Today I felt like Meadow's bouncing smiley!!! I had another glorious day and am sorry it is coming to an end!
the weather couldn't be better and I spent a lot of time outside today. Did the library thing for the "girls" and got their large print books! Books for me too. I also bought some books for the "library" in the community room. will get reimbursed tomorrow. Went for my flu shot. Feeling a bit poorly but better than the real flu. Jen will get hers nest week or the week after.
Took my ride and fed my friends but they weren't there. I don't know where they were off to but all the other nuts are gone!! Some Canadian geese were waching me from behind another fence. They are still hanging out in the reservoir. Hope tomorrow is a good one too. I will miss all the traveling when winter comes.

Linus~ I am vbery sorry to hear about Dad and also Craig with the asthma. Dad's helper should be fired!!! How incompitent she is! She shouldn't even be near anyone who needs help. WTF!!!
Hope both of them are feeling better soon. don't forget to take care of YOU while all this is going on!!(((((HUGS)))))for all!

Teel~ 3 shots! Yes no wonder everything hurts!! Hope you feel better soon too. I can understand about all the undressing and dressing. Lots of energy and effport needed there! some days you must be exhausted before you get going! But we must keep on plugging away and ignore as much as possible. ((((HUGS))))) for you too! Take good care of yourself too!

Meadow~ Loved the smiley bounce and will try and save it to my pictures!!! I know I can use HIM!!! That is exactly how I felt today! .....bouncy and smiley and very happily accomplishing things. It's all this sunshine so late in the year and warmth. I am loving every minute of it!!!

Well girls I must go and get ready to lock up the joint!! Sal is waiting for me and my large set of keys!! Have a great night and see you all tomorrow!!

Taking my lunch hour to get on the computer in the cafe as I haven't had much time to do any posting for a couple of days.

My legs came right after my mega walk last weekend. I subjected them to another bout on the Sunday as well, but not quite as bad as Saturday. Don't seem to be losing much weight for it though, mind you I'm not eating that well either as I am eating out the fridge in preparation to going home on Friday so the meals are slightly strange to say the least. Eggs, chicken breast, cherry tomatos, 1 yellow pepper, 1 carrot and half an onion are left now, plus some salsa, lemon myrtle sauce and a potato and yoghurt. Should be an interesting dinner and breakfast!!!

Went out to see my ex-neighbour on Sunday. It was wonderful. 40 years on and we still recognised on another - mind you there wasn't a lot of people to choose from really!!! But I don't remember her husband at all. He tells me he used to go to school with my brother but I doubt brother will remember him - he has trouble with his sons names!!!! well not really, but you know what I mean.

So good to catch up on the gossip. I've skim read most of them but in the need for speed here have had to abandon comment until I get home on Friday.

Job goes as jobs do, I'm managing to sneak around the two twerps and do my own thing with the subject matter expert. As long as he and I are happy, who gives a damn and I feel better about the output. Two of the others are also bypassing the twerps and we collaborate to produce a superior product - even if I do say so myself. We'll get hung if/when they find out - who gives a damn.

So going home tomorrow. Back in Brissie by midnight and have two days at the house. DS tells me the rose garden is looking fantastic - so does my friend who comes to get the veges. Also have a stack of Hippeastrums flowering as well - they are sort of trumpet shape flowers a bit like asiatic lilies but bigger. They are bulbs which do well in Queensland and they are planted in amongst the purple smelly plant (cherry pie) can't think of its botanical name right now. It'll come back. So these magnificent red, pink and white - block colours and stripes are poking out of the smelly purple, Quite a sight apparently. I will see that on Saturday. You may get a photo if enough flowers are still there. Apparently according to friend, the tomato patch is producing more and more fruit and she has enough in her fridge now, so if there are none there for me, she will let me have some of my tomatoes back. I think she has taken over the vege patch.

Right better go. It has taken too much time to catch up and I want to put an entry in the journals before Mel goes out of sight at the top of the list of journal enterers!!!

Hope your Dad's okay Linus
It's good to hear the chatty chicks are also burning up the phone lines. Even if it is to a zip code. Must do some of it myself on the weekend.

See you

WOW! have ya'll been busy since my last post. It takes me hours to read them all ...

Linus totally inapproprate for her to write such obserd things! Terrible, and non tolerated! I work in the health care system and by george that is not acceptable! What a and she should have been fired on the spot! Now, I do hope your Father is doing better, sorry if I missed this, did he injury himself in anyway?

Teel I totally understand your pain, I suffered injuries during a car accident two years ago, the pain has never gone away and neither have the nightmares....I also understand about the tears and how you want to be strong and not cry all the time....sometimes that's all I do, then I get frustrated and angry...and unfortunately you always take that out on the one's closest to you...my ds, although he understands, he too then gets angry as the insurance corp, refuses to see my side of things and thinks I'm faking it...little do they know! bas***ds!

