Today for lunch I had an omelet with turkey sausage on the side...for breakfast I was starving and ate my little turkey sandwich on real sourdough bread...I did have a dried fig which I gave Serene one too - wondering as we ate them, are they legal? The weather is gorgeous here, hate to have to be stuck inside...

Deb: yes, I have been under an incredible amount of stress, causing me to fall asleep early every night in exhaustion....I am proud of my exercising and my eating....and I am doing my best to not be discouraged - instead I am motivated to just move this body more!!! meanwhile, it has to be water weight as my joints are aching horrendously...this only happens when I swell...so with fingers crossed I am hoping that next week I will be normal...

To everyone else - Hello and sorry I don't have time to post to everyone - but I have to get back to work!!!

Still waiting on the appraisal!!!

Thumbs down Thursday

Morning all!

I woke to loud thuder storms this am--still no sunshine in sight!

I had a good Op day yesterday, so far, so good today. I'm at the church right now and just had a carbolite bar to hold me until I go pick up a salad for lunch.

I want to thank everyone for your support. I need you all very badly right now and helps tremendously to know that you are here!

Serene--# 8 is me!!!! Thanks for the laugh--it was a good pick-me-up!

Crystle--Thanks to you too. Lunch is hardest for me. I seem to do ok for breakfast and supper, but Lunch is mostly what trips me up. I'm thinking about adding smoothies to my b-fast choices==have you tried those?

Monet--Hmmm, that sounds like I good offer. Let me look at my calender to see when I can come! I hope you are feeling better--those headaches are really awful.

Sheanne--Good to see you back on the board! Just make the commitment to get back OP ASAP! We'll be here to help!

Jackie--Yeah doing this for lent seems to help a lot with the motivation! I hadn't wanted to tall everyone how bad it had gotten because then I would have to admit it to myself! So now I'm paying the piper. Thanks for your support.

Linworth--I have soooo many pairs of pants that I could use--they are all thight now. I gave away all my clothes from before I began SB, so it is either get back on the wagon or go shopping and I really don't want to have to buy those sizes again!

BOB--Oy! Bread! I know what you mean about it being like glue. I don't have any in the house right now and keep putting off baking another loaf. Hope you are enjoying the pool! It is looking like we will be in St. Pete during the week of the 24th. We will probably be there 2-3 nights. Probably Mon-Wed. or Tues. - Thurs. I'll let you know when we decide.

Teensy--You've done so well! Yes re-losing is a b***h! But so much better than lettng ALL the losses be wiped out.

ldblond--Sweets are evil--not so much because of what they do to you when you eat them, but because they make you want more. That's why I think we should think if sugar as if it were cocaine. Addictive, destructive, and overpowering!

Deb--I guess I'm just tired of all these "learning" experiences! But the alternative is worse, so I'm still here and determined. I'd love to talk with you this weekend. I have to be out all Sat. afternoon but will be home Sat night. I'm working all day Sunday.

Katt--Deb's answer was excellent! You have to learn to ask about everything. Most decent restaurants you can get a steak, or piece of baken chicken, fish, or pork, some steamed veggies and a salad. I have friends who just roll their eyes when I start grilling the servers in restaurants--but they sneak sugar and white flour into EVERYTHING!

Have a good day everyone!

A quiet Thursday afternoon, I'm so glad. I too Monet, have been suffering from a severe headache for the past 24 hours. I'm feeling better this afternoon, but I'm positive it is sinus/allergy related, just that time of year here. I declined a cupcake last night and felt really good about it! Today has been good too. Enjoy your day.

Default THURSDAY!!!

Woo Hoo!!! I am ecstatic! Do you want to know WHY? My DSL is working again! This morning, VERY early, the thunder and lightening that Fillise heard rolled over here to Hotlanta and did a number here. My power went out, my husband's computer will not boot up now, and I had to tinker and tinker with the DSL, and it would NOT work! Then, this afternoon, I tried again, and it works! I felt SO isolated when it was not working! Now ya'all quit laughing at me.

Here is another reason I am ecstatic! I got on the scale this morning, and had dropped several water pounds from yesterday, to arrive at a new all time low! I was very happy to see a drop, and danced around a good bit about it. Forty-three pounds now...

LIN: Yes, my MIL is rather judgemental. She is a small town, Southern woman, raised on a farm, married a farmer, and is VERY structured. She just doesn't understand why her precious son up and married a Yankee! And not only a Yankee, but an artsy fartsy one at that! I have some major cleaning to do in the room she stays in before she gets here late Saturday morning!

