I am not sore either... but man did i sleep good last nite!!!
|
LOL I wish Petra... * sigh* A full body massage - dream on. Everything here on the coast is more expensive. This is the only gym anywhere around.. and to top it off, if I want to take that class it costs extra. And the hours they are open kinda suck too... I really have to think about it. Anyways... glad to hear you are both recovering well from your workouts. Guess your bodies are in better shape than you really gave them credit for ;) Have a great day Ladies!!!!! ttys :grouphug:

Dee do u have curves or ladies workout express?
|
Hi Everybuddie!!
I am still around..still not losing..but still not gaining....so will take that. I feel great! Still smoke free. I am consentrating on that and making it through the holidays. I am exercising and can relate to the sore muscles. It has been cold here!! Bitter cold..so it just snaps all your energy! Petra: Thanks for the advice..I am going to the doc today and I will let you know how it turned out. Personal trainer..I am so jealous. I have 9 more months until I turn 40 and I want to be fit for my bday!! I know I can do it!!! Curly:I sleep a lot better when I exercise! Keep up the great work. I need to read the biggest loser thread..maybe that will step up my motivation. Valerie: You are doing great too!! THat is a great loss for a month!! Iwmonn: Thanks for asking about me. I have done real time chat with some other WW buddies..it is a lot of fun! I prefer to do it in the evenings. I have tried to contact turtle but haven't heard from her..hopefully some others will come out of hiding.Life is so busy with the holidays. I know I have tons of school programs to go to and special things for M. Oh..forgot to tell you, she lost her top front tooth and the other one is loose..but I am NOT allowed to sing the song. LOL Lisa WYoming |
We are expecting 4-8 inches of snow tonight and I'm on call this weekend. Won't that be fun!
|
Hi girls....
Lisa....So nice to hear from you girl!! Congratulations on the non smoking. woohooo, you are doing an awesome job!!! Valerie....WOW.. Keep up the great work, curves is definitely working for you!!! great job Petra....Hopefully all the snow crews will have all the snow up and out of the way by the time you need to work. We are also in the middle of a smaller storm...3" expected!! How did you manage with all your tins of nuts? yum yum. Iwmonn......I'm so glad your leader gave you the slider to calculate the points. I can't imagine how you thought you'd have to do it all by hand. Its a neat trick. The other tip I could offer you....is when you come home from groceries, before you put everything away......is to get out a magic marker and calculate the points and mark on the box/bag how many points a serving is. Then...You don't have to whip it out every time you have something from the pantry. Try it, it really works!!! Also works to discourage you if something is high in points and you dont' have enough to plan for it. Just got back from the gym and I really surprized myself. I turned on the treadmill, got my music on and started reading a magazine. Before I knew it, I had run 3 miles!!!! HOLY COW!!! :carrot: I feel so PUMPED:carrot: That was in addition to Jillians workout before, so woohoo!!! There is no way next weighin I'm going to be the same yoyo weight!!! :nono: |
:( wahhh pout stomp! WTH yyyyyyyyyyyy did TOM have to come see me??? he has been gone since july! grrrr i think he came just to ruin my weigh in saturday! :(
|
Angel eyes it really isn't just curves. I was at curves for 6 months and only lost a few pounds. I didn't really start dropping till I started limiting my calories and started doing WATP Tues, Thurs & Saturday.
We're having a huge storm here. We're supposed to get up to 10 inches of snow! A plane just went off the runway at the airport and though a retaining wall out into traffic.:sp: I've really had enough of winter. I need to move somewhere warmer that doesn't get snow! |
Hi PIC's,
I'm sure glad to see all the posts today! It motivates me so much more I think :shrug. I was back at work today. The CRUD is going around again. We were down 2 people. Really frustrating when I think of all I have to do to prepare for inventory before we go to Denver. All in all tho, not a bad day. As they say- it beats the alternative. heheheh Curly~ I would love to try out Curves but I live in a pretty remote area. I suppose I should count my lucky stars there is a gym at all. (or not, since I can't afford it lol) The next closest gym is like 1-1/2 hours away. I will survive! Petra~ WooHOOOO for the snow :snow4: :ginger: :shocksn: Lisa~ Hey GF! I think it's awesome you're still not smoking. The fact you are maintaining your weight is a victory in itself too. (remember the metabolism slows down- so you must be doing something right!!!!) Keep coming back, ok? We worry about lost PIC's ;) AngelEyes~ Hehe I really wasn't sure what I was supposed to do to figure out all those points.... but maybe you can help me here. I love Red Square Real Deal bars but being they are made in Canada, I'm wondering if you know this: They are 320 kcal.... is that the same as 320 cal?? If so they are history for me lol... BTW Your tip about marking the points on boxes is sheer genius!!!!! I keep a paper with my most used foods written on it but that is even easier. thanks!!!!:carrot: Val~ Keep it up GF!!! You are doing sooooo great! I think I better get hoppin' with my WATP DVD. I've been watching that crash on TV tonight. Makes me want to board that plane to Denver in a few weeks- NOT. But thank goodness there aren't a lot of injuries  |
Hi ladies....
