stuff going on.

Lillian, I hate it that you are feeling depressed. I understand the feeling. If I am starting to feel down I try smiling for no reason, it kinda makes you feel silly but after a while of smiling it kinda helps.

Meowee & Erin, I have only had 1 small plateau since starting my journey in January. It lasted for only 2 weeks where I had only a 1/2 pound loss. But it seems that the way I got past it was to throw my body off track. I had a "Cheat Dinner", and have been throwing them in every couple of weeks since then. I decide when I want to have my cheat then I try to think of 1 food that I have really been craving and add that to my meal, just in moderation. It always sends me way over my calorie and fat limit for the day but the crazy thing is when I weigh the next day I usually have dropped a little. I dont know what that is all about but it works for me.

Well ladies it is once again time to get to work. It looks like it is gonna be pretty slow. Hopefully I can stay awake, I am so tired today.

Check back later

Default Help

Yesterday I was very satisfied with everything I ate, it all tasted good and filled me up. Today I am going to go crazy. I am hungry, I am starving, and I DO NOT WANT healthy. I want Mexican, chimichanga's, I want lots of Cheese, gooey cheese, taco's, nacho's, lots of meat, beans, rice. I can't help it.

I ate my healthy very low fat(2 grams) breakfast this morning. Had my snack fat free pringles. Brought chicken and rice soup(3 grams) for lunch and fat free yogurt for afternoon snack. The problem is the 2 mexican restraunts down the road are both calling my name. I think I am gonna loose it this time. I have fought off all of my cravings with healthy substitutes but this time I'm not sure I can. I have been wanting mexican for a few days and was planning on making my low fat version of chicken enchilada's for dinner tonight but thats not what I want.

How do I get over this

Good Morning Everyone...

Well this morning it's much cooler; I'm actually cold. It's supposed to get up to about 87F today.

Erin...Great job getting out the WATP videos! They are my most favorites!

Liliann...I'm sorry you're having such a hard time right now with the depression. I have had many times with that, and it's no fun having to deal with. Just keep coming here and hopefully everyone can help you out with support and motivation. If you can just start out with 10 minutes of WATP, you will start to feeling much better, and it might even help you out with the depression. Stay strong and keep goin!

Linda...You are doing so good...just keep goin forward!

Robbin...Maybe you need a little caffeine to get you goin this morning. It wouldn't be much fun falling asleep at work!

Default Happy Wednesday!

Good afternoon ladies! I hope ya'll having a fine day. It isn't as hot as it was yesterday. We have some cloud coverage but it is still quite warm. Only a few degrees less than yesterday.

My fairy fat-mother waved her wand and another 1.5lbs. have vanished into thin air! Woo Hoo!

Lois, glad to hear you got a workout in despite that ankle barking. Hope you're doing well today!

Michelle, not sure daisies are considered weeds either, but the weed that is known to be a noucense (sp?) here looks like a daisy. I would imagine that your electricity bill shouldn't be affected as much as the furnance kicking in every 20 mins in the winter. But that was a great question!

Liliann, depression is very hard to beat. I admire your stamina to keep trying. That's half the battle is saying in your head not to give up. I hope you get everything outta your appointment tomorrow. Good luck with fitting in your videos aswell.

Erin, with all this increased exercise have you thought that maybe you've built your muscle up a bit. We know that muscle weighs more than fat. As soon as your body adjusts I'm sure it will starting falling off again. It has too! And I won't even ask how you've managed to kill the plants..LOL!!

Linda, hang in there. As long as you keep doing what you know is right it will begin to start moving again. Maybe try some plateau breaking techniques. Never know it could begin something great.

Robbin, I wish I was here earlier when you were fighting these crave moments. I'm curious as to what you did. My advice would have been to fight it and take the healthier supplement when you got home. I realize you have just mentioned that you have one cheat meal every couple of weeks. Keep it and work towards it as a reward. You'll feel much better about consuming it then. But if that advice comes too little too late, then I say...what ever you do don't beat yourself up over it. It's one meal, one day and there are plenty more days ahead of you to rectify it.

Have a great day ladies! May your fairy fat-mothers visit you today! LOL

TTFN!
