Just a quickie.

I weighed in at 150 this morning!!!! I'm so happy! Of course, I didn't eat last night although I had plenty of calories yesterday. It was my goal for this week...I have mini goals for the rest of the month since I'm going on vacation in the last week.

Did 3 miles at 32:38 this morning. Not great, but respectable.

Dont' have plans for the holiday yet. I forced myself to sleep in this mornign as I have been getting 5 hours of sleep a night lately.

More later!

Love,

Chris

Default HAPPY 4TH of JULY

Wow!!!! Isn't it amazing how we spend so much time in preparation for a holiday, and the day seems to just fly by before you know it???? I won't get into the juicy details of our celebration today in this post, but will tomorrow. I was sitting here reading up on the posts and just wanted to respond to a few I have read.........

Lara.... Your Tuesday tip was great. I am going to try and print it - though my printer isn't the greatest

Sol..... You seem to do the same thing I do to myself. Don't beat yourself up so much for the days you may have problems with meeting the "set" goals you have for yourself. The longer you tend to dwell on those off-goal incidents, it only seems to hinder moving forward and getting back to how you reach the goals you are striving for. I was also tickled by your sweet response to my post about the TM speed I bet you and the Meister ate at The Shell House. Was it right off of I-95????? I kinda like those type places with the hole in the middle of the table. There's another neat place like that on the way to Tybee Island(Savannah Beach). It's called the Crab Shack. If you are ever in Savannah again, you should try it!!!!! We didn't have any luck crabbing. Thank goodness we were able to buy some shrimp for $5.00 a pound!!!!!!!! That's a STEAL these days. Just a month or so back they were $8-$10 a pound!!!!! I really got a chuckle about you and Vince anxiously awaiting the ripening of your babies!!!!! Anybody can give it a try to do a garden IF I can!!!!!! It's mainly a trial and error situation for me. My squash and zucchini plants are sucking wind. So I will try to learn from this years attempt and maybe next year I will do better. Majority of it comes from Mother Nature and how she makes out the rain schedule. Let me know how the rest of your babies ripen.

BOB!!!!!!!! - UMMMMMM....what IS that in the crack of that cute angel??? Girlfriend, when you get situated in the middle of the seat on the wagon, put on the seatbelt. I had seatbelts installed while you were struggling, so you and the rest of us hopefully won't fall off the wagon anymore!!!!!!!

Kim...... Yes ma'am, I have a cordial relationship with my TM. I should give it more attention. I got it for Valentine's day. I thought I told the board???? I may not talk about it alot. I haven't been as consistent with it as I should. One week I will get in 3 days, then another week only 2 I was very committed when I first started using it... 4 or 5 days a week. Oh well. And, YESSSSS, I have butterfly bushes. Funny thing, it seems the butterflies haven't noticed them muchj. Was I supposed to send out invitations??? Here , down in the ol' south tomatoes are generally planted the end of March on. I was late this year with mine. Planted them after Easter, I believe. Hey, I have sent you some email jokes. Have you gotten them???

Deb.....YOU ROCKKKKKKKK, Ms 127. I am so happy, happy, happy for you. You continue to be all of our inspirations....RIGHT GIRLS!!!!!! I will call you in the next day or so!!!!!

Well, at this rate I better end this novellette. I will try to get caught up on the rest of the posts. Geeeesh, just one day away and board busts loose!!!!!!! Hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th. Get all rested up ladies. We got SB work to do!!!!!

Well, I had a very lazy day! Read, computered, read, kids did the BBQ thing all I had to do was eat it. Like all men, I think, my ds is a whiz w/ the grill. He did ribs and lambchops. While grilling, he also threw on some sausages for me to have during the week, will just have to zap one for lunch. I was very op today! Hooray for me!

I watched the Pops 4th of July celebration and taped the one from D.C. That audience and performers had sticktoitiveness as it
was pouring there!

Bob - Glad someone knows Gabby. Should we believe Deb? I think she's pulling 40, seems like someone that old ought to know Gabby! I know I'm probably the gray haired old lady of this bunch. I will wear the mantle proudly!! Besides why lie about your age? They'll put it on your tombstone and everyone will know anyway!

