Hello all!!! Hope you all had a great weekend! From the looks of the posts looks like you had some very busy ones! 'Tis the season and it was quite busy here. Interesting how your weekends are actually busier that your weeks.
Well, I weighed in on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. and I believe that that or the 10 a.m. are going to be my meetings from here on out. I am officially down 10.8 lbs, so I added another dancer!!!! I also figured something out, Friday night and Saturday morning before my weigh-in, I weigh on my scale at 191, after getting dressed I weighed in at 193. Could not believe what I had on, weighed 2 lbs.!!!!! Last week, when I had a gain (my first) I had on jeans (for the 1st time for weigh-in) these definitely weighed more than my tank and yoga pants on Saturday, so maybe I did not gain that week, oh well! It's a shame that they won't give a 2 to 3 lbs. allowance due to our clothing.
A friend who did Jenny Craig in the past said that they give an allowance to give you a "truer" body weight. Another Saturday morning WW-er, had a great method, she had on light cotton shorts that you wear to bed and a tank under her sweatshirt and sweats and she proceeded to lose the shirt and sweats prior to weigh-in. I definitely will be doing that from here on out!
Anyone have any interesting weigh-in rituals?

Don't laugh! I wear the same exact outfit for WI each week. My friends at the mtg. probably feel sorry for me or think I'm weird, but I don't want a variance in clothing weight to detract from what I weigh. This is especially important since sometimes I'll only lose a fraction of a pound. Clothing is something I can control as I'm working on controlling my food intake. I do like Core and I'm doing OK on it.
Thanks for keeping the messages up. I read you all the time.

Torrey, weigh to go! Those two dancers look MARVELOUS!
I don't have any weigh in rituals but I am careful about what I wear. I'm still wearing lighter fall clothing and I wear the same amount of jewelry/watch, etc. as I did the first week. I'm waiting until I have a week when I did great so that I can switch to my winter clothes. LOL! We say we don't sweat the scale but we do!
Hey, Judy. We'd love to hear from you. Jump in any time! How long have you been on Core and how are ya doin?!

I have a weigh in ritual. I wear the same yoga pants and a light blouse of some sort. And I never ever wear my watch and bracelets......they weigh .8lb. so forget that! Maybe if I got my hair cut really short I would drop a couple of pounds.....?? Oh well. And I never eat before go.......haha.....
And since starting core I have not had a + week (knock on wood) but when I do my line will be.......geez these old bones are weighing in heavy......! haha

Hi ,
I'm Judy and I have been a Weight Watcher for a long time. I started Core in August when it was first offered. I lost 10#, but since Halloween I've been up and down the same couple of pounds. I like the foods on Core and I like the weight loss. Now I have to stick to it a little better so my weight keeps going down instead of yo-yoing.
You all take care.
Judy

Linda, hang on!! You can do it!!
I've been up and down and playing with the same few pounds too ... must be something about being close to goal. I think my mind plays tricks on me. I say well I deserve this or that ... but really I just have to get tough and get those last few pounds off and THEN I can slip occasionally.
PM me if you want to compare "bad girl" notes.

Thank you, thank you Frannie and Kathy...it was good for me to come here and see your post...My husband told me the same thing this morning Kathy, that I think my mind plays tricks on me, because I am close! I will get those SF pops Frannie, thank you. I have no right to feel I can have this or that, not yet!! So why the heck did I sabatoge myself with points. I thought I could do better perhaps..........NOT!!!!!
I am all journaled for the entire day today, and may do the WW smoothie for a treat.
I need MY treat :-)
Thank you both so much....I almost did NOT come back here because of my failure these past few days, but I figured if I didn't I'd be back where I was the last time.
Thanks again. Oh by the way I am up .7 a little more than 1/2 a lb, I am assuming that is,but I refuse to put that on my tickertape. But I thought I'd share that with you all. I will W/I again on Saturday and use those results. I guess trying to change things areound screwed me up........Lesson learned (AGAIN!!!)
Talk with you later..............

