I just got my period so I feel so yucky. Its been an over all bad week. I've been moody and bloated. My son has been in such a bad mood too. I've still been journaling and I've worked out 4 times but I feel so gross. This would normally be when I get off track and binge so I am trying really hard just to let the naturally bloat from TOM pass and stay on track. I'll let you guys know how I do.

How is everyone planning for the weekend. this is ussually my worst time but I have so much to do I do't think I'll be able to fit eating in ;)

Hi Jennie -

Aunt Flo was nice enough to give me a visit too  . I hate that witch she makes life so much harder for us. The week before your a _itch and then you get the cramps and everything else that goes with it for 4-6 days. Not to mention the cravings :dizzy: .

Oh Well I still stuck with my plan. Eating healthy and exercising :D .

Hey my partners ! Hope everyone is having a great day. Mine was fine until this evening...then the most embarrassing thing happened.

My husband and I often go out to dinner on a Friday or Saturday night to the same restaurant. One of the waitresses, who we haven't seen for awhile, came up to our table and said to me "is it my imagination or have you put on quite a bit of weight in the last month". So I laugh it off, all the while thinking man this ladies has balls to be saying something like that to a customer. Then she proceeds to ask how long before the baby arrives.. for some reason she thinks I am pregnant.. which I am not. How embarrassing :o ... and what can you do but laugh it off while she is standing there; however, afterwards I felt like all eyes were on me and I wanted to crawl under a rock.

I don't think I will be going back to that restaurant for a while..

Anyhooo..

Deerod, thanks for keeping this group going. I think it will be great support for all of us. :)

Jeannie and Lisa ~ Well done with keeping on plan!! Don't cave into the cravings :dizzy:

Well I think that's a wrap for me. I am going to crawl into bed with my book. Take care and chat soon.

diet (currently on or planning to start): DIET MY DR. AND A DIETICIAN HAS ME ON

I started yesterday and I don't feel well, so the combo of the two has me feeling very ill

I did get to see my son's new apt today :smug: which is very nice

Then the girls and I ran to :mcd: but I had a grilled sandwich and a diet drink :D

Now I'm tired :(

momX3 04-30-2005 01:39 PM

Hi Teri - I can beleive that waitress said that to you. People need to think before the talk and that was just rude. To bad you could'nt have thought of an equally rude question for her ;) . Don't worry we are all here for you :D .

Hi Jeannine - WELCOME

Kim - Keep up the good work. A grilled sandwich and diet coke is better then a big mac and regular coke. What is the diet your doctor has put you on?

Talk to you Ladies later

kclay61 04-30-2005 02:28 PM

momx3 - My Dr. and the dietician has me on some kind of 11 day diet - Mainly protien -I'm supposed to eat 4x's a day, but it's hard for me to do so - Tomorrow is my Veggie and Fruit day, no meat and I'm to eat 3x's not 4 - then after the 11th day I can eat anything I want for 3 days - then it's back to my diet for 11 days.

I like it. It's way easier for me to do, than WW, because I had too many choices with WW, with this diet I have it all written out for me :)

Alchina- Of course you are welcome :D . The more the merrier. I am doing curves and trying to only weigh once a month which I have already cheated on. Yesterday I weighed myself on my scale at home and had lost 3 lbs. That's with aunt flo. However I am not counting that. My next weigh is not until the 20th but I'm sure I will be on mine at home before then :^: . I can't help myself  .

jennie934 04-30-2005 04:44 PM

hi LADIES,

angel-eyes 04-30-2005 04:48 PM

Must be something in the water..... I too am just finishing up with TOM...yuck!! Add into that, the fact that my dr. thinks (along with me) that I am starting perimenopause!!! and I'm only 44yo!!!! I am so hot, cold, cranky, tired, not sleepy, moody and DIETING all at the same time!!! LOL

* Clipclop, the same thing happened to me at work one day. I worked at a store and a regular customer who hadn't been in for awhile, said..."congratulations"....hmm, for what I said?....the baby!! Like you, I said oh no!!...haha, but on the inside I was dying. Good thing the store wasn't busy and she was alone. I think I went home and put the outfit I was wearing right into the goodwill box.