Valerie...Well? whatever you're doing...KEEP DOING IT!! Awesome job, I thought you just joined curves and then WHAMMO the weight started to drop. You're right.... it must be the added workouts and the cutting calories. :carrot: Iwmonn....Sorry chickie, a calorie is a calorie. I haven't heard of the Red square real deal bars but I'll take your word for it....THEY ARE HEAVEN and to stay away from them!! Curly... I hope you are snug as a bug in a rug. How are you feeling? I got TOM visiting too, not much fun eh? Well I think I'll call it a night. Dh is away, there's nothing good on tv now and the bed is calling me. tc |
GRRRRRRRRRR ok i confess this morning i got on the scale.. so much for waiting for tomorrow and DID NOT like the number!!! but tomorrow is my weigh in day soooooooooo maybe it will change????? crossing fingers...
seems like my losing really good took a nose dive when my menapause symptoms returned.. :( P.s> wow after i wrote this i stopped by the neighborhood store for my bottle of berry flavored water and a friend of my families said"WOW how much weight have u lost??? You look awesome!!!!!" :) Now that will realy make you're day!!!! |
Good morning everyone!!
Curly....sorry you had a disappointing early peek the scale. Hopefully tommorow will give you a better read. YOu know its gotta be TOM!!! Great news on the weightloss compliment. I bet that perked you up!!! Hey...here's a great snack I just discovered. Get a whole wheat (high fibre) tortilla, some ff cream cheese, 1/2 tsp of cocoa powder, and a pkt of splenda. Spread it all around on the tortilla and then add cut up strawberries. Roll it up and you're in HEAVEN!!! OMG!!! This is soooo good, and very healthy too. I'm so clever sometimes!!! I had my workout today, but to tell you the truth....I didn't do my full workout as per Jillians book. Did only half and was itching to get on the treadmill for another run. I am not kidding!!! I think I'm hooked!!! :tread: What are everyone's plans for the weekend? Hows the gift shopping coming? I am almost done, just 2 more to pickup. One for dh and the other for FIL coming for a visit. woohoo. I actually wrapped the out of town ones already and just need to pack them off for the post office. Its scarey, I'm so ahead of the game this year!!! |
Hola PIC's,
;) My coworker is teaching me spanish and I must admit I'm a real slow learner lol... Sooo on with the words!! AngelEyes~ Thanks for the reality lol... can't say I didn't try tho. But these things sound so healthy. Oatmeal, flax & raisin cookies... they come out to like 9 pts each. I was thinking what a great breakfast they would make while I'm at the register in the mornings at work. (Honestly, I know I knew better all along ;) ) But.... c'est la vie (my french is a lil bit rusty too hehehehe) Curly~ :hug:gf I'll keep my fingers crossed for you for tomorrow! Good luck to ya. And dontchya just love when people notice. It makes u feel soooo goood and you just wanna keep on going! alla you other PIC's out there~ Hey  and :grouphug: |
saturday
1st santa slim down weigh in: uggggh up 1 lb :(
i will attribute that to my every 4 month visit from tom... menapause sux! {pouts and goes to change ticker} |
Good morning ladies. I had a terrible day yesterday although I got to change my ticker. Dee-I think you misunderstood me about the snow. I either want no snow or I want 2 feet because anything in between turns out to be a big pain in my butt. We got 8 inches between Thurs night and Friday morning so I had to get up early and shovel and still be to work pretty much on time. Anything less than 2 feet means nothing to my boss. This weekend, I am on consult call so I am seeing patients who are on medical floors in the hospital but need to see a psychiatrist for some reason so the good news is that no one has an appointment time. Turns out I was the first one in even though I live the farthest away from the main hospital--other people were having childcare issues. I did eventually get some help but it took a couple hours to get there.
