Hi to all.

Some of you may have seen on FB that I am gonna be a Grandma! (first time) That is my exciting news for now. DS and Fiance's baby is due just before my April Fool birthday. That will be an awesome birthday present! DD is also working on the same project. Would be very fun to have 2 close to the same age.

Computers have been causing problems at work. will be needed to fix!

Home life has been filled with getting the aquariums organized. I have an 80 gallon one set up to hold the fish while we get new flooring next week. What a process! The 80 gallon one had turned into a jungle of nastiness. It's clean and pretty again.

Gradma - thats exciting! That be cool if it ends up being a Bday baby for you.

Went clothes shoping again. Spent $30 at Goodwill, then went to Kohls to buy school clothes for DS (didnt find anything at Goodwill but I dont think he looked very hard) Spent over $100 there for about the same amount of stuff. Then later we ran to Walmart for school supplies & bathroom necessities. DS goes to the Y & we had just stocked up his bag last month. The last time he went someone stole his bag so we had to buy everything all over again. It doesnt seem like that stuff would cost so much but when you check out you wonder what you bought & think I didnt get anything fun! Not too mention the vet bill from taking 3 animals in for shots. Good thing Friday was payday! I picked up parts for the bike now I just need to find time to fix it! I hope the parts I got fix its problem, if not then hopefuly Francis can figure out what the problem is by looking at it when we are replacing the parts.

Hi all! New to the boards and I was so excited to see a biker's board! I got my bike and started riding at the end of April, same time I started the diet! It's been an interesting few months, one of the things I learned is that I CAN tan. I've never done better than a sunburn before, but after riding back and forth to work, I have a nice farmer's tan going on!

My bike is a 08 honda shadow 750. My hubby's is a 99 v-star 650 that his dad gave to him when he got his new boulevard. So, it's a family thing here!

Last weekend I took my longest ride. We rode around the area, 120 miles! It took about 3 hours, but we went thru some pretty curvy roads. DH wants to ride to Ruidoso, which is 380 miles from here, but I'm not sure I'm up for that just yet!

Anyway, sorry for rambling, just excited!!

shelly

Hi Shelly!! welcome congrats on learning to ride! it became an obsession for me a good one. looking forward to getting to know you!

Colleen - congrats! Grandma's are so kewl. you will be a great one.

Reda - oh, how sad and tragic!! really sorry to hear that. But now you can look forward to Sturgis!! would be kewl to hear from you via computer but understand if you decide not to. Can you get internet from your phone?

Dawn - wow that's alot of shopping yeah, good thing it was payday for you. Sux that your son's gym bag was stolen, that stuff does add up especially all at one trip.

here is a link to the TV interview, http://www.wcax.com/story/15197201/b...n-is-coming-up
as you can see I am not on it it was our President. but I think it was a great interview. This morning I was on a local radio interview for the same cause (our Toy Run). Now I'm just sitting aorund doing absolutely nothing...feels nice, but its my one day off and I need to do things!! would have started a workout a while ago but my knee is hurting, stupid knee.

have a great day

Welcome Shelly.

These guys allow me to stay on the board and chat, but I've really done poorly with weight loss. So, I am a bad influence!

Yesterday though I did find my supper from the night before still in the microwave! That doesn't happen very often! I RARELY ever forget to eat!!!

Worse yet, is that I haven't been riding cycle much either! I've been tagging along on the back of DH! I do like that too--it's just not as comfortable. I do like the no stress, no worries, when just riding though.

I'm a native Texan, but have lived in Wisconsin since high school. I prefer the cooler temps here. I still complain plenty of too much heat!!

Hope to hear more from you.

Welcome Shelly!

I started riding last yr. I call it a bikers tan since its not from farming. I find that riding helps curb my appitite cuz I would rather ride then sit at home & eat.

On Monday I will learn how to fix the boot carb & put new chain on the bike. Cant wait havent been able to ride for about 2 weeks now.

I have some shirts that I am getting rid of (med- lg maybe a couple XL) would anyone want to take a look at them ? I can take pictures & post them.

good morning! funny, I haven't been getting email notification of this thread..but I do on threads from 3 months ago, lol.

mmm sweet corn with butter (and lots of salt!!)

dawn, I always like free stuff what are the shirts like? or are they gone already.

I have ridden to work so much lately! it's been great. However today is a car (cage!) day.

OH!!! yesterday, i found evidence that a guest at work let their kid sit on my bike. I found grit on the seat and a smeary kid's handprint on my tank. GRRRR!!!! Shows that money can NOT buy you proper values like respect for other's property. I would love to find their car in the parking lot and do ...things... to it

How much fun do you think Reda has been having

have a great day!!
