Aaron, thanks for your input..I think it is a poured concrete foundation, and I will see what the outside looks like.
BIG congrats on your new low!!! 30 lbs lost over the winter is a huge accomplishment. Sorry to hear of the snow.
I'm still searching daily for a bike.

okay, so who wants to kick my husband in the butt ... last night, I said to him that I frankly was losing hope of finding a bike that I wanted. He responded in a surprised manner. I told him I was looking daily on Craig's List; the place in NH; local dealerships; and just searching 'used motorcycles for sale in VT'.
it is a touchy subject, because of course he didn't want to take my bike away from me but that's what happened. And he has distanced himself from the WHOLE deal. I have been the one who has dealt with the insurance company, the two hospitals, the two rescue squads, and the radiology people to set up payment plans. He .. hasn't ... done ... anything.
So do you see that it is a touchy subject?? and what he said last night...was - 'you could get a scooter'.
I think that was a crummy thing to say.
had to get that rant out.

Hi Gals. Well today I am at the same weight. Holly was the scooter comment to get you going as a joke. As a guy we say things before we have a chance to think about what or how we say it. I would let it go just a little, I know how you feel about your old bike and what it meant to you and so does your husband. What I would do or want my wife to do if she wanted to buy a new bike is line up a few bikes in our price range to look at and tell me that she wants to do it on this day at this town or shop. Dont be mean about it just keep on him. I hope you find the bike you want soon.

Good afternoon everyone. I maybe hoping on more now that I have started AWS at work. I have started my 12 hour days. I work 3 days one week & 4 days the next week. In June I start nites which I am not looking forward to.
Since starting my new eating habits the Dr would like me to do I have lost a few lbs. I feel like I am eating all the time. I am to eat breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner & a snack right before bed. When I get to work I have my coffee then shortly after I start eating. I munch pretty much all morning eat my lunch, munch more in the afternoon. Since I work to 7:30pm its almost 8 by the time I get home. The 1st 3 nites I ate dinner with my DH but last nite he wasnt home so I decided not to eat dinner cuz I feel so bloated when I go to bed & dont sleep very well. I drank a glass of milk instead & that did the trick for me not feeling so bloated.
I have to work Sunday so we are celebrating Easter on Saturday instead. I think we will end up with around 22 people here. I went shopping today & spent over $200 for Saturday. I better not screw anything up or Ill be a bit p*ssed.
Last weekend was DS's prom. I borrowed the neighbors camera to take some nice pics. I got alot of nice ones & & deleted the bad ones. These are some of my favorite ones.

very nice pics! and what will you be cooking for that many people?!
I had a big dinner tonight, my first 'cheat' in a couple weeks. Younger son came home to visit and I went all out with 3 different kinds of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, peas, rolls (but not homemade) and dessert. I am full but not horribly so. But I have that stupid, slow, lazy feeling from eating too many simple carbs and too much fat. Back on track tomorrow.

Way to go Aaron!!! I had gained a few lbs since the last time I changed my ticker but I lost that weight plus just a lil more. I am at 134 now. Down 5lbs in 2 weeks. I was at 139 when I went into the Dr. I'm surprised that it's that much loss since I have been munching pretty much all day at work. I'm not going to complain about it thow, just hope it keeps going for a bit.
I was cleaning & putting clothes away today when I saw a pair of old jeans that I have hidden away. There my skinny jeans (size 5) from 6-8 yrs ago. I bought them the last time I lost a bunch of weight but I could only wear them for a few months before I gained. Usually when I try them on I end up breaking a sweat to get them on & if I was able to get them closed it hurt. I was able to get them up & closed with no problem today! They are a bit snug yet but I could wear them if I wanted.
I am making ham, prime rib, pea salad, Cole slaw, pickled eggs & beats, yam & apples, & baked corn. My one neighbor is taking care of deserts my other neighbor is making rolls & a broccoli salad. The 3 guys from work called today asking what they should bring ( that they were not coming empty handed) so I told them bring beer, ice & the one guy wanted to make develed eggs. These 3 guys work in my group & none of their family is here in IA. One wife is in TX, another wife is in CA & the others gird fiend is in CA.

Aaron - CONGRATS!! You must feel great!
Dawn, wow that's a big menu. sounds so good. Hope everything turns out well and to your liking and congrats to you being down 5 pounds in 2 weeks, that's alot for someone who isn't very big at all, in fact you're kinda tiny
Hi Reda, Colleen and Tammy!
well I am so disappointed .. I was emailing with someone who was selling a bike SO close to us (an hour away) and in my price range, and I stupidly got my hopes up and told everyone at our meeting last night..well well i got home i found an email that said simply 'i no longer have the bike sorry'. I had asked to come see it right away, but she delayed it.
after hearing this, I binged for the first time out of anger, in years. It's good that there isn't much in this house to binge on. I had a piece of meatloaf, about 3/4 cup of trail mix that did have some chocolate pieces in it but was mostly stupid sunflower seeds) about an ounce of corn chips (all that was left at the bottom of the bag or I would have had more)
this is insane that I can't find a used bike I like. I admit I'm a lttle picky but there are reasons why I am.
and it's snowing here. Not just flurries, snow that is sticking and accumulating.

thanks, Aaron. and hey, change your ticker!
my (half)brother invited us to his place (about 1 1/2 hours away) for Easter dinner tomorrow. Our older son works 8am to 4 pm; younger son works from 3 pm to 11 or midnight; husband actually has to go in to his work sometime tomorrow; so I should have accepted and just gone by myself; BUT I still don't enjoy being with my sister; and I don't know, just feel blah. So I emailed with my apologies. Hope they aren't mad at me.

Hi Gals Happy Easter. Well today I am still at 241.2 up just a little from weigh in day. I did have Easter dinner yesterday so I am happy for the no gain. I have noticed that my weight will stay the same for 4 or 5 days then drop 2-3 pounds in 2 days. Some weeks I will lose 3.8 lbs and the next I will only lose 1 lb. Well I have one more party to go to at 10:00 A.M. and then I think my wife and I will go on a ride.

good morning bikers and Happy Easter I only bought a few chocolate items for the husband and 2 sons; there are 3 reese's pb eggs left but I probably can resist them. We made a nice early breakfast, and now I have the house to myself for a while.
I just spent over an hour looking at used bikes on cycletrader; and I sent about 5 or 6 inquiry emails. I know it must be accepted practice to buy a bike long-distance and have it shipped; it is just such a big leap for me. Lots of VTX's with all kinds of nice aftermarket items already, and in my price range, even with the shipping. I think I just need to get off the pot. But I'm so cautious because it is a few thousand dollars of our money.
Aaron, congrats on no gain! and I have heard of folks losing the way you have been, multiple pounds one week, not so many the next, and so on.
Hi to dawn, Reda, Tammy, Colleen!