So far today is pretty quiet. I only have one plus one lady who refused to talk to me yesterday because her husband wasn't there (she's old). Curly-sorry TOM decided to come visit again. It's only temporary. I'll try to check in again if I"m not too busy. |
this time we just got some sleet & rain mix.. just slushy and now with the snow from the other day a BIG wet mess! the water was over my ankles in my back yard lol i guess thats what u get for livin at sea level....
hope your weekend isnt too crazy Petra!! Wow :cheer: u are really movin down that ticker! I have to take a reindeer for a ride and take some pics... lol umm yes i am ok... its a joke at work we kidnapped a co-workers reindeer off her desk... and now we are holding it for ransom... before we give it back at the christmas luncheon... lol |
Alright ladies. Here are the chocolate smoothie recipes for those of you who have chocolate protein powder. I'm including a few I haven't tried personally along with some editorial comments on ones I have tried.
Peppermint Pattie Smoothie--1 1/2 cups Chocolate Carb Countdown Milk, 1/4 cup chocolate whey protein powder, 2 tbsp unsweetened baking cocoa (ghardelli seems to be the best brand if you can get it), 1/4 tsp mint extract, 2 ice cubes, guar or xanthan gum for thickener (optional). Blend, enjoy. Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie--1 1/2 cups Chocolate Carb Countdown Milk, 3 tbsp organic peanut butter, 2 tbsp chocolate whey protein powder, 2 tbsp unsweetened baking cocoa. Blend, enjoy. Almond Joy in a Glass--1 1/2 cups Chocolate Carb Countdown MIlk, 2 tbsp chocolate whey protein powder, 2 tbsp unsweetened baking cocoa, 1/4 tsp almond extract, 1/4 tsp coconut extract. Blend, enjoy. Chocolate-Orange Truffle Smoothie (I happen to like this flavor combination)--1 1/2 cups Chocolate Carb countdown milk, 2 tbsp chocolate whey protein powder, 2 tbsp unsweetened baking cocoa, 1/4 tsp orange sugar-free drink mix powder (crystal light), 2 ice cubes, guar or xanthan gum as thickener (optional). I happen to have sugar free orange flavored davinci syrup which works better than the crystal light. Blend, enjoy. Chocolate Cherry Smoothie--1 1/2 cups Chocolate Carb Countdown Milk, 1/3 cup canned sour cherries in water, drained (available in the baking aisle), 2 tbsp chocolate flavored whey protein powder, 2 tbsp unsweetened baking cocoa, 1 tbsp cherry sugar free syrup, 1 tbsp chocolate sugar free syrup (look in gourmet coffee aisle where they sell the beans for grinding). Blend, enjoy. Sacher Torte Smoothie (I've never tried this but it looks interesting)--1 1/2 cups Chocolate Carb Countdown Milk, 2 apricots, frozen, 1/4 cup chocolate whey protein powder, 2 tbsp unsweetened baking cocoa, 1 tbsp chocolate sugar free syrup. Blend, enjoy. Death By Chocolate--1/2 cup sugar free chocolate ice cream, 1 1/2 cups Chocolate Carb Countdown Milk, 2 tbsp Chocolate whey protein powder, 2 tbsp chocolate sugar free syrup, 2 tbsp unsweetened baking cocoa. Blend, enjoy. Chocolate Coconut Rum Decadence--1 cup Chocolate Carb Countdown Milk, 1/2 cup light coconut milk, 2 tbsp chocolate whey protein powder, 1/4 tsp coconut extract, 1/4 tsp imitation rum extract, 2 ice cubes, guar or xanthan gum as thickener (optional). Blend, enjoy. Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie (the original recipe includes ground flaxseeds. I tried this and it was gross so I'm leaving that part out.) 1 1/2 cups Chocolate carb countdown milk, 1/2 cup unsweetened frozen raspberries, 1/4 cup chocolate whey protein powder, 1 tbsp unsweetened baking cocoa. Blend, enjoy. Every Good Thing (if you like the chocolate orange thing, you will like this)--1 1/2 cups Chocolate carb countdown Milk, 2 tbsp vanilla whey protein powder, 1/2 tsp instant coffee granules, 1/8 tsp orange extract, guar or xanthan gum as thickener (optional). Blend, enjoy. That should help some people with their chocolate cravings. |
Hey PICs, we are back and I am running hard just to stay in the same place. That was not the best time of the year to be going to Iowa! We also went to South Dakota to visit my other sister. It was snowy and below zero so we were reminded once again why we retired to Tennessee.
