That would be great if you could go on a winter vacation- all-inclusive is the way to go

Maybe you should look at going the same time we are going - Jan 25-31 we are staying at the Golden Parnassus in Cancun (adult only resort )
January is great time it is before springbreakers but well into the winter months already....... Cancun is party central but only if you include yourself in the nightlife it is usual optional at all resorts to go downtown at night with staff entertainment- but nothing like laying on the beach catching some rays and being waited on (i know it sounds shallow but it sure is nice)

glad to hear summer job is still hanging on when is your last day there?

TGIF - even thought DS is racing all weekend at a memorial race in IA and we are suppose to be a high of 55 - freeze my tush off at night I am sure-oh well won't miss it though

Have a great weekend all

Reda, best wishes to DS's racing this weekend!

I am not getting my hopes up for flying anywhere for a vacation. I am sure there is some issue with my DH. He says he doesn't want to fly because he refuses to be searched by the TSA but I think he might be afraid of seat size. He used to fly, no problem, for business trips.

The summer job ends in exactly one month, Oct. 16. I'm trying to embrace each day and appreciate it but I think i'm a little burned out, I don't remember my last day off (at least a week ago) and today I got mad at the staff because they thanked the lunch chef for the lunch but didn't say anything about the huge assortment of cookies and cake I always give them. Sure sounds like I'm crabby I came home and slept like a dead person for 2 hours

We have a real good chance of frost tonight. I used to scramble to cover everything, but I'm feeling so blah, I might not even try. My beautiful planters!! all summer I've enjoyed them.

I had to adjust my ticker UP . Well thats what happens when you don't exercise regularly and don't count calories, right??

maybe I'll be in a better mood soon

In less then a month we are going on Vacation. We are going to Cancun to an all inclusive place. It is DS last year home & I wanted to do something special for his Senior yr of high school as well so were going to Mexico. We picked all inclusive with night clubs for him to go to if he chooses to. Hopefuly we wont spend too much then. I know DS want to go parasaling & a few other things but we'd have that no matter what. He's saving his money to help pay for some of the stuff he wants to do. It our 1st real family vacation in several years so were all looking forward to it.

Dawn where are you staying in Cancun- we have been there several times
Your son would probably love to go out with the entertainment staff usually most resort take guests (us) out after the shows for $40 per person - each night will be a different club and a few places we have stayed would have a night that they would go to a couple different places, last year we went on the catamaran excursion which included parasailing, snorkling and going to the Isles of Mejures so we got several things for the price of 1

Anyways enought of that except for Holly I hope you make it someewhere warm this winter- as much as we fly we have never been searched and there are some big guys that fly but maybe going first class would be idea those seats are roomy and first class well its all you can drink........ good luck

Hello to Collen, Aaron, and Tammy

Oh ya DS got 6th tonight so he will be racing tomorrow night as well it is frickin cold though

Dawn congrats on your upcoming trip to Cancun! that is such a nice gift for your son ...and you

congrats to YOUR son Reda! Do you have those 'hot seats' to sit on hey, great idea about first class...I'll be sure to mention that to DH if the subject comes up. However he could even talk me into trailering our bikes through snow and ice until we get to warmer states...then just taking off. Or riding the keys of Florida!!!

I had a GREAT day off today. My first day off in 13 days I did cut the grass yesterday after work, so I wouldn't have to do it today. Didnt linger in bed too long this morning, and I worked out FOR AN HOUR, a Cathe Friedrich dvd I haven't done in so long. I adapted it and no knee pain!! then I did about 5 loads of laundry, hung stuff outside, took the recycling out, did a little grocery shopping, then took off on my bike!! just a couple hours but it was great. Bought myself 5 tops from the consignment shop (she got destroyed by Irene but is back in business after just 3 weeks! bless her) and a pair of earrings for $10 which are beautiful dangly crystals..and makeup. It was a 'me' afternoon

Holly hope your day off was great and hope your next day off is not 13 days away

Glad to hear your consignment shop is opened back up and that you found some great deals while there

Well I haven't made a decision on the C Store yet - but they are putting it up for auction so I do believe I will wait and go to auction and then I guess we will find out that day if I buy it or not......... Oct 3rd 930am

Hello Dawn, Colleen, Aaron all is going well for you

good morning! its been a week since I posted. I have today off so it was NOT 13 days in between It is a beautiful clear cool morning and I do need to work out first then I will vacuum, then it will hopefully be in the high 60's and I will get on my bike and there is a certain very kewl crystal - sparkled bandanna I will wear

I have slacked so badly this summer wiht exercise. I can't feel much of my ab muscles anymore!! and legs are soft, ew. I am hoping my resolve and dedication will return someday. I have only worked out for about 2 times a week ... compared to my 5 or 6 times a week before!!

hope everyone is good!!!

Hi Gals. Well things are better in my world. I am back on my diet and am back down to 236 lbs. My weight went up to 243 after my dad died. I have been working lots of hours. I did take a few rides on the last few weekends, and went camping a few times. I hope you gals have a good weekend and I will talk more when I have time.

hey bikers We have had 5 days in a row with all sunshine!! and record-breaking 80 degrees on Sunday. And I was able to ride to work this morning without chaps or handwarmers The foliage colors here are finally at their peak, it is gorgeous and with the fantastic weather, just unreal. Usually its cold and rainy during peak foliage, lol.

It was chilly last week and we rode to our motorcycle meeting, it was 42 degrees then and we got cheered when we arrived though I was a little envious of their warm cars when it was time to go, but we live only 15 minutes away from that meeting place so it was okay...except for trying to see the horrible cracks in the road, in the dark! they grab your front tire and try to take you down...bad stuff. Gotta be so careful!

This is my last week at the job I love. I'm trying to keep cheerful. I'm not cheerful about my tummy though...where did my nice tummy go because I have slacked on working out all summer, my tum is soft. and I hate my upper arms again!! just gotta MAKE myself workout regularly again and stop eating whatever I want!

Hey to everyone and hope you're all good.
