It's raining cats and dogs and there are frequent messages scrolled across the the bottom of the TV warning of flooding. Like you can do something about it.
I guess the reference to Harley means the motorcycles? My son is leaving on the 3oth to attend the Harley convention in Sturgis,SD. He's shipping the bike out and riding back with 5 other guys. He is so excited about this trip. I can't wait for it to be over and he is home safe and sound. I am happy for him cause he is really looking forward to this. His girl friend is being tested for MS and we are praying her symptoms are from something else. We are really scared for her. My girlfriend's husband suffered for 27 years with it and they had a hellish existence.
Anyone have any interesting lo cal recipes they'd like to share. I am getting tired of the same old thing. Seems like week to week I make the same stuff. I'm getting bored.
Have a good day Ladies, catch ya all later. (How's my southern drawl Bonnie? LOL)

Good Morning everybody!! Lots of dog people! bernice I have 3 dogs. A german shepherd, lhasa apso and a chihuahua. ( I think I truly messed up the spelling on all of these) Bonnie, yes! i was out walking this morning. 2 miles and then mowed the lawn and will be heading to work. (ugh) but all of the excercise helpswith lifes stressors right?
It is so good to read that we come from similar places. Bernice, I will be thinking of you and all the concerns you have. MS is a terrible disease. I will pray that the tests are negative. I am afraid that I am not very domestic and can't offer any advice on recipes ,I wish I could have every meal delivered. I am going through some family "issues" as they say here in the South. Just wanted all of you to know that chking in and reading everyones entries actually is helpful! and I appreciate it. Cause, I sure have the urge to go out and buy a 5 lb bag of potatoes and eat every one of them! (must be a cultural thing!) Well......... will chk in tommorrow. Why do we need to start new "thread" ??? Everybody have an excellent day!!

Who said we have to post a new thread? I would think we could continue with this one.
Well, weigh in is tonight one day early for me since I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow. I think I did ok. Hopefully I'll have a loss and then when I get back from the feeding frenzy in Ohio and Door County, I won't have that much of a gain. I can live with a pound!
You wouldn't have appreciated our weather today. About 88 and humid. Tomorrow a cool front is moving in though. Yes, I meant Harley. My husband is going to Sturgis for the first (and probably last time) too. He is riding out though with a buddy and possibly some other guys. He is looking forward to it too. I just couldn't ride that long so, I'm not going on this trip.
Here I am again, the day of (or usually before) weigh in and I get the munchies. What is with that? Must be psychological ! Well, I'll catch ya'll later. See I can be southern too

Thumbs up

Rita, Sorry about your niece. So young-not a good prognosis.
We've been experiencing a stressful situation here as my husband's aunt who is 81 and living alone in Fla and has pancreatic cancer and alzheimers is going down hill. I have round the clock aides with her and it's next to impossible to know what's going on when you are so far away. Because we are responsible for her we are now looking for nursing homes and we must have seen 8 in the last 3 days. I am so conflicted as to make this change in her life and we have been going back and forth with trying to make a decision that's in her best interest that she will accept. We are flying down to Fla with another cousin to try and convince her it's time to come north where all the family is. We can visit frequently as the place we picked is close by and really a beautiful facility. Some of the places we visited were so depressing. If she agrees, her aide will accompany her up.
I have been good with the eating or lack of and I swear I see no difference. That darn scale doesn't budge any which way. Maybe I should invest in a new one.
The grand dogs went home, thank goodness-now I can't wait for the house to be cleaned as their hair is everywhere.
You all mention how hot is is and I swear I am so preoccupied with my husband's aunt I couldn't tell you what the weather has been.
Wish you all a good week-end. Bye the way,had a little trouble figuring out the new reconfiqured website. I'm not good with change. I'll get used to it tho. Bernice