Hope everyone has a great OP weekend. My weighin's are Monday, so I have to be good. tc

oh ClipClop.. I'm sooo sorry.. I know how bad that sucks.. a couple of years ago.. my husband and I went to eat and I ran into the parents of an old friend of mine from high school.. she ran up to me and rubbed my belly and said.. Oh my GOD!!.. when are you due?? and I was like whoa... !! I'm not pregnant.. and to make things even worse, she then proceeded to ask me "are you sure?".. you think at that moment in time I would've put myself on a diet,, but noooooo.. not me.. I got the EXTRA big plate that day.. :dizzy: maybe next time if you see that waitress, you can tell her that her sex change is almost completely un-noticable.. (ha ha ha.. evil wicked laughter)

Louie 05-01-2005 10:56 AM

GDay all my PICs !!

Thanks for your support over my restaurant episode. I can usually wing out some good one liners; however, like angel-eyes said as much as you are in shock that someone said that you are dying inside.

Oh well that was definately the final straw, so now the serious watching what I eat starts .... so maybe in some weird way it was good that it happened :?: (although I wouldn't wish that feeling on anyone).

Welcome to everyone who has joined us over the past few days and good luck to all of you on your weigh-ins. :D

DEEROD ~ 8 lbs.. you go girl !! That must feel great and I know you have worked your tail off for it.. you deserve it ! :encore:

ALCHINA ~ I know that feeling of walking into a room of people that haven't seen you since you lost a lot of weight. All eyes will be on you.. enjoy the feeling ! Congrats on your 60 lbs !! :smug:

Well, I guess I should get the day started. I am on holidays this week, so trying to get all my housework done yesterday/today so that I can enjoy the week.

Take care and TTYS.

To my sisters in crime

I've read your posts and believe I've found my forum home. Here are some details about me:

name: Michelle
location: Houston
age: 63
sex: female
highest weight: 258
current weight (last weigh in): 252
goal weight: 125
current clothing size: 1X
goal: to be healthier by 65
inspiration: I read a book called “The Gift of a Year” where one is to determine the long lost dream and give oneself a year to devote to this dream. Over my adult lifetime, I've averaged putting on 5 pounds a year and never trying seriously to lose it. I am happy with how I look, but I want to have better health. After pondering, I decided to treat myself to the gift of about 1 ˝ years to get in good health by eating correctly and exercising and getting my blood sugar in a healthy range. Now when I concentrate on what I’ve always known I should do, it is not a deprivation, but a gift to myself.

Hello all PIC!! I've been doing great on the food. even with all the trash food in the house. One of our stores had triple coupons and I got the kids alot of stuff for the summer. Spent $40 and saved $70/ Then went to another store yesterday to get my food, spent $70 and saved $60! So on budget I've done great. :p But ME feeling like yuk! My neck hurts and my left arm is tiglling ( I was in accident 6months ago and still have problems, Thank goodness it was not my fault!) But I'm sore!
On the weight I just wish I felt like I has loss some. My DH says he can tell and we can do things like we could before kids!! ;)
This next week is going to be hard one. I have a  week. Normally MWF I go to the Y from 8:30-10am but MF I'm watching a friends little boy. And my son is a momma's boy and will not stay in the nursery so my dad watches him but I can not ask him to watch one more. and on Wed my oldest has a field trip so we are going to the Zoo!!!! So it looks like I will be going to the Y at night! Which is when all the little people go :^:. Not sure where I'm going with this post :dunno: just felt like I needed to vent alittle! Thanks for being here!:thanks:

kclay61 05-01-2005 02:56 PM

Good Afternoon everyone - I am being SO lazy today - I didn't get out of bed until 1:30, but, then again, I didn't go to bed until 4:30 - I might have to get DH later on today, but that's not a for sure - he might just drive the company truck home - I need to get some groceries, but can't until DH gets home, so....................

Congrats to all the "loosers" in the group. I weigh in tomorrow *gulp* I think I did well tho, so I'm keeping that in mind.