Now our son from California is visiting so I am cooking up a storm and making all kinds of things that I shouldn't eat. I've got to go get started on our Christmas decorations. We don't even have the tree up yet. I did get the cards out, so that is something. I am trying to hang in there with the diet. I am stuck right now, not losing or gaining. Gotta go because I have stollen rising that I need to get baked. [I plan to give a lot of it away]! zoey |
Hi PIC's!
I hope everyone had a great saturday! I had a couple come to look at my foster cats and they said they're going to take them. A christmas present for their kids. I'm going to be dropping off the girls to them on Christmas Eve :) I love saturdays because I get my cheat meal and once again I had pizza. I figure a whopping 1400 calories for that yummy. Bring me up to about 2200 for the day. Monday is my weigh day so hopefully I'll loose this week. I've been good every other day. Keep up the good work everyone! |
val: i make pizza on the whole wheat pitas just lay them flat and add your sauce and use ff cheese, and your toppings, then bake in the toaster oven .. it is soooooo much better than pizza u can buy out and a lot less calories...
this morning i had whole wheat pancakes, with sugar free syrup, and chopped turkey bacon inside them... yummmy 1 cup whole wheat flour 1 cup buttermilk 2 tbs canola oil 1tsp baking powder 1 egg dash of salt and i add cinnamon u can use this for pancakes or waffles it makes 4 servings p.s. the waffles freeze very well!! then u can just nuke em' lol one day i was craving a pnutbutter and Jelly sandwich so for breakfast i spread some low carb-no sugar pnut butter on y waffle and some sugar free jelly... |
Morning all!! :coffee: The days already drizzly and grey but nothings gonna rain on my parade!!!.....I lost another 2.5 pounds!!!:carrot: :carrot: That puts me at 25 lbs lost!!! WHOOO WEEEEEE!!!!! The difference is incredible, using that fitday site. I must have barely been eating 1000-1100 calories before and not realized and doing the starvation mode. I'm eating soooo much more and quite a good variety of whole grains, fruit and lean meat. I think the added protein (ie..powder) has also helped. THANKS for all the support and motivation!!!! Last night while I was making dinner, I was trying to think of the last time I even had potatoes. Couldn't remember. I'm sure thats also helped. Another added bonus are my workouts.....I'm loving the treadmill these days. Its like a puzzle with all the pieces coming together to complete the picture. :cp: FINALLY ITS CLICKING and I'M NOT MISSING OUT ON ANYTHING!!! :cb:
|
Hey Girls,
Well, I officially have the CRUD again.... and I feel like yuk. I haven't done real well on my food choices, but in my defense- I hae done worse. I broke down and just bawled last nite cuz I just was feeling so lousy and Lee cleaned the kitchen & sent me to take a hot shower. hhhmmmmmmm.... I wonder how many times I could get away with that one lmao. So anyways, I am on the mend. I have 2 1/2 days to get my **** together before my next weighin ;) .....I can do! AngelEyes~ WoooHOOOOO and a huge pat on da back to ya! YOu are doing wonderful. :hat: Best of luck to you GF!!!!! Val~ That's awesome about your foster cats. I don't know how you can do it without getting all attached. lol. 1400 for :jeno:!!! Yikes lol... but ya know, if knowing you get to do that on Saturday keeps you on track the rest of your days then more power to you!!!!!! If it works, don't mess with it, huh? GJ (((((Val)))))) Curly~ you Kitchen Goddess ;)... I found a really good sugar free 6 carb syrup. I even gave our 2 CostcoSize Aunt Jamima syrup away and making Lee eat it too lmao. We love our weekend breakfasts so I'm working towards making them healthier. Petra~ Congrats on the ticker movement! :cp: Yummmy too.. I'm thinking of trying the protein again... but not in water this time lmao. (It was soooo nasty.) Actually I had one in my hand today at work but put it back. Your recipes sound so good it'd be like having ice cream shakes or something... hhmmmmmm... a protein shake with Buffalo meat burger on a rudy's lo carb bun. Kinda sends me back to high school days. Zoey~ Welcome Back again! Hopefully we'll see more of you after the holidays. Sounds like you are a busy lady too! So tomorrow is my Friday. Over my weekend I have to make Salmon Puffs for the Store Christmas party on Saturday. I wanted to make one of the yummy pies of Curlys, but I've been overridden by my coworkers lol. So tonight I'm gonna make a public goal. I will make my puffs this weekend and the stuffing for on Friday. I will eat 3 of the finished product. My Goal is :drill: THREE ONLY! (That includes at the party too). :grouphug: |
Hi Everyone!
