Good morning all,

Well I am learning that you need to look at menus and calorie content BEFORE you go to the restaurant. DH likes these Texas chili fries. I only ate about 1/3 of a half order but what calorie bombs! Not anymore. I do like the grilled corn soup (also a calorie bomb but no where near as bad as the fries) so I will eat a skinny dinner just to leave enough for the soup

DH and I had a nice evening to ourselves. Good conversation, we listened to music and I gave him a massage. I must have transferred his pain to me because I went to sleep with the exact neck pain that he was complaining about

I hear it's supposed to get hot again today. Men were working on the house next door but I think they are all done so we have the pool to ourselves again I have laundry to do, want to wash my dirty car and I need to figure out something light and cheap for lunch and dinner this week. I will again throw out a package of chicken that spoiled before I got a chance to make it. Bad me!

Mel if you have "detailed" your chairs I guess I can find the motivation to clean my car. We'll have the best looking rides in the house

Ceejay - that sounds like a nice set up - TV room or guest room - very practical. And clean lines too.

Looks like we will lose all of our butterfly caterpillars. We would need a garden plot full of dill and parsley to sustain them. Some of them are as big as my little finger - should be climbing the sticks to pupate but are stubbornly clinging to what little is left of the parsley. I made DH go and get some organic parsley yesterday but it's the cut stuff - a few nibbled on it but I think especially the big guys that they like the potted stuff so they can hang on to the stalks while eating. Momma butterflies just laid too many eggs.

Well no swimming if I don't get off my duff and get something done so have a happy Sunday peeps.

Afternoon all,
Short note. I am now out in a place called Kincora - around 60km south of Roma. It is very isolated. If anyone looks it it, it is sort of north-east of Surat and south of Roma and is probably not marked on any map. At least I haven't blown the system to pieces like I did at Yellowbank - I am getting paranoid about this very fragile system.

Yesterday I spent 5 hours at Carnarvon. Didn't get to see it all again but didn't really expect to, and one man said to me as I was on my way back that I really shouldn't run the gorge. There is too much to see. I didn't think I was going that fast! Anyhow I got some good pictures. As time goes on I will put some of them up to show you.

That's about all I can write for now. I'm not sure how well this internet connection is holding up. I'd better post before I get shunted off.

Good morning everyone. Monday sure came around quickly.

I'm tired. Was waiting for the last load of wrinkable laundry to dry so I could fold before I went to sleep and it took a very long time as the humidity was thick as mollases last night. I wanted to go for a swim but after I got home from shopping and cleaned up the kitchen it was late and I was just too tired. So this morning will roll out slow.

I am back to clean eating. Last week I tracked points just to get in the habit again and yes Mel - you can eat too much of the right stuff resulting in a calorie overload. And it doesn't have to be chili cheese fries. Sometimes an innocent sounding, healthy breakfast can add up the points/ calories too. So this week my objective is to stay within my points. Last night I had a packaged pasta meal that sounded good. It was Mediteranean - pasta, shrimp, asparagus, tomatoes and I tossed in some mushrooms. It was low in WW points - 4 so it was not a calorie bomb but didn't taste that good. And my tummy complained all night. Back to fresh for me.

Mel I hope you can get everything done and sneak out before the big hassles roll in the door Sounds like you are eating clean too. ** reaches out to shake hands *** Thanks for offering me some of your pains in the neck but I think I will pass at the moment

Shad - was good to talk to you on FB yesterday even if only for 2 minutes. I hope the system at work can take the strain of someone who needs to get her job done. I can't imagine being out in such a faraway place - like going to work in the middle of the desert

I need to get out of her and get myself to work. I'll step aside and let the sneaker inners in. Will be back at lunch time to the chicks.

Happy Monday.....

Eating cucumber and tomatos out of the garden with cottage cheese for breaky...YUM...Made about 10 containers of salsa last night after I got home from work at CVS at 7 pm. Had to, tomatos were going bad. Now I am ready for margaritaville...lol

Weekend was long, worked 8 hrs both days at CVS. I did get to go to DDs BoyFs, semi-pro football game Saturday night. Wasn't much of a game. They won 59 to zip. Then went back to DD&BFs house and partied til 2 am. Stayed all night and went home at 5 am, got up for work and was on time at CVS at 11. I AM TOO OLD for that crap. Yikes.

MELLIE...glad things slowed down for the weekend. We, too, are heading for the hot temps and humidity, supposed to arrive today.

Shaddie...happy traviling. Be safe.

Happy....it won't take long for the pool water to heat back up with these hot temps. Evening baths are near.

Chelle...hope your back is feeling better by now.

Ceejay...have a great day at work, if possible.

Laura...How is your day going?

Not much else here....

Love and hugs

Morning all.

Shad - Crossing my fingers that the system holds up for you! Looking forward to seeing C. Gorge pics.

Ceejay - Hope you're enjoying your new furniture. Have you napped on the new futon yet? Stay cool!

Happy - Sorry there's not enough parsley to host all the caterpillars. Maybe instead you need to plant flowers that are nectar sources to attract grown butterflies. We have phlox, and some milkweed came along the past few years, which they like. But the latter got out of hand, so I pulled all that out a few weeks ago.