FutureSlimcat - People come and people go........we are the mercy of our computer and in my case my inadequacy w/ the darn thing. We knew you would have loved to stay w/ us!

Deb - Just some gentle kidding, of course you are not old enough to know Gabby (wink, wink). My ds is thoughtful, so I'll take it like he meant it. I know deep down he did, but I am stupidly insecure. The only thing I can brag about is we raised two
good kids, was great at my job, and am a good stitcher. I could handle patients and their families from a work standpoint, but put me in a crowd of people where I had to be me and I quake. Oh, I can sing on key and loud!!!

Cat - How nice of you to post that Board. I bookmarked it and will look at it tomorrow. Want to see if I can finish posts tonight and then head for bed. I have to go to NH in morning so want to get to bed before 2a! I'm sure if I started that board I wouldn't want to tear away.

Sparkle - Wonderful! Wonderful!

Rhroo - I still not buying until I lose more, except I did buy smaller underwear. I have clothes in my closet that are ancient, but still stylish in this day and age. So I have those. I live in shorts and tees. Around here there's not much dressing up, not even
in church. Why in myyyyyyyy day...........! Of course, shorts are getting looser!

Okay that's it! Night! Take care.

Good Thursday Morning Everyone!

Just got up and trying to convince myself to go for the usual walk, but just don't have the right mindset at this moment, so thought I'd get on here and post and hope that in the meantime, my mind will change

Well, the weatherman was wrong-even though the black clouds did roll in, they rolled right back out-very fast movers they were. The 4th of July was spared a washout down here. After dinner we went over to my sisters house and watch the fireworks at a large development she lives near from her back yard. It's nice each year, done profesionally, lasts about 20 minutes - long enough for the mosquitos to make a nice meal out of you!

TODAY IS RECIPE DAY! I'll be posting a few recipes on the JULY RECIPE BOARD later on. Here's a link to the board:

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...?threadid=6987

SPARKLE, CONGRATS! What wonderful news to wake up to! Big milestones right around the corner when you hit 149! Do you realize, 1 more pound will take you under 150, give you 15lbs loss and only 10 to go!!!! I know you'll be there, and be there soon! Very proud of you!!!

AMSER, I laugh when I read your posts! I loved your post to BOB, as I too wondered what was up the angels butt! And the mention of seatbelts on the wagon!!!! Looking forward to hearing from you, like I said, evenings after 8pm are usually good for me-if I'm not in, leave a message and I"ll call back

RHROO, glad to hear you had a good time with the family. Yes, the pounds seem to be dropping a bit now. I guess I was up and down in a range for a while and my patience just has paid off. When I get to 124, that's where I would say I am stopping, but only stopping the weight loss, not the WOE! I know approx. how many calories I need to stay that weight, and I'll try to keep within that range. I'm plan on continuing to walk, but probably only 5 days instead of 6. Oh yes, and I WILL put the scale away then! BUT, that's still a while away. I don't think I will hit 124 for a while now, as I get lower, the weight takes longer to come off.

SEF, lambchops on the grill-YUMMY! Yummy to the ribs too, I love them both! I'm sure you have bragging rights to lots more than you mentioned! Hey, CONGRATS on smaller underwear! I only wear girdles and I don't have to buy new ones yet-the ones I had were so tight on me that I just don't have to stretch the elastic out as much now! I need something to hold the fat in, and undies just don't cut it! BUT, do be careful, you may go to church one day in those shorts and they may just drop right off of you in there!!!! It happened to me in 6th grade-not in church, but in school. My Mother bought me a pair of jeans, that I told her were too big, but she made me wear them anyhow. Was in PE, had to do jumping jacks, the fell to my ankles!!!! Needless to say, that was the last piece of clothing I allowed my Mother to buy me. Hmmm, come to think of it, the skirt my Mom paid for the other day, is probably one of the few things she's bought for me since then and recently too!

Okay, it's now 7:45am, I started this post at 7:00am (in between was typing I/M to my Aunt). I am going to try and get psyched for a walk before it gets too hot to even think about going. I don't feel like it's going to work on me this morning though!

I'll check in with you all later this morning!

Have a wonderful day!

Default HIT AND RUN

Just a hit and run post to check in real quick.

Yesterday - up to 203, BUT, TOM is here soooooo I'm hoping that when he's gone I'll be BELOW 200............it could happen.

Had to work yesterday b/c of some screwed up data, but got a lot done since no one else was in the office. Then rented Cookie's Fortune and 1941 with John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd. If you haven't seen these they are both great movies - 2 totally different kinds of movies, but good nonetheless.

Meister got home from working the big show around midnight and then we had to take my car to the garage for them to work on it today. We are not used to being up that late so we're both dragging *** this morning. THEN remembered my Dr. appointment today, so he's my own personal chauffer for the day.

I had an appointment with the endocrinologist this morning. She wants me to bring my calories down to 1600 / per day, try Xenical for 2 months and exercise 6 days/week - 30 minutes minimum. I had been doing weights (mostly ) 3 days/week and then walking on the TM for 2 days (okay, I skipped this part more than I didn't). SOOOOOoooo, Sonya will be getting her boo-tee in gear - especially since Vince was there to hear it. Has anyone tried Ty-Bo? I was thinking to have that for back-up on days when I can't get out to walk or to the gym. It just looks fun and I can't do aerobics - those dance steps and jumping around frustrate me more than any benefits from trying to do it.

Good news is that my blood pressure is down quite a bit. I go in on Saturday to have my cholesterol checked again so we'll see how that goes. It will be another couple months, I think, before they check my insulin levels again.

Have a great day!

Exclamation Is it Thursday Already?

Where did the week go?

I HATE that I missed the chat Tuesday. I was so tired from exercising and trying to deal with my sour mood that I opted to stretch out on the couch Tuesday evening. When I woke up it was 9:30 and the town where I live was doing the fireworks display. We can see them from our house. So I hop off the couch and went outside to find hubby and the neighbors. The neighbors got really funky about telling us they weren't coming to our cook-out because they were going to Spewer's. I wasn't angry about their decision, just the way it was handled and the comments that were made. So the funk just continued a little longer. I think that I am over it for the most part now.

Yesterday we had a cookout during the rain storm that came our way. No worries though, they were able to cook without getting wet and we ate indoors. We post-poned that backyard camping until Fri night. Weather is supposed to be much better.

I ran 4 miles this a.m. It was mild but the humidity was up. Glad that I was able to get the distance in. I'm up to 6.5 for the week. I'm also working on my marathon 2002 collage.

I couldn't weigh yesterday because I typically weigh at work. I did weigh on Tuesday and continue to hover around 150. I can see changes in my size, it just isn't showing up on the scale right now. No worries, just gotta stay focused and keep an eye on the intake.

Have another Spewer story! In the wake of the current dialogue with DH about Spewer, he told me something that I didn't know. DH burned his hand quite badly about a month ago on the muffler of the lawnmower. It blistered and looked bad. Well, apparently she made a sexually-referenced comment to DH regarding "which hand" he uses, because that blister could get in the way. Then procedes to say that she uses her right! The nerve of that woman!

NANCE- I wish that I could post the Chicken salad recipe, but I bought it a local grocery store and added pecans and grapes to it. It was made from rotisserie chicken and had red onions, a little garlic and I think maybe a hint of curry. I think I will have to go get some today to have at the camp out this weekend!

FILLISE- OOOO the Dentist! I hate that you have such negative experiences with the tooth doctor. Are you over it now?

BOB- If you don't get your act together soon there will be h*ll to pay when you get to LV!! We may have to have an intervention! Don 't make us have to get ugly. I noticed that little hemroid, diaper rash or whatever on that angel graphic too. It made me laugh actually.

QUILTER- 169! You go girl! I really appreciated your comments in your last post to me. Thanks!

SPARKLE- 150! Yeah for you! You crack me up. You better not be a jealous b*itch! I was also surprised those weeks that I lost 4 pounds, but they were usually preceded or followed by a 1 or 1/2 pound week, so I realize that it all balances out. I had VERY few weeks where I had no loss or stayed the same, and only 1 or 2 when I gained. So this stagnation is new and frustrating. I realize that I can't continue to lose at the same rate that I was 30 or 40 pounds ago. I just worry that I am sabotagging myself with food choices rather than just experiencing a slow-down. I should be the one who is jealous! You live in paradise! Hawaii nei! Thanks for your comments about the friends. I am not interested in a friendship with Spewer, the problems that I experience with her are the impact this has on my other friendships and the anger I experience because I let it get to me. I have to remind myself of your E.R. quote. I even reminded myself of that in the grocery store yesterday when I had a twinge of anger about this whole Spewer "thang." Luckily I have a coworker who is a psychologist and he gives free advice! I hope to be able to connect when you come. Which airport are you flying into, out of? How many days will you be here?

Well, I should go shower off the stink! Hope all have a happy Thursday!

Peace,

FROG

Morning All

Haven't caught up on the posts yet, but will eventually. Weighed in only .5 less. Which is good considering my beer and pasta I ate the other night. Well I guess were going to Cedar Point next week, need to make the reservations. Haven't decided whether were taking my son with us. He's 8 years old and he is tall enough for the rides except for 2. My husband doesn't think he'll want to go on the rides because there so big, but I don't know. What do you all think? His b-day is next friday and I thought friday we could go to Soak City for it and my parents are picking up their exchange student on monday and she would probably really enjoy that too.

Well gotta go.

Hey All

Confession, I didn't walk-just couldn't get my butt to get out there, my intentions were good, my body didn't want to cooperate!

I'm tackling the 4th bedroom today, so I guess I'm getting some exercise, because it sure is a mess in there. That's where I have the computer and hundreds of Ebay items that need to be sold. It gets out of hand so easily in there, and then it gets overwhelming to where I just would rather close the door than clean it. BUT, today, I am doing my best to get it done, if not all, at least, in part to where it's somewhat presentable.

SOL, sorry to hear you had to work yesterday, that stinks! I bet you you'll be less after TOM-here's crossing my fingers, arms, legs, toes for you to be under 200 afterwards! I know I'm not a Dr., but I don't understand why yours wants to put you on Xenical, I don't think you need it, but that's just my laymens opinion. If I knew back then what I know now, I would of never taken a diet drug. I'm sure you can do this on your own, sorry, I don't agree with the Dr.s opinion. What's her reasoning behind wanting you to take it? I think it's a quick fix. But then again, who am I? You have to do what you feel is right for you. What does Vince think??? Just my 2 cents. Though, I am glad to hear your BP is down!!!

AR, you'll drive yourself batty with that scale-like me, on it xx times a day-maybe it's not such a bad idea if hubby hides it again until Wed!!!!

FROG, WOW, 4 mile run-do you run without stopping-I'd die if I tried that! Is it my idea, but does Spewer have a thing for your DH? Seems she's saying stuff that she shouldn't be saying to him. She really shows that she has no class whatsoever! Also, from saying she uses her right, maybe she's complaining she ain't getting any at home!

RALY, congrats on another 1/2lb, ever little bit helps! Sounds like a fun park, I'm sure your son would have a good time there-Soak City sounds fun too!!!

Okay, break time is over, back to cleaning!

Will check in with you all later!

Default Thrilling Thursday

Ok, okkkkkk.. I had fun yesterday. Had yummy food that was OP, ANDDDDDD yummy food that wasn't. But guess what??? I am paying for it today, everyone. My ol' IBS is talking to me LOUD and CLEAR. Gotta get these here bowels from being in such an uproar As for as WIW goes for me this... thank goodness weigh-in was BEFORE all my fun yesterday... I weighed 120 1/2 Emphasis on "weighed". Actually today I am 122. NOWWW, in a couple more days, the scale may be REALLY teaching me a lesson though. Really, I am not gonna obsess over the weight issue now that I am on the brink of , (drumroll)......... V A C A T I O N!!!!! I am gonna look at handling my eating as damage control. Since we will be in the motorhome, I will be trying my BEST to be as OP as possible, but hey, I do wanna live it up a LITTLE. A mixed drink here, a beer there, and maybe just maybe a piece of keylime pie!!!!!!!!! Debbie, I should have warned you ahead of time to SKIP this first paragraph of my post But HEYYYY, you gotta love me for my honesty, right????????

Sol - I admire your determination. Glad to hear the blood pressure is down. My sis is a BIG fan of Ty-Bo, along with this WOE. One out of two ain't bad, for me taking after lil sis, lol. I just haven't gotten a yearning to throw a few punches!!!!!! It will definitely be great aerobically.

Kymn - Hope the burn will tan fast so the pain will go away real soon. But next time... BE MORE CAREFUL, and use some 30sunscreen.

GOTTA STOP FOR NOW... LIL SIS JUST GOT HERE, AND I AM GOING TO GIVE HER INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT NEEDS WATERING HERE WHILE WE ARE GONE!!!!!!!!!

I'll be back.............

EVENING EVERYBUDDY!!!!

Back to the ole "grind" today, and was as busy as a one armed paper hanger! Two days worth of work wasn't fun!

ANNE I wasn't too sure myself what that was "up the angel's butt", but maybe if was RHONDA's foot! BUT....
as FROGGIE said, maybe it was a hemorrhoid! Thought about deleting it, but thought Debbie might be able to use it on her DOOKIE posts!

ANNE Where is it you're going on your vacation? I don't believe you've said.....UNLESS.....this is the trip to the KEYS???
I found an attachment to post that made me think of you and I'll include it today. Have a great time on your trip...HONK when you come down the interstate~~

FROG I have to agree with Debbie about the SPEWER
although I don't think it has to be YOUR husband in particular....I think it's anyone with swingable parts
I would have already had to tell her to "get on back to MAYBERRY"!!

SEF We probably are the oldest on the board..I'm 49yrs old.
I don't know right off hand if anyone else is in our catagory or not!
I know that DEB has watched ROY ROGERS & DALE EVANS She's just pulling our legs...

OKAY....WHERE'S VIV????

AND KIM>>>>>>WHAT'S YOUR EXCUSE???

I'm off to lurk in other places...

Hi all!

Went to NH today and developed a lousy headache, so feel sort of blah!

I took a trip down memory lane today. DIL asked me about a photo. I started to look for it and got involved in old albums dating from my parents marriage. I was such a beautiful baby, them it was downhill from there, or I should say uphill on
the scales!

The other night I watched "Miss Fozzard Finds Her Feet", a one woman play by Akan Bennett starring Patricia Routledge on PBS. I like her and this was a different style for her. I liked it, but it wasn't a gripper. Tonight Hetty Wainthropp series is on.

Deb - I usually wear one piece briefers as they offer support for my back. I had just bought new ones in December so they still fit because they aren't stretched out. At least your embarrassing moment didn't happen during a co-ed event!! Despite the myth
Mothers don't always know what's best!

Sol - It's all in your perspective, I'd be happy to be DOWN to 203, you worry about being UP to 203. Just depends who's on the scales. Don't worry, it will go down! Great that your BP is down! You hear so much about those diet drugs, I'd think long and hard before taking it. Why does Dr. want you to take it? I think you have to give SB more of a chance. I know, MYOB!!!!!!

Adams - Hope that sunburn cools down quickly!

Froggie - I think I would spew the Spewer out of my life! She is a crude coarse person , certainly no lady! I like a little dirty in my jokes, but there is a time and place.

Seraphim - Have a happy vacation and don't get too cocky about those little no-nos here and there!

Gotta go, think I'll take some Ibruprophen. Is that how you spell it?

Take care, Shirley

Bob - Have a couple of years on you, I'm 64 years young. Although, looking at those old pictures today. Why do I call the pictures old and me young?

Now if you want trivia what was name of Dale's horse? What about the Jeep?

We'll let Deb have her illusions!

Default Time for a fast post

BOB, SEF and DEB - I KNOW that Spewer is so needy for attention, particularly a man's, that she will go to any lenght to get it. I really do not consider her a friend and have tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and be nice to her, but enough's enough! She truly is a piece of work. If I ever have the opportunity to catch her saying anything untoward's I will give her the WWF smackdown maneuver right then and there! I will be in a social setting again with her on Wed. I will keep yall posted.

Gotta run!

Peace,

Frog
