Hi Ladies,

Well, I gained a pound, and I'm not surprised. At least I grazed on broccoli, mushrooms and carrots instead of chips! It's a new week, so Will get back on track with eating right and exercise.

Cassie...So glad to hear you went to the doctor. Hope it heals real fast for you.

Michelle...I'm so sorry to hear your grandmother is ill. I will keep your family in my prayers.

Tracy...Glad to hear your ankle is feeling better.

Tina...Congrats on another pound gone. WTG!!!

I'll be back tomorrow morning and post some more personals. I"m posting a picture of the quilt I just finished. It's called "Minnestoa Blizzard". The colors are cream, gold, navy blue, forest green, sage green and burgandy in prints, plaids and solids.

Howdy ladies - I am going to have to make this a quickie, mountain of paperwork, laundry to do so i can finish packing and sleep is always a nice thing!!

thanks to everyone for the support about weighing, sometimes i think i must be kind of a sadist to keep torturing myself but if i don't weigh I don't lose!

Also many thanks for sentiments about my dad, he is still having "episodes of weirdness" but so far no turning blue again!!

I will try to do some more personals in the morning if i get everything done before i have to get my daughter off to school. From there straight to see patients and then its sand here i come!!!

Ya'll have a fantastic weekend, i will be thinking of you! Love, Erin

Default Happy Wednesday!

Hey ladies! It's been quite a day! I finally got my new SuV today, it's a Nissan Murano, the color is called red spice. And now we get to go to Edmonton...you know the place I wanted to escape to a long while back. It's the capital city of Alberta, for those of you who don't know. It has the biggest mall in the world (I think, it could have changed by now..but it was) and I'm going SHOPPING!! We will be leaving sunday morning. The scale remained the same this morning but I expected that and it's quite alright. I was out pratically all day so I ended up having Subway for supper.

Cassie, thanks for the congrats and encouragment. What a relief to hear you have something to clear up your infection. And it's feeling better. Don't fret about your slip up (fried chicken) you'll be burning it off, just keep up those workouts!

Michelle, yes we expect our grandparents health to falter as they get older but that doesn't make it any easier. Sorry to hear of your grandma. I lost my grandfather just before my daughter was born...being pregnant I couldn't fly to go to the funeral to say my goodbyes. I still find it tough today when I think about it. We were very close. My thoughts go out to you and your family.

Elem-pgf, thanks for the congrats. I hope you beat the scale demon right out of there! Step on it once, first thing after you wake up and take that number. Glad to hear your dad is outta the hospital. Hope your busy day wasn't too hectic.

Lois, sorry to hear your trampoline experience wasn't a great one. But at least you gave it a try.

Linda, hang in there girl. We all have those days where we're going to feel overwhelmed by how far we need to go...but the most important thing is to remember how far you have come. It is no small defeat!

Robbin, I didn't get outta bed till pretty late this morning..so I know what you mean. But my day soon perked up. Hope yours did too!

Robsia, keep those gremlins on your side of the pond! LOL! It sure was one thing after another..glad you've got past it. Congrats on beating your March talley. You're doing so well, in all aspects of your life. Thanks also for the congrats!

Cheryl, I'm sure that pound won't be sticking around for long! Seems ridiculous that someone could gain from snacking on veggies. Chaulk it up to fluctuation and move past it! Thanks also for the congrats! Your quilt looks amazing. I'm not a quilter by no means...but maybe I should show the one I did for my daughter.

Well, that's about all folks. Hope you all had a really awesome day and made it count! Have a great evening and I'll see you in the A.M.!

Michelle~ I'm so sorry to hear that you're grandma isn't doing well! Losing my grandmother was so hard....I'll be praying for you!

ELEM-PGF~ Yes! I totally loooove the skin on the fried chicken. Gets me into trouble, but I just can't bring myself to leave it alone! Don't worry about that scale...I'm sure you'll get that BIG loss soon!

Meowee~ I know what you mean about it being hard to keep up with this thread! We're a chatty bunch, I guess! I know EXACTLY what you mean about having "one of those days". Thankfully, as you said, they do pass. Chin up!

Robbin~ Ha! The "mommy" in me is always coming out, too! And I am taking my medicine like a big girl.