JACK: Oh, I am so relieved! 360 is a huge enough wedding, but I was thinking, boy, I don't even KNOW 1500 people I could invite to a wedding! I was so glad my daughter wanted a small wedding. She was thinking 100, but it ended up being more like 150. Now the younger one wants a HUGE wedding. I hope she starts saving now. Thankfully, she is only 16, and perhaps she will change her mind by the time she finds someone!

KITT: When I eat out, I try to pick simple stuff that is not going to have anything illegal hidden in it. The little bit of corn in that meatloaf isn't going to kill you, but I would try very hard not to let it happen often. Just ask as many questions as you need, most servers are more than happy to help. I always tell them I can't have sugar, and they assume I am a diabetic and bend over backwards to accomodate me. Glad you joined us! Hope you get the support you need here! The more the merrier! We love meeting new friends!

DEB: Lunch turned out ok. Since only two came, I did not have to deal with the unsaved puzzles cluttering the dining room table! I had enough room in the kitchen! Headache is better today! Hope it stays that way. The jelly I use is Polaner all fruit. I like the strawberry and the seedless raspberry.

Gotta go pick up my daughter from track practice....be back in a bit!

Good afternoon,

Getting ready to head out to church to help the ladies get ready for the fish fry tomorrow night. I get to cut up al lthe pies and brownies. Somehow there's something wrong with this picture. Oh well, I enjoy doing it. Just have to make sure I don't lick my fingers.

Hope everyone had an OP day. I've got 67 oz of water down so far today. Probably get more in later. Can't decide to go shopping and then workout or go home and workout and start my cleaning. I would like to get a jump on it before Sat as it is supposed to be 65 here Sat.

Bob, Don't you worry, I'll be planted right in front of the big TV pulling for my CATS. Just hope we can pull it out. Tell Kate to cheer eaxtra hard.

Deb, Congrats on fullfilling both challenges this week. You have done great. Especially getting out there walking in the heat. I can't imagine what summer will be like. But I can't wait. Go on to dinner with the group, get some coffee or something. Have fun at the ministry.

Country, It's amazing how the sunshine can affect our disposition. Done, I haven't even started making the actual charms. We are just now gluing a wire into the big bead so it will dangle long off the ring. Hopefully next week we will actually start making the real charm.

Tranquil, I think you are confused. You hat lunch for breakfast and breakfast for lunch. I guess whatever floats your bota.

Fillise, Congrats on your OP day. Now do it again. You can do this I have faith in you.

Idblond, Congrats on your OP day and also for passing up the cupcake. It get easier. Hang in there. Hope your headache is better.

Monet, Congrats on that new low. 43 pounds is awesome. I'm doing the with you. (that should make you drop a pound or two) These kids all want that fairy tale wedding. They don't appreciate what you could really be spending that money on (or me spending it too!)

Have a great evening everyone.

Ok, I am back! Thankfully, there was hardly any traffic.

I already have 76 oz of water in for the day. I am sure I can get another 32 in at least before bed. I got my third exercise session in today. Feels good to be accomplishing stuff like this.

Now to pick up where I left off....

COUNTRY: Now, I don't mean to be nit picky here, but don't sweat! My husband was raised on a farm and takes great delight in pointing that out to me. They raised hogs, and he talks about spraying them with a water hose in hot weather, and the big sows rolling over with smiles on their snouts... The funniest story he tells is about the sow his father named after his mom, but never called it that in front of her! She would have beaned him proper! Today was better on the treadmill. I think if I have not eaten, it is worse, because I get hypoglycemic from the medicine I take.

TRANQ: You know, the stress you are under can effect your weight loss. Good thing you are exercising regularly. That should help! Stress raises your cortisol levels, which make it hard to lose. Do you think that could be a contributing factor in your situation? Not sure about the figs, but will be interested to know. Glad you are at least posting regularly- we don't need personal messages all the time!

FILLISE: Well, check your calendar, woman! Mine is relatively free, so just about whenever is good! It will be fun to meet. If you want to stay at Spa Monet, just let me know. We can line up the massage therapist, and have fun. If that is the plan, you may want to wait until April, when the pool will be open, whether it is warm enough to swim or not! (Tom is always anxious, then sorry if he opens it before the pine pollen is gone! ) Weren't the storms last night awful? They woke me up at 3 or 4, and my poor wuss of a cat was terrified. We needed the rain, though. We are getting off to a good start this spring...maybe the drought will be over.