Annie - Glad your dad is okay to be on his own now. Late nights take it out of me, let alone having to be productive the day after.

Mel - Glad it's quiet over there for the moment. I don't think the TJ's near me has prepared meals, just the frozen. They sound good! I'll have to check on that next time I'm there.

Michelle - Hope you had a nice weekend.

Well, the weekend went all too fast. Friday evening we drove out to the wake, ate dinner first - we had Chili's too, Happy. Bf and I both had salads, which I'm sure are no calorie bargain either - mine had quesadilla wedges with it, and I ate two of those instead of taking them all home like I've done in the past.

The wake/memorial was sad, of course, but it was also heartwarming seeing that T. had close relationships w/ his daughter, her dh & their children. I recall years back, it wasn't an easy time between father and daughter.

Back at home afterwards, we were relaxing on the sofa until we realized the skeeters had found a way in the house. We kept killing them, and I finally figured it was probably through a screen the dog had gouged a hole in. I'd done a makeshift scotch tape repair in the spring, but the tape had probably fallen off. Once we closed that window, the influx stopped. I stayed up way too late.

Saturday was my hair appointment, and then party prep. It was a nice party. BF went full force against the mosquitos - tiki torches, citronella candles, Thermacell & Off insect repelling thingies, and spray fogger. And we had bug spray for people to apply. Between that and an occasional breeze, it worked well. It was a nice time, but another very late night.

I had a lazy day yesterday. It's now back to the heat and humidity, and the AC is back on, of course. We had a lot of rain early this morning. Ugh, feels like a jungle out there. I'm still not caught up with my sleep, so I'd like to crawl under my desk and take a nap.

Okay, better stop rambling and get something done. Have a good day everyone.

Mellie....stupid x's what can we do about them. It is sad that the real people getting hurt in their nastyiness is the kiddies. People like Richie's x never realize any of that because like my x, she is self centered and very selfish. BEEEAAAACCCHHHH

Happy Tuesday everyone -

I had a nice weekend when I wasn't working. On Saturday, we went to the fair, and DMIL and I shared a wheelchair...so I didn't do much walking at all. Plus, when I was pushing her in the chair it supported my weight...so it was better for my back than just walking without the chair. I don't think the shot helped. I'm still in pain...and now I'm getting numbness/tingliness (alternating with pain) down my leg. I haven't Zumba'ed in weeks and I really miss it. DH wants me to get another opinion on what the best next steps are. So I'm wondering if I should:

1. Should I go back to my current pain doc (the guy that's given me shots the last couple years) and see what he thinks the next step is?

2. Should I try a different pain doc? Either find one via the insurance or go back to the orthopedist I saw and get another recommendation from him?

3. Should I try a different orthopedist?

4. Should I try chiropractic? From what I've read online, chiropractic isn't usually helpful for what I have.

I REALLY want to get back to moving and losing. My eating has not been horrible, but not stellar either...as the pain and "feebleness" have made me depressed and in search of comfort foods. I've been avoiding massive quantities of ice cream, candy and baked goods....heading more for the mac and cheese and pizza type variety of comfort. My veggies are starting to ripen...so I'll be able to eat some freshly picked tomatoes and cukes...yummy!

Work is getting a little better....it's been a rough several weeks, and I'm glad that the projects are just in the final tweaking stages.

Annie - Your new niece is beautiful...and Little Olivia is absolutely adorable!! How is your dad? Are you still staying with him from time to time? As for the late nights followed by early mornings, I can't do those either.

Happy - Sorry to hear about your caterpillars. We're having some really muggy weather here too...though I'm sure not as bad as your having. Good for you for getting back to clean eating. That's something I REALLY need to do especially since I'm not exercising much.

Melody - That's a bummer about Richie's son not being able to come visit. Pain in the **** Ex's!

Shad - Glad you had a nice time at Carnarvon. With places so big, it's tough to take it all in in a short time. Hope the systems work(ed) better for you in Kincora.

Laura - Is it just up here or are the skeeters really bad where you are too this year? Everyone up here is complaining about how many more skeeters there are than usual. It feels like you lose pint or two of blood just going from the house to the car. I cut the grass tonight (using the riding mower)...I will definitely have to apply a heavy layer of repellent. Glad you had a nice party!!

Ceejay - I hope work is going well and you're not overdoing it. Enjoy your new furniture. How is your A/C working?

Better get back to finishing up some projects.

Love and big hugs to all,

Good morning girls,

Quickie for me. Michelle considering all DH went through it seems like you have disc and nerve problems. A chiropractor will do nothing for that. You need to find yourself a very good orthopedic surgeon because if the pain is getting progressively worse surgery is in your near future. And I don't say that lightly so don't get me wrong. If physical therapy, rest and meds don't help you need to do something before you suffer permanent nerve damage. So start researching things girlfriend. I'm sorry - it's hard when things break down

Congrats on the new nieces Annie - I'm sure Madeline will be as cute as Olivia.

I'll be back later...