Hi Guys! Linda, I'm sorry I didn't see your post until this morning. Hubby and I were in a car accident last night about the time you were leaving your post. We were rear-ended. We were at a complete stop waiting to make a left. A woman was distracted by her child and the coffee she was drinking and slammed into the back of us. She said she never saw us! She told paramedics that she never put on her brakes. We got checked out at hospital and all is well. Just VERY sore. It was my first ride in an ambulance. It really wasn't pleasant thought because they collared me and taped me to the straight board because I was complaining about my neck. Can't complain about that at 48, can I? We are told that we have no trunk to our car. So next couple of days will be spent sorting out this mess. Good thing I'm retired!
Now Linda.....thank God you came back here. Please, please don't feel like you can't come back here no matter how many times you slip. Remember, we are all in the same boat. Don't you think I've slipped a few thousand times in my life since I need to lose 130 some pounds!
I understand the sweet tooth problem but your reaction that you don't deserve your treats is not a good one (to me anyway!). I don't remember whether or not you like to make recipes but my advice would be to try some of the more fun dessert recipes. I feel so good when I make them, like I'm really having a real dessert. I'll go research Barbos site and see what I can suggest that I've made and liked. Most of them make 4 servings. This lasts two nights in our house because hubby eats them too! Most of them are based on pudding, yogurt, cheese, jello, etc. Nothing gourmet!
In a pinch, I make myself SF/FF Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate made with a cup (instead of 6 ounces) of skim. The first time I made it I couldn't believe how sweet it was. This might be a good thing for you to have when you first come home from work. It is limited to once a day though.....and it's a milk serving in a very delicious way!
I don't want to sound preachy, Linda, but I really think if you can stay on Core for a solid weak your sugar cravings will subside a bit. I know it's so hard to resist when you are having cravings.

Linda, everything I'm giving you is stuff I've eaten and liked. The first one we had at Thanksgiving dinner and it was terrific. It is exactly the same recipe as if you had crust.
Crustless Pumpkin Pie
15 oz pumpkin (just under 2 cups)
1 can evaporated skim milk (12 oz)
3 egg whites
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp ginger
1/2 cup Splenda
Combine all ingredients & beat until smooth. Pour into a 9" sprayed pie pan. Bake at 400F for 15 minutes and then at 325F for 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Serves 6-8
1 pt per serving

This is one of my favorites. It is very sweet and gets a milk AND a fruit serving in. I make it often.
Caramel Apple Delight
1 package sugar-free butterscotch pudding and pie filling, 4 serving size
1/2 cup fat-free cottage cheese (Iuse FF ricotta)
1/2 cup nonfat yogurt
6 tablespoons skim milk
1 medium apple, peeled, cored and finely chopped (Don't use Gala - they are too juicy and make the pudding runny on the second day. Macintosh, Jonathon, Fuji are all good!)
In a medium bowl use a hand blender to blend together first four ingredients until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in chopped apples. Cover and chill until ready to serve. Serves 4.

Yummy, if you like lemon! I posted this recipe to Barbo's myself and Carol embellished! I can't wait to try it with other flavors.
LEMON MERINGUE CUPS
1 Small box sugar free lemon Jello
1 cup boiling water
1 cup sugar free/fat free lemon yogurt (count points)
3 packets of Splenda (I used 8 and thought it was still tart!)
1 Teaspoon lemon extract (I didn't use this and thought it was very lemony)
Dissolve Jello in the boiling water and let sit until it gets to room temperature. Before the Jello sets, stir in the Splenda and lemon extract. Fold in the yogurt and spoon into 4, 1/2 cup indidivudal servings. Cover and refrigerate. Tastes like the middle of a lemon meringue pie. Top with Fat Free Cool Whip.
You can make this with any flavor Jello and yogurt/extracts.
************************************************** *****************
Addition by Carol:
For a topping/garnish I folded 2 Tbsp. lemon SF/FF yogurt in to 1/4 cup FF Cool Whip. Divided this mixture among the 4 servings; sprinkled on lemon zest. Chill until jello mixture is set.