LDBLOND: Good for you passing up the cupcake! As for the headaches...this is the time of year that allergies get going, isn't it? In a few weeks, the pollen count here is going to be astronomical. Always is. Every year, I get a bit worse during pollen season. Not sure what caused my headache last night, but three ibuprofen took care of it in about 45 minutes. And I missed eating out for it! Dang!

JACK: Do you wonder if these fanciful weddings would be more practical if the bride and groom had to pay for it? Sometimes it is, and then others, well, I just don't know! I have a friend who's nephew is waiting until they can afford the perfect wedding...but the crazy thing is that they have an 8 month old son! She suggested they get married before the baby came, and then rededicate their vows later when they could afford the party they wanted. The girl tho, wants a huge traditional wedding, and the white dress and the whole nine yards. I just shake my head in wonder....

BOB: I think I would lose better if I cut out the bread. I stopped making my own for a few days to see what happens. It was too hard to resist the stuff fresh out of the oven! Hope you can give it up, and get back on the losing track!

To anyone I missed:

Evening All

Thought I'd try and get in a post while I could, before everyone starts coming home.

Worked for a bit at the ministry today. They are giving away clothes that have been donated by people so I was upstairs putting clothes on hangars so they'd be easy to look at. Then, when the bread came in I helped put it away. People come there and grab like vultures since it's free. They wait for it to arrive and then swooosh, they make a BIG dent in what's arrived. The guy who runs it is up in Orlando supposedly coming back tonight with a huge truck with 10 palletes of food. They want to know if I could come in tomorrow but I'm unsure if I can or not.

Still not sure about dinner tonight, too late for me and no one is really sure when the foreigners are coming home. They've been leaving late and coming home late and I don't think they'll be home any decent time to go to dinner. I bought some salmon yesterday that I'd love to have for dinner, so if we don't go, I sure won't be disappointed!

Pooped today, would like to go take a nap! Maybe after this post!

COUNTRY, I have to confess, I haven't gotten a single e-mail that I know of. If I did and didn't recognize the e-mail address I won't open it and I delete it, or if I don't see a subject matter, like SB, I delete it. Can you resend them?

TRANQUIL, I know if you are eating right as you are you have nothing to worry about, just be patient and you'll see a drop in the scale. The stress can definitely hamper your weight loss, but again, when it subsides (and hopefully, it will soon), you'll see the scale drop. The key is NOT to get discouraged and throw your hands up in disgust, when you do that, all of a sudden you'll see that drop you'd hoped for and then you'll be pissed off at yourself for giving in. Been there, done that!

FILLISE, if I'm home, which I should be, I'll try to remember to give you a call Sat. night. If you don't hear from me, it's more likely I've forgotten due to my old age

LDBLOND, hope your headache subsides! Good for you for not giving in to that cupcake!!!

MONET, CONGRATS on reaching a new low!!! I'd be doing a happy dance too, well, I'll do one for you, right now!

JACKK, well, I don't expect you to be licking your fingers, I mean, how gross would that be, licking your fingers and touching all those desserts! Then again, you could save all those church people from impending sugar overload with the knowledge of you doing so. Nah, let them all suffer, more important that you don't lick!!!! Besides, don't they give you gloves???? (you do realize I'm jerking your chain, don't you?)

BOB, ELI didn't go to the KEYS with the foreigners yesterday, no, he stayed with moi and we went to SHORTY'S for lunch!! Wish you had been here!!!!

Okay, I'm off for a short cat-nap, or at least I hope - I'm like dying a slow death here. Wonder why I'm so tired today....hmmmm, on second thought, TOM should be here in 2 days, maybe THAT'S why!!!!

Toodles

Thumbs down Hey again,

I have time for a quick visit before my next meeting. I've been at the church all day so I slipped out to hit the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday's. I've got a nice piece of Salmon in the fridge ready to be tossed in the oven when I get home.

Deb--You are younger than I am---If your memory is fading, then I'm toast! It will be good to talk to you. I won't have a day off for at least the next two weeks--unless I just steal one in the middle of the week. I might have to do just that!

Monet--Pool? Did you say pool? Was there a masseuse involved? Put me down for two weeks in April Belle and I were rudly awakened at 6:30 this morning by a LOUD clap of thunder and then every car alarm in the neighboorhood going off. It's popping out there pretty good now, so I expect you will see this in another hour or two.

BOB--Uh-Oh, it sounds like you need to send Kate on vacation! I'll push Mom and Dad to make some plans so I can let you know when we will be there. Hang on to the heat until I get there ok?

Jackie--so far so good. . .