I hope you all had a good weekend. I've been feeling unmotivated. I guess it's just the winter blahs. I didn't loose any weight last week and it just seems to be getting harder to keep on plan. I've been more hungry and I wonder if it has something to do with the cold weather. Anyway tomorrow is my weigh day and I'm REALLY hoping for a loss! Angel Eyes congrats on the 25 pound loss! Great job! I love to see everyone here loosing! :cp: Dee I hope you feel better soon! Lee sounds like a nice guy to help you out! I'm really excited about my foster cats. I am going to have to drop them off on christmas eve or christmas day which may be a bummer since I am really attached to them. I saved another dog today. We were driving down a busy street when I saw a yellow lab puppy running. I screamed to my husband to stop the car. I ran out and called the dog right before he was about to be hit. Thank god he came when I called! He had a tag and we were able to find the owner right away. Very lucky dog that we came along! Keep up the great work everyone! We can do this thing together! |
I think we all go thru motivational cycles... lol which seem to be scale induced.. haha for me anyways... The thing that really works for me is to just read all you can about nutrition.. surf peoples success pages and try to get your "steam " back...
go hunt thru the closet and find something that was too small and give it a try... anything to make yourself feel better. if the scale doesnt move .. try taking your measurements... I really do think you're body hits a point where it says "nope no more weight loss" and then thats when you really have to be strong and keep on program and dont give up... :) like your own body is tempting u to give up!! yep thats harder than getting started ... those times when u do everything right but you dont see any loss... Just show it who is the boss and keep chugging along like the little train..... "i know i can" !!! |
4.5 down!
Thanks Curly! I just don't know why I've been feeling so hungry recently. I didn't think I would loose this week since I didn't last week and was discouraged.
But I DID loose this week. 4.5 pounds! I moved my ticker down 4 pounds :) I'm not about to give up and in a big part because of the support I'm getting on this board! I'm so thankful for all of you! |
Congrats Angel-good job on getting it all together. That's a great feeling.
Congrats Val. You are fortunate you can get away with cheating. I am not a fan of that approach as you know. I ended up having a rough weekend and am learning some hard lessons. I can be hard headed sometimes. I have a bad habit of skipping meals when I am on call and I used to be able to get away with it but it is starting to make me crazier and crazier. I was practically a lunatic this morning. I actually couldn't go to work this morning--I was so irritable I almost couldn't stand my own skin. Then when I finally sat down and started eating it was like a fog started to lift from my brain. The funny thing is, I didn't put this together until I started eating and noticed that I was feeling better. I'm one of those people who doesn't tolerate ketosis well which is why I can't do Atkins and I think as I lose weight this has gotten to be a fine line. Miss a meal and I go into ketosis and start to get wierd. I'm going to have to start treating myself like a diabetic I think--must eat and on time. |
Petra thanks! I have been only cheating on one meal a week and it's not always something as bad as pizza!
I can't do atkins either. I was feeling like what you said a brain fog. I need my carbs but I stick to the good ones :) |
Hi girls....
Valerie....great job on the weight loss!! woohoo:carrot: Isn't it great to move that TICKER!!! You are the florence nightengale of dogs and cats!! Thank goodness you saved that puppy! Petra..... I wondered how your on call weekend went. And it did, glad its over!! I'm the same way, I need to eat every 3 hours or so. OR LOOK OUT! How are you enjoying the new couch? Iwmonn.... How are you feeling GF? I hope you are feeling better and Lee is taking good care of you!! Enjoy a nice hot bubble bath, it will help soothe you for a good nights rest. I checked my sugar free smuckers syrup, it has 12 gr carb but 0 sugar. What kind only has 6 carbs? I didn't get to the gym today but got lots and lots of errands/chores done. AND??? I'm now finished all my Christmas shopping!!!:carrot: Mailed off 2 out of 3 gift boxes, and mailed all my Christmas cards!!! woohooo. I will get to the gym tommorow as well as start some 'gift' baking and start to wrap. I love getting it all done early!!! TC |
im shopping on ebay for a stick of dynamite.. to put under my scale.. so i can blow it to smithereens!!!! :)
bad scale!!!! im so tired of being stuck!!! :( BUT i will not let the scale win!!! |
Sorry Curly....you pay such good money for a scale these days, the least thing they could do is to give out great numbers!! ....hehe...what about one of those demolition hammers? you could smash it to smitherines. Didn't you say TOM was visiting? no worries then....next week you'll SHINE!!!
|
OMGoodness ladies, we almost fell off the front page. Where have you all been?