Robsia~ There you are! Sorry you're week has been so hectic!

Cheryl~ Sorry to hear about the gain, but like you said, you'll be right back on track! The quilt looks beautiful!

Tina~ Congrats on the new ride! We got a new SUV a couple months ago, and I just loooove it! The bad thing: GAS! Especially with the gas prices as high as they are now...sheesh!

Well, as of this morning, the evil fried chicken had no effect on my weight...in fact, it had gone down some! Not recording the change until my 'official' weigh in day, which is Friday.
I have a question for you ladies...we are all here because we have 100lbs or more to lose, so I think we all might have thought of this: Are you concerned about excess skin once you get all the weight off? It might sound petty, but I am, and I do NOT have the $$ for plastic surgery. Just wondering if it's something that you all think about.
Workouts are going great!!! Never thought I would love sweat so much, LOL! It makes me feel so good to be getting into shape, and I am starting to see that my body is changing! Woo hoo!

Erin...Glad to hear your Dad is doing better. Have fun at the beach.

Tina...WOW, a new SUV and now a trip to Edmonton! I know you will enjoy both. I would love to go to the mall in Edmonton. I've been to Mall of America several times, but don't know which is bigger. They are both big and plenty to do, see and shop if your a mall rat. Hope you post a picture of your daughter's quilt, I'd love to see it.

Cassie...I can can't leave the chicken skin alone either. it's the best part!
Glad you showed no effect from it. Cassie, I'm not worried about the loose skin. I'd rather be THIN and HEALTHY with loose skin, than FAT and UNHEALTHY. Also, the younger you are, the less likely you will have loose skin. Loosing slowly give your skin time to adjust to the new you.

Robsia...Thanks for the Just what I needed to get myself back in the groove. Besides, it cold here this morning, so it will warm me up!!!

Have a good day and I'll check in later.

Cheryl

Morning, chickies . . . I'm still in a blue, cloudy funk . . . two days in a row . . . it's a 'streak' that I hope will soon be over. Just though I'd pop in to let you know I'm still thinking about all of you, and appreciating the fact that you are all here to listen to me whine.

Chicken skin is one of the few fattening things I don't like. Another one is sour cream. There must be something else, but I sure can't think of it. To go along with my funk, I'm not doing too well with either the eating or the exercising. Luckily there isn't anything too obnoxious in the house to eat . . . but I can manage to pack in lots of relatively 'good' calories . . . about 2300 yesterday.

Have a great day, everybody. Keep moving and shaking. I'm trying to give myself a good stiff but so far it isn't working. But I will keep on trying and sooner or later, I know I can connect the dots again.

See you soon.

Wow by not checking in last night I had a bunch of reading to do this morning and since I spent so much time reading I dont have time now for personals. So just a couple thoughts from me this morning and hopefully I will have a slower evening tonight and be able to get back with personals.
My boss will be out next week and I will be able to keep up a little better with my posts.

I cant imagine not liking the skin from fried chicken or not liking sour cream. Actually I cant imagine not liking anything that is full of fat. It is all good, however, here lately I have noticed that if I eat something that isnt in my normal diet it kinda makes my tummy upset.

Well gotta run, Check back later.

Cassie - To tell you the truth, I'm really not that worried about excess skin. It took me a long time to come to terms with my body and I just feel if I can come to terms with it at this size, I'm sure I can do it again when I lose the weight. I already have the flappy arms, plenty of back fat, saggy tummy. I have accepted that I will still have those things when I lose, just smaller.

Well, I made it to the supermarket yesterday although by the time I got home I passed out. I'm surprised I was awake enough to actually put the food away. I got all the things I needed, including plenty of fruit. They had a fantastic sale on chicken cutlets and I got a bag of like 20 for only 11 dollars and change. You can't beat that with a bat.

Default Happy Thursday!

Good morning chickies! Well you'll never guess...ANOTHER POUND DROPPED OFF THE SIDE OF THE BOAT THIS MORNING!! I wasn't expecting that, especially cause I only walked once yesterday. But hey I'll take it. I just hope it stays that way and does't decide to show back up.