Tonight is the first meeting of my Vacation abible School team--cannot BELIEVE it is time to start planning for the summer. I would be much more in the mood if our weather would start to warm up and show some promise of summer!

Have a good evening everyone!

Thumbs down I MISS YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi everyone,

i cannot believe it has been almost a month since i posted, but without a computer at MY house it is kind of difficult. i am still waiting to hear if i get the computer or if i need to get a new one, so time will tell.

i am doing great, i feel good and people i work with have told me that i look like i am losing lots! last time i posted i was in a loose 18, i am getting ready for the 16's!!! i am soooo ready to be able to shop in the regular misses department and not the big girl section.

the divorce process is very slow as i am finding out, it is like marital ping pong between the very greedy lawyers!

my son jeff has unfortunately injured his shoulder again at spring football practice, he will have surgery again monday the 10th! fortunately college football scholarships pay for all the bills, but i hate to see him miss another season and have to go through the painful rehab again. he has a very positive attitude, but mom still worries!

sarah is adjusting well to the joint custody, at least appears to be doing well. she is very busy with dance and girl scouts, alas the dreaded girl scout cookies have again invaded my living room!
she or rather we sold 175 boxes this year.

daisy harper the cockapoo also is adjusting, i have full custody of her but i am gracious to allow for some visiting!

well must go, take care all

deb i will call soon!

love from your friend,

chris

Hi guys,

Does anyone agree that the third day of being back op is hard??
It seems to be my downfall.
I kept having cravings for carbs......BUt I stayed op so far!!
I grabbed some pickles and celery instead.....now my stomach hurts...too many veggies.
Oh well atleast I avoided a dissaster.

Default Thursday Night

Hi Everyone!!!

I am so far behind. So sorry I didn't check in last night. I went to bed a little after 9 and had a great sleep. Just couldn't stay up any longer.

My weigh in was much better today. Now I'm back down to 194.5 which was my lowest for the past month at minus 9.5. Being this close to the 10-pound mark will really keep me honest this weekend and focused. I can almost feel it. I think I will be weighing in every morning in hopes of seeing that new magic number.

I hope you all had a great day. I will respond to as many people as I can. But I know I've missed so much already. Gosh, I hate missing stuff. Because I know you all always talk about the best things.

JACKK---Did you all have horrible ice this morning? Oh my gosh, it was terrible here for a couple of hours. I had all these errands for work to run, but decided to ride in with Paul and then wait until the sun had been out a while. Luckily the sun was shining and the roads dried up and it was okay. But rush hour was pretty dicey. I was happy to be in the driver's seat. Hey, is your back getting sore when you spend so many hours working on the beads? When I put in a full night of jewelry making, I really feel it the next day.

DEB---I did feel on cloud nine when somebody noticed my weight loss. The thing is she didn't know anything about my cutting back or trying to lose weight. So that made it even better. It wasn't like she was trying to make me feel better.

KITT---Welcome to the SB board! I hope you get all your answers here and find the same great support that the rest of us have.

AGAPE---Hey, congrats for staying OP. That's great for you! I know what you mean about not wanting to get on the scale. Somedays it's harder to get on the scale. I really like this new digital one we bought a few months ago. No more shakey needle! Yeehaw!!! Keep up the great work. Pretty soon your clothes will be getting so loose that you will just have to weigh in. The curiosity will be too much for you.

LIN---When were you in east TN to eat at the Ridgewood??? I can't believe we have another similarity. Too cool. We ate at the Ridgewood in September when we were down there. Last summer at my college girlfriend reunion, a couple of the TN girls brought the entire meal (minus fries). They brought pork, beef, the big buns, the slaw. Oh my gosh, I was in heaven. And then they went to Poor Richards and brought Maxine's finest sweet tea. Now I did NOT drink that tea. It had been so long since I'd had sugar that I knew better than to start downing that tea. But let me tell you that was quite the temptation. They also brought a couple cases of the barbecue sauce. It had been 10 years since I'd had Ridgewood and it was as good as the memories.

MONET---So sorry to hear that you are not feeling good. But you were probably right to stay home and take care of yourself. That was smart of you. Kick that headache to the curb, girlfriend! Congrats on the new low. I am doing cartwheels for you!!! What a GREAT feeling!!! Keep up the work and keep up the water.

TEENSYBEANS---I really, really like your name. How cute!!! I hope all goes well for your DH.

