Happy Easter All

Great Job Aaron and Dawn on your weight loss

Holly well if it is a bike back this way that you see - I would surely go look at if for you and take pics and send, just let me know. So BTW when do you start your summer job?

Dawn hope Easter Dinner went good and all

We went out of town Friday Morning and got home just in time for Easter Dinner today so I still have a full belly and am really tired - there was quite a bit of beer drinking this weekend

Ok well have a great week this week

Hi Gals. I fell off my wagon and rolled down a big hill. Yesterday was a hard day, lots of candy and sweets, and good food. Today I am up to 243.4 ouch. I hope that I can bring the numbers back down and still lose a few pounds this week. Well today I go back to work for the summer, this is the latest I have ever went back. I did do some binge eating, I was upset, I wanted to go for a ride and my wife said she didnt want to she was tired.

Aaron, I bet you will be right back at your lowest weight soon, one day of holiday eating won't derail you <---an early celebration carrot for you.

welcome back Reda if there was a bike in your area I would surely impose on you thank you! so far the closest one that responded (that bike is still available) is not THAT far away from us, Brockton MA about 3 1/2 hours away.I have to keep in mind that with online ads, bikes might not be still available but the ads are still up.

it is a beutiful day here. I did some raking yesterday, that looks noticeably better. I need to do more today. It is very satisfying to see it done.

I unfortunately did eat those 3 Reese's pb eggs. Well back to being strict today.

While I was looking for bikes online, and wondering how certain bikes would be to ride long distance, my DH did say, the other day, that our touring days are probably over. Another little nugget of unhappiness that he gave me I know, that if we dont continue to ride together, it is not the end of the world but it kinda feels that way. We don't do anything else together. Maybe i need to push him in the direction of a trike?

Reda - forgot to address your question about when I go back to the Club, I think it will be around May 5th or so.

Aaron - yay on already losing some Easter weight!

Okay - are you all ready for this - This morning I put a deposit (through PayPal) on a 2004 VTX1300C, it is south of Boston MA at a dealer. It has under 3000 miles it needs someone to love and ride the **** out of it, and that will be me A friend has offered his truck and himself to drive it, with me, down there to pick it up. I'll pay for the friend's gas of course, and lunch, and maybe bake him 10 dozen cookies

it has Vance & Hines pipes, hypercharger; Kury grips, and the Kury Zombie pegs I had on my other bike and loved

Thanks guys!!

now I'm running into a snag in picking it up. The friend who has offered over and over again to help out in any way, now says that he isn't sure his truck is road worthy. After saying Yes, we could take it. He can have someone look at the truck tomorrow but what if the mechanic says no? I had hoped to pick it up this Friday.

so I put out an appeal to some of our motorcycling friends in the Ma/ct/NH area, that I'd cover gas, pay for lunch, $100 for their time and cookies.

OR dear husband and I could drive there on Saturday and I could ride it back. I just checked Boston area weather and Sat. is to be sunny and a high of 64. I can deal with metro traffic on a bike, IF i am following a lead vehicle and stick lke glue to it!

Holly I wish you luck in finding someone to pick up your bike for you. I have seen lots of friends that say they will help and then just don't show up. I try to make sure that I don't do this to any of my friends. You could look at a map of the city you will be going to and look for back roads or 2 lane roads, to get you out of the bad parts, and the high traffic areas. I just thought of something could you rent a u-haul truck to haul the bike out of the city.

well Aaron we did check that; it would be around $400. We don't have a truck or a vehicle with a hitch, to tow a trailer. Well my son does; he has a Jeep Cherokee, and at first he was all happy to loan his vehicle, now last night HE says that he needs brakes.

I just sent an email to the dealership. Since I've never bought an out of state vehicle before, I asked if I even could ride it home...do they put a temp plate on it? I would have insurance on it...and I asked what they would charge to transport it (I think he said $300 before)

yeah, I really don't know why my friend said Yes right away, then started waffling.

The deal's back on! He's picking me up Friday at 6 am.

oh and the reason he hesitated?? he thought I meant to go like 50 miles one way,...not over 400 round trip...I apologized profusely and said I should not have put him on the spot like that.(but he HAD said, over and over again, anything to help) He said it was fine, he was just a little worried about the truck being 10 years old but he has tools; and I have AAA with alot of towing covered, so we're going ahead!!

I will be SOOOO happy when she is safely in my driveway!!

Love it Holly - I am so suprised that you didn't have DH drive you and then you ride it home If the pickup is only 10 years old it should be just fine to go 400 miles - I am so excited for you - boy do I wish mine would sell so I can start really shopping

Aaron sorry about gain but I do see you have already got most all of it back off and glad to hear that you get to go riding Friday- looking at our weather we will get go riding on Sunday as that is our annual Ft Randall ride it is about 100 miles away one way then we eat lunch then gamble for about an hour then back home

wow Holly May 5th is sneaking up real quick shoot actually like a week away - You will have to work on DH with rides short rides then you can get him alittle further and so on - Hopefully getting around your biking buddies and the weekend rallies will help with that

Well off the computer I go - have a great night

Aaron - congrats yet again!! a new low that is great!

Reda I will be hoping that you have great weather for your ride

we have had one more change of plans (oh lord!) Now it is DH that will be driving...with a truck borrowed from his boss. And it will be Saturday. Again I just will be so glad when she is safely in our driveway. This has been kinda nerve wracking for me, a long-distance purchase. But no fairy godmother was dropping a bike in my lap so I did what I needed to.

I know DH was not thrilled at the thought of the guy driving me, there are sometimes jealous feelings (totally unfounded) towards guys that are just being friends with us. Maybe that's why he felt moved to be involved with this.

Reda - yes I am hoping SO much that his interest will come back!!

I am changing my ticker down one pound it actually showed 155 this morning, down from 157, but I will be cautious and mark it as 156..we know the scale seems to jump UP more than down.

Towns around here have had lots of flooding..villiages closed because of it. People from one house had to evacuate because the river just overflowed too fast. One death I think..very sad...but nothing compared to Alabama's storms overnight! praying for those poor people.

Hi biker Chicks. :c arrot:Well today I am down to 238.6, almost 2 lbs for the week, this is a new low for me, the lowest I have been in the last 10 years, this makes 32 lbs.. I am 18 lbs from my orignal goal, and 8 lbs from my next mini goal set for the 21 of May. Holly I know how your husband feals and thinks about someone else driving you to go get your bike. I would be upset with my wife if she did that, I would rather it was family. We had snow on the ground yesterday and today it is going to be almost 70, so my wife and I are going to go for a ride.