Cassie, it's funny you've mentioned the skin cause I just asked that question in the 100lb. club forum to see if any of the ladies there had their own experiences to share. One sent a good read up (haven't had the chance to read it all though), you should look it up and see if it clears anything up for you. Just follow me, I think you can go to my profile, find all threads started by me and you'll see it. I hear ya on the gas for the SUV...but I just can't go back to a car. There nothing worst than trying to rock yourself up outta one...hahaha! Congrats on your unofficial scale victory!!

Cheryl, yeah it's gonna be fun for the whole family. There's shopping for mom (and dad) a waterpark, amusement park, seaworld with submarine rides for the kids (and mom!..hehe), miniature golf and I hear they have two new places something about dinosaurs and a mini world for kids. Have to check that out. I'll try to get a picture of my daughters quilt today.

Oh Linda, there's nothing worst than feeling down in the dumps and overwhelmed. And there's nothing or no one who can say anything good to get you out. You have to believe what you've heard and take it to heart. It'll come I know, sometimes it just takes time to reach you. Hope you have a pretty good day despite it.

Robbin, that's the way it always is. If it tastes good, then it's probably bad for you! LOL! But you're right about eating not so good stuff now...it gets you in the end! Other than the pizza, I haven't had anything greasy since Jan. and I can't even bare the thought of it now.

Tracey, glad you had a good shopping experience. Sounds like you got a lot of good stuff to keep you in line. Yay!

Well, off to do my walking. Check back with you all later! Have a wonderful day ladies and make it a great one in the fat burning department. In that case....Have a two for one sale today!! hahaha!!

TTFN!

Someone else we haven't seen a few days is Diana.

Diana, if you're out there underneath that stress pile...just know we're thinkin' of you and hope you're still maintaining that strong will power of yours!

Cassie ~ Thank you for the prayers. I'm sorry to also hear about your grandma. It is so hard losing people you are so close to and love.

Linda ~ Cheer up, things will get better. I don't like chicken skin either; I always peel if off if I'm at a restaurant.

Robbin ~ You're very busy; hope things start to slow down.

Tracey ~ I get my bags of boneless skinless chicken breasts at Costco for $11.99, and they're so good!

Tina ~ You're losing weight right and left! You say you're just counting calories? What calorie range do you go by each day? I'm so happy for you getting your new SUV! I know what kind it is and they're nice! Have a fun time on your little trip!

Liza ~ Haven't heard anything from you in a couple days. Hope you're doing good.

I called and was able to talk to my grandma this morning for about 5 minutes; she is so weak! They're still running tests, because the xrays didn't show anything yesterday. Have a fun day everyone...

Wow, I actually think I'm starting to brighten up a little. Now if the sun would just come out things would feel so much better.

Robbin . . . It's amazing how fast your body gets used to what it is being given . . . both good and bad stuff. It really doesn't like change. So we have to keep giving it the good stuff.

Tracey . . . I agree completely. I'm pretty sure my body couldn't possibly look any worse than it does now, so it's bound to look better with a hundred pounds less of it. The better health part is what really drives me. If I was 30 years younger, I might feel differently.

Tina . . . I read that thread a couple of months ago. Very enlightening. Meg mentioned (somewhere) that she was getting close to her third (I think) plastic surgery then and that she was very glad to trade scars for her saggy skin. As I mentioned above, I'm not too sure that would be high on my agenda at age 63. If I was your age . . . ??? Congratulations on another pound, BTW.

Michelle . . . So glad you got to talk to your Grandmother. Hope you can report a rally really soon. My for you (toes too).

See you later, gang. Have a good evening.

Who can afford the plastic surgery? Not me thats for sure. I wonder if there any ways insurance pays for it.

Robbin . . . I think I remember that Meg's thread talks about that aspect, too. As I recall, sometimes YES, sometimes, NO.

You can get to the thread the way that Tina suggested or you can use this link . . .

Cheryl, I took a picture of my daughters quilt. REMEMBER, this is my FIRST quilt and I am by no means a seamstress! LOL! But I am pretty proud of what I accomplished.

And for the rest of you ladies....I thought I'd share a picture of my new wheels! I'm thinking of naming it "baby spice" seeing that the paint color is called red spice.
