Morning all.
Shad - Crossing my fingers that the system holds up for you!
Looking forward to seeing C. Gorge pics.
Ceejay - Hope you're enjoying your new furniture. Have you napped on the new futon yet?
Stay cool!
Happy - Sorry there's not enough parsley to host all the caterpillars. Maybe instead you need to plant flowers that are nectar sources to attract grown butterflies. We have phlox, and some milkweed came along the past few years, which they like. But the latter got out of hand, so I pulled all that out a few weeks ago.
Annie - Glad your dad is okay to be on his own now. Late nights take it out of me, let alone having to be productive the day after.
Mel - Glad it's quiet over there for the moment. I don't think the TJ's near me has prepared meals, just the frozen. They sound good!
I'll have to check on that next time I'm there.
Michelle - Hope you had a nice weekend.
Well, the weekend went all too fast. Friday evening we drove out to the wake, ate dinner first - we had Chili's too, Happy. Bf and I both had salads, which I'm sure are no calorie bargain either - mine had quesadilla wedges with it, and I ate two of those instead of taking them all home like I've done in the past.
The wake/memorial was sad, of course, but it was also heartwarming seeing that T. had close relationships w/ his daughter, her dh & their children. I recall years back, it wasn't an easy time between father and daughter.
Back at home afterwards, we were relaxing on the sofa until we realized the skeeters had found a way in the house. We kept killing them, and I finally figured it was probably through a screen the dog had gouged a hole in. I'd done a makeshift scotch tape repair in the spring, but the tape had probably fallen off. Once we closed that window, the influx stopped. I stayed up way too late.
Saturday was my hair appointment, and then party prep. It was a nice party. BF went full force against the mosquitos - tiki torches, citronella candles, Thermacell & Off insect repelling thingies, and spray fogger. And we had bug spray for people to apply. Between that and an occasional breeze, it worked well. It was a nice time, but another very late night.
I had a lazy day yesterday. It's now back to the heat and humidity, and the AC is back on, of course. We had a lot of rain early this morning. Ugh, feels like a jungle out there. I'm still not caught up with my sleep, so I'd like to crawl under my desk and take a nap.
Okay, better stop rambling and get something done. Have a good day everyone.