Today is my fruit and veggie day, but I have no fruit, yet, so veggies are first on the menu. Hmmmm, green beans, I think that is all I have - dang I need some groceries.

Have a great Sunday

momX3 05-01-2005 03:06 PM

howdy my "PIC" princesses... today has been going good.. I had my scheduled cheat day yesterday, and I'm back on track today.. I actually stayed under 20 grams of fat, and under 1300 calories.. which is way too low.. but I find it funny that I managed to get those totals without trying so hard and we went out to KFC for dinner.. my legs are soooo sore, I guess from the days of walking and excercise.. and I only had like 3 hours of sleep last night because we had company... but I still managed to work out and go walking.. and you know what? Richard Simmons kicked my a$$..... I *assumed* that these tapes would be easy but good for you.. uh.. no.. he is a dancing queen/dancing fool.. and I sweated my butt off.. my legs and thighs are soooo sore.. but I still managed to go for a walk... ladies.. I swear I am going to do it this time.. thank you for being here for me... and I hope you all have a wonderful day because you are all wonderful people..

ps.. Welcome to all you newbies.. cant wait to hear more about you.. & feel free to vent anytime.. some of us might not know what to say, but we can all listen and take to heart..

jennie934 05-02-2005 09:48 AM

Hi folks,
Well, I had my WI, down .8. I'll take it, at least it not a gain. plus it was TOM. This week will be a good one.
I had quite a hectic weekend, Friday started off bad, after work, my son was to have a base ball practice and he threw a fit so we didn't go. It was all because he didn't like how his baseball pants fit. I had left a lot of stuff in the car thinking we would be out of the house fast and my car got broken into. ahhh....then saturday was OK but busy, no time for excersise, sunday was my moms b-day and my son again had a temper tantrum he cheered up in time for baseball and we got to his game but I ended up eating there because I was bored/stressed, not sure, the hotdogs just smelled so good. I didn't eat a lot but enough to make me feel bad. I still journaled it all including my moms birthday dinner. So I used up most of my flex points for the week. Today is a new day and a new week so I am goiong to pretend it didn't happen, take a deep breath, and move on.

Deerod, great loss, how long has it been? Maybe I should pitch my scale for a month, I'm totally addicted.

Alchina, was everyone at the shower oogling over your lose? I can't wait until I have lost that much weight.

Clipclop, how is WW online? I go to the meetings so i'm just curious. I think its a good thing to spend the money on.

workit, I wish I could stay on budget like that. I went to the store and spent $72 but only save $8. I need to find a triple coupon place.

Hi everyone else, I hope you all have a good week. I gotta run but I am gonna make this week count!

well.. I first weighed myself on april 17th.. but I didnt really put any effort into it.. I still pretty much ate what i wanted and didnt exercize .. but I finally put my heart and soul into it last Monday April 25th.. I wrote down everything I've eaten monday-friday,I leave Saturday blank, because I am NOT going to feel guilty for having a cheat day. Monday-Friday. I counted calories and fat.. trying to stay under 1600 calories and 30 grams of fat... then mon-fri.. I walked about 1 mile per day.. on weds, sunday, and friday.. me and my sister in law did aerobic tapes.. and my CHEAT DAY was Saturday... believe me.. that cheat day really helps me stay motivated.. usually after a couple of days of not eating everything I want, I finally give in and eat it, and I loose track and dont get back on my diet.. I've basically been living on frozen dinners and pre packaged food.. it takes all the guess work out of calculating my totals.. and for other things I use the 2005 calorie king bood.. ( I love that book)... I use to always say that it would be too expensive to by those frozen dinners. but in reality it ends up being cheaper for me.. I spend about $30-$40 a week on food.. compared to per day.. since me and my husband usually went out to dinner and it was never less that $20.. plus at my work.. no one brings there lunch so I would go out for lunch monday - friday and spend between $8-$10 per day.. and it seems to be working for me.. plus just knowing that all you wonderful people are watching me makes me work even harder.. I would feel so guilty posting that I quit because I was too lazy.. so I'm working even harder to get to my goal.. well sorry to keep rambling on.. I'm just really excited that I've been working so hard.. I will check in with ya'll later..

ttfn