TRANQ---You are doing so great with your eating and exercising. I am so proud and happy for you. Keep it up! You will fade away before our eyes! How smart to get DS on his blades. Hey, I love turkey sausage. Krogers had it on sale last week, so I bought three packages and threw them into the freezer. It's so much lower in fat and calories. We like to grill them on the GF. Of course, I can't wait until it's warm enough to get the outside grill revved up. I loved what you said to DEB about being proud of yourself and also how you are trying to keep your attitude up. That's so important, and I'm glad you spoke of it. Because it's a great reminder to me that I really must stay positive. A good attitude really, really helps. We have to enjoy the journey or will never make it to our goals. You go, GIRL!!!!!

FILLISE---I'm sorry you had thunder boomers today. That must mean spring is here. Does Miss Belle get scared during storms? Maddie gets so fearful. She paces and pants and basically drives us crazy. Girlfriend, we are always here for you. You know we all just are ready to give you whatever kind of support you need. Just stick close and keep checking in. I get so much support from all of you. Isn't it amazing what one or two sentences written to you can do? How lucky are we all????

BKM---It's good to read your post. I am so happy, happy, happy that your life is going well. And look at you getting into 16's soon!!! That is great! Girl, you are leaving me in the dust. I've still not seen a lot of difference in my clothes yet, except that everything is more comfortable. I think my boobs are shrinking. Wouldn't you know "the girls" would be the first thing to start getting smaller. I had planned to call you last weekend, but it got away from me before I did. I got your message and have your number and will be calling soon. My youngest niece is coming in for the weekend, so I probably won't have time this weekend. But I really want to touch base with you. Take care, my friend. Give Sarah a skyline hug from me.

ROSALIE---Doesn't it feel GREAT to be on the other side of 200!!! I think it's such a motivator, just to be on that sweet side. Hang in there. You will probably see a loss next week. I agree with what you said about how sometimes it takes a bit of bouncing around before a new weight will stick.

COUNTRY---I'm so glad to hear that you are enjoying your TM. Ain't it great to be warm and dry while moving your behind? I truly enjoy mine. I was going to get up early this morning and do a morning without my telephone buddy, but I opted for the bed instead. A true moment of weakness on my part. OH well, there's always tomorrow. How many days a week are you treading? When do you usually do yours? Early or late? I'm liking early, because then it's over and I don't have to risk making an excuse.

Oh man, now the president is coming on instead Survivor. This was NOT on my schedule!!!!! I will never make it through all of CSI if he goes on too long. (Sorry, I'll keep the rest of my opinions to myself!)

Good night all. Have a great Thursday!!!!

Angry Wonderful, Wonderful!!

[COLOR=royalblue]Hello Ladies,
I am so proud of myself today. I got in 126 ozs of water today. . And oh boy, have I been going to the "ladies-room". I know this will level out when my body gets use to the water. I thought I was getting in everything, but I'm still not getting in enought calories. I can say it is getting better, day by day.

Quilter~~~Thank you dear, for the encouragement. I need it, and you are right about the scales. My pants do seem to be getting a little looser. I think I want to go digital, too. I go to the gym tomorrow and Sat. to get my 3 days in. I will start next week with 3 days of water exercise and 2 days of regular excercise (circuit training or weights). I need 5 days of cardiovascular excercise, according to my doctor.

All of us are going thru something and that's life. I found out that stress really can make loosing weight difficult. Something called cortisol is released in the bloodsteam and it also makes us age. I felt stressed out today and when I remembered what that stuff does to the body, I let go of the stress because I couldn't change the situation anyway. So hang in there ladies and just do the best that you can in all situations.

Have to go now and get rested for tomorrow. Have a goodnite and I'll see yall tomorrow.

Evening All,

I did really well today. I have been trying not to have starchy carbs at all for a little bit. I eat only SB legal vegetables, SB legal fruits, for lunch and dinner 4 oz of lean red meat, chicken or fish (grilled), and egg white omelets with lots of vegetables for breakfast. I also have a small handful of nuts (walnuts, almonds and cashews) for snack in the afternoon. I drink a cup of green tea for breakfast and a cup for lunch and the rest of the time try to drink lots of water. I have to really try hard to drink a lot of water though.

It sounds like everyone is doing so good. For those of you having difficulty losing right now, I know from experience that you just need to keep on going. It is so hard to re-lose the weight that you gain. I lost 33 pounds before and just gained back 14 pounds. It took me forever to lose it too. I'm Just keeping that image of myself at goal weight in my mind and taking it one day at a time. Sometimes I find myself struggling just to get through to the next hour.

Anyway, have a great SB day tomorrow!