Curly-I'm sorry you are having such a hard time with your scale. I understand menopause really plays a number on your weight loss efforts. Keep the faith. We had an interesting discussion today on the Protein Power board about whether people get whacked when they don't eat because they are hypoglycemic or because they are ketotic. Interesting question because I don't know that there is really any way to tell. Both things happen when you don't eat and both things make people act weird. It has gotten ridiculously cold here. Down in the single digits at night and only in the 20's during the day so all the snow isn't going anywhere. I also forgot to mention that Kobe was sick over the weekend and that added to my stress. Thank goodness for steam cleaners. He seems better now. Where did Teri disappear to again. She was on a roll? Maybe she is busy with finals. |
Hi Everyone!
I'm having a good day here. I had a tutoring appointment. We had a Zone recipie for dinner (curry chicken with peas & red pepper) Yum! I did 3 mile WATP this morning :carrot: Curly I'm sorry you've been stuck to long. That scale has to move soon! Dee I hope you're feeling better! Petra that is interesting about hypoglycemic or ketotic. I waited to long to eat today and started feeling really bad. I know I have to eat every few hours here. I hope everyone else is doing well today! Keep up all the good work! |
Hi PIC's,
Thanks to you who asked, I'm feeling much better... I"m still not breathing 100%, but at least I CAN breathe lol... I drove into SantaRosa today and got a haircut. THis may sound weird but it's the 1st time I've done that alone since I moved here 4 years ago!!!! I can't wait to do it again lmao. It's scary cuz I've gotten so used to no traffic, that even small city traffic is intimidating. I have to drive 60 miles before I even come to a stop light around here! Plus I'm not used to the size of my new vehicle in traffic yet either lol... Anyways, I didn't even eat til like 2:30 this afternoon. I think I'm glad I was alone or I probably would have bitten off someones head ;) Tomorrow is weigh in, and I'm not looking forward to it. I don't think my choices this week have been AWFUL, but they have seen better days. And I haven't exercised at all, and my water has been off. We'll see :dizzy: AngelEyes~ I'm using Spring Tree sugarfree syrup... i was mistaken about the carbs tho... 1/4C has 12 but technically only 1 net carb. it's 30 cal too. And it's yummmmmy ;) Curly~ You can ride it out. You've done it before and you know that durn scale will move in the right direction again. And remember how great it felt!?!?!?! I'm sending all my rootin' vibes your way. :cheer: Petra~ Glad you made it thru that on call weekend again. I hate being on call  Eating regular can be difficult but it really is important. We all skip sometimes tho I guess.... I hope Kobe is doing better. Sick animals are no fun at all. Keep warm and drive safe out there  Val~ You are the WATP feind!!! I still can't get past the 1 mile walk. Not that I get too tired, becuz I really love the longer ones, but my hips hurt so bad half way through I have to stop :( But YOU!!!! You GO Girl! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: Next post I will be way more positive, I promise. No whining, no aches, no pains. :grouphug: |
hiiii it's me again ;)
Hey! Have you guys been craving the eggnog only to look at the cals, carbs and sugars and put it back on the shelf? Even the lite stuff is bad. Well I have been, and feeling very deprived lol. :?: OK, I'm a cooking magazine junkie (and haven't even tried to tackle that one yet lol.) I just got my latest in the mail today and found a recipe for an easy faux eggnog that I have tweaked to make it way lower cal, no sugar! 1/2 gal cold milk (I used 1%) 1 pkg (3.4 oz) instant french van pudding mix (I had SF Vanilla) 1/2c Sugar (Use Splenda ;) ) 2t vanilla 1/2t ground nutmeg 1/2t ground cinnamon Whisk 3/4C milk w/pudding mix until smooth, whisk in Splenda, vanilla, cinnamon & nutmeg. Stir in the remaining milk. Refrigerate until good and cold. :santa: :coolsnow: :elf: YUMMMMMMMM :xcheer: :clause: :newyear: Petra~ It may work with carb countdown, but when I tried to make instant pudding with it, it didn't work real well. If you try it, let me know k? |
~*Happy Birthday Petra *~
happy birthday to u.... happy birthday to u... happy birthday! Happy birthday happy birthday to u!!!!!! :cheer:
|
Thank you Curly.
Dee-I may try the Eggnog. My Dad loves it so I'll let you know. Gotta watch those skipped meals. |
Just popping in quickly to wish the Birthday Girl a very happy day!!! Happy Birthday Petra!! :hb:
