Well, I hope WIW is better for you guys than it was for me. I'm up a pound. Not sure why, but I'm sure there's a reason. I do know I've been eating too many starchy carbs, so I'm going to seriously try and cut those down. I'm sure it's the old portion size thing. I know for some reason I'm really swelled up, too (rings are tight), so I'll keep pounding back the water and try to cut back on the sodium. I made some sausage last night and it was pretty salty now that I think about it. It was a different kind than I normally use. I did get my water in yesterday (82 ounces), so it might have been worse if it hadn't been for Debbie's challenge.
Sorry I missed chat last night, sounds like you guys had a great time. The time was interfering with the Longhorns basketball game, though. Nothing personal, but I do have my priorities. If we can hang on, we may be looking at a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament!! Go Horns!!!!! Jackie, this could get interesting.
Susan - Our neighbor has a tulip tree and it's beautiful. Our redbud is starting to bloom and I think our mountain laurel is finally going to bloom this year. I love the way they smell. This one is right outside my kitchen window.
Heartmom - I feel for you having a sick husband. Mine finally went to the doctor yesterday and he has a sinus infection. They can be the biggest babies when they're sick.
Rosalie - I must have missed something. Where are you going?
Sol - Good luck with the interview. That would be great to have something with less of a drive. How's MS State doing this year? I haven't been keeping up with them as much as I did last year. I was cracking up reading your post about Vince and Vixen. I could just picture them out in the rain, Vince with his ever so stern look and Vixen, just being the princess.
Jackie - Sounds like you're having fun with the beads thing. See, if you'd have come to Orlando when we were all there, you could have had all of us working on them. Of course, after the wine we drank, no telling what they would have looked like (no names, but you girls know who you are, Wendy and Sonya).
Monet - Yikes, 3 of them in braces! Fortunately, my oldest son, just had to have a palatal spreader when he was about 6 and that fixed his problems. No braces for him and he has beautiful teeth. Since Seth's permanent teeth started coming in, we've known that this was coming. Good luck with the lunch today.
Quilter - Don't ya just love those comments!!
Teensy - I agree about adding some protein to your breakfast. I find that I make much better choices through the day if I do that. I've never used fructose because the only kind I can find is the stuff that's made from corn or something like that. I've had the protein bars on occasion, in case of emergency and not suffered in ill effects from them but after I'd been on SB for a while, they just tasted too sweet and awful for me. I wish someone would make one in a non-sweet flavor, like nacho cheese Dorito flavor or something like that.
Sabrina - Hang in there girl.
Debbie - Have fun with Eli today. I know why you don't want to go to Key West, could it be there's no Ole Ole there?
Wendy - Congrats on the loss!!
Well, hope everyone has better luck than me with the scale. If not, you're in good company.
See ya later.
Trish

. I usually enjoy the first snowfall of the winter but by now I am sick and tired of it. Can't wait to get away from it all.

Wish I had just the right words to give you encouragement besides to hang in there and don't give up.

I almost jumped out of my seat! WTG girl. Keep up the good work and you will look mavalous at that 30 yr reunion. (Don't feel bad it's 32 for me). Add some lemon and ice cubes to that water. Makes it delish. Liked the joke, but I can relate to many of them.
you should pat yourself on the back. Hope you are feeling better.
....I've been on a bread binge and have gained...My LENT promise will be to give up bread and stuff like that...it's the only way I can lose! My Dr told me that bread of ANY KIND is like GLUE in the VEINS!!!!