Hi Everyone

I wasn't able to type last night as I have two sore fingers. I got clobbered by my partner when I was playing badminton yesterday evening. I got hit with his racket and had the end of two fingernails taken off as well as a little gash in the skin. They're feeling better now, just hope those nails grow back soon. I made some chicken soup a couple of days ago and it was yummy. I added the usual onion, carrot and celery, plus a small piece of squash and sweet potato. It's amazing how sweet it tastes just by adding a little sp. Yum, Yum. Now I have a request to make some more to put in the freezer for while I am away so I may make some more tomorrow. Eating has been o.k. to-day. I had oatmeal for bf and a small piece of salmon and baked squash for lunch (leftovers from dinner last night). For dinner I had a pork chop on the grill and green beans. I've also had an Asian pear and a small fruit cup. I almost forgot I had some cashew nuts while I was out shopping to-day then some peanuts this evening. I know I had too many of those but have not had any starchy carbs since bf this morning.

BOB - Thanks for posting that list. When the snow is gone I may try the coke on my driveway. Here's another one that I discovered recently - using toothpaste to clean tea or coffee stains from china.

Serene - I'll do the happy dance for you for getting to your all time low. Congrats.

Trishaloo - I know how it is with those starchy carbs. I need to keep them really low to be able to lose anything.

MeeshRenee - Sorry that I don't have any suggestions of how to counteract the sedative effect of those anthistamines. I was going to ask you if you had tried any of the non-sedating ones but it sounds like you must have tried everything already.

Fillise - Sorry to hear that you are having such a tough time. You know that we are all here for you so just hang in there, hop on that wagon and fasten the seatbelt. Have you tried keeping your bread in the freezer? I never leave bread out anymore because I know I would eat too much of it. I just take out a slice (or two) when I want it and usually toast it. I know it is not the same as fresh baked bread but I just couldn't afford to have it handy. What I am using now is store bought but when I used to bake my own I would slice it and freeze it.

Monet - Glad your lunch went well yesterday. Too bad you missed the dinner date though. It's always nice to have a reason not to cook, not forgetting those nasty dishes to wash. When I saw your motto "Never do to-day what can be put off until tomorrow" it reminded me of a "Morning Smile" I saw in a newspaper some time ago: "Never put off doing to-day something you can do tomorrow. You might like it and want to do it again tomorrow." I'm doing the happy dance for you for losing those pounds. Whether they were water pounds or any other kind of pounds - a pound is a pound.

Sheanne - Welcome back. Sounds like you did really well to-day.

Lin - I expect it to be warm in Spain. Should be in the 50's or 60's at least, maybe warmer, depending on which part of the country we are in. I'm taking a bus tour so will be travelling around the country. Whatever it is though will definitely be better than here.

Tranquil - Yesterday's lunch sounded good. It's been a while since I had a steak. That was a neat idea to get your ds on rollerblades while you were walking. Better yet, why don't you try the rollerblades? Should be fun. I'm not sure if figs are considered legal. They do have a gi of 61, which is quite high.

Teensybean - Hope dh did o.k. with the myelogram to-day. They are certainly no fun.

Deb - Please send some of that heat up here. We could sure do with some. The pizza dough I make is very, very easy. I agree with you that the original recipe (which is from the Brennan's book) needed some adjustment. But it is just a question of using a little less liquid or adding more flour. Since making those adjustments I have never had any trouble with it. Making breads is a little different to making cakes where you need to be more precise in your measurements to get good results. You should give it a try some time. I'm leaving for my holiday on Monday evening. Flight leaves at 5.30. p.m. So what's all this foreigner business? So you think all of us Canadians are foreigners, eh.

Jack-K - Hope you kept your fingers out of your mouth to-nite. . I was watching a TV cooking show the other day and this dame licked her fingers and then put her hand back on the food. Ugh. I was waiting to see what she did with the food but she ate it herself. I still thought it was rather gross though.

BKM - WTG on getting down a size. It's a great feeling to get out of the big girl sizes. Sorry to hear about ds and his injury again. Glad Sarah's doing o.k. Hope you can resist those gs cookies.

Quilter - I'm sure you will be hitting the ten pound mark soon. WTG. It sure does feel good to stay below the 200 mark. It's been a long time coming so hope it stays. I'm just hoping I can resist all the gooey starchy food while I am away the next two weeks.

LdBlond - Hope your headache is better. WTG on resisting that cupcake.

Kitt - Welcome.

Well it's time I got off of here. I have a bit of reading to do before settling in for the night.

Marie.