Miss Melody sounds like you had a really nice day, including McDonald's , hope it tasted good. How are you feeling now that your flu shot is over, I usually get a fever for a short time..then feel pretty good afterwards... ...not much to report, not a POP day for me either, did well until I arrived home then took Ty out to "look" at new snowboards, that "look" cost me $500.00!, so told him no more as I paid out his season pass for $465.00 so that's almost $1000 for the season, and he needs gloves too...heck he's more expensive than me! (Who knew I was so cheap!)

Hi to all whom I missed, sorry it's taking so long to get to know you all.... but Im trying Hope you all have had a pleasant day, see you tomorrow!

Marie

Linus, I was reading about your dad and my mouth was open catching the late night flies I do say you did the right thing reporting this woman. It is only a matter of time that someone dies on her watch with the effort of care (I say loosely) that she gives. You may have saved someone's life. Will send some healing prayers for your dad. I hear more and more of this - the folks falling down and laying there for sometimes days on end - happened to my mum's neighbor - good thing she went to check on her as she had been on the kitchen floor over 2 days and crying hysterically. Your life has been one adventure after the other lately, hasn't it? I admire your ability to keep some control and sanity about yourself!

Loved the calling the postal zip code thing ladies! Just goes to show you that we have too many, way too many codes and passwords and identification numbers and things to remember in our brains. And of course our phone numbers and addresses in the States are so far off from what other countries are like, it a wonder we are able to communicate with the outside world. Glad to hear you have hooked up together Teel and Linus. I daresay I could not afford the telly bill if I was to call overseas - I am too much of a chatterbox who says nothing but takes an hour to do so.

Mel, seems like you are enjoying feeding the woodland friends but take it from one who knows, they can eat a whole in your food budget faster than you can blink! But it is so much fun to watch them, even if they don't seem grateful for this magical food that appeared out of nowhere. And getting outside in the fresh air and sun will do you good. Are the leaves changing by you? The reds are starting to come out and I saw one brilliant yellow and orange tree not to far from here - that's my favorite coloring group - looks like it glows.

Teel dear, I think we need to make you a "fidget" bracelet as we don't want you breaking your precious ring there. I actually have a twirly thingy I got as part of one of my quit smoking attempts packages. It's a perfect substitute for worry beads. And I don't think you should hold back or apologize for your actions. DH has often told me that if you aren't living it, you cannot fathom for one minute what it is like to spend each and everyday of your life in great pain. I think people are just trying to be helpful, sometimes we don't always know what to say. I am sad to hear that you have abandoned your swim plans. It felt good to cheer you on as you increased the laps in the pool. And there was that nice warm jacuzzi as a reward afterwards. Just look at getting on and off the clothes as practice for our old age in case one day we look at our shoes with a blank look and wonder just what it is we are supposed to do with them If you practice getting dressed and undressed, you will always remember what to do with the shoes (toss them at me I suspect for being a wizen-heimer)

Ah Shad, so good to hear that you are coming home very soon. Have missed your regular posts. Leave it to you to figure out a way to circumvent the stupidity system there. Your garden sounds all in bloom and quite lovely - hope the blooms stay on the vines for you. Had to laugh about the neighbor confiscating all your tomatoes. Why put them in the refridgerator? ICK they lose their flavor - you are never supposed to refrigerate tomatoes unless they are in a sauce.

Thanks for an opportunity to exercise the facial muscles Meadow. I really liked the poem - if you do make a sincere effort to smile it does lift the spirits.

Hellos to Nae and Marie before I get on with my yacking.

Linus, yes the DH has a motorcycle - a big Harley touring bike. He got it AFTER he totalled his last bike, took a roll in the road in a freak accident and tore himself from head to toe. (Guess who got to play nurse for the next several months?) I was not happy he chose to get another bike and told him that the next time he got into an accident (even tho he was a very very careful driver) that he should call anyone but me. He has had it for about 6 years now but hasn't had the time to ride much in the last 3 years and I think it's a waste to have it laying in the shed - we had to build a special shed to store the bike as we didn't have room in the garage. What with maintenance, insurance and license tags it was a very very expensive once a year ride that he would take. I think he was quite disapointed that I would not ride with him. I did ride on the original bike but after I saw him in the hospital after the accident, I knew that had I been on the bike, I would have been killed or terriblly maimed for life so I said never again. He put an ad in the paper but it's rather late in the season to be selling. In this part of the country there's about a month more left to ride before it's too cold and slippery. He finally admitted what I suspected that part of him just didn't want to give up the bike. We'll see.

In other news, I have a cold. My first in over a year and a half. This does not make me happy as I have to fly to Texas on Friday morning. A bunch of us from our work team are paying our own ways to gather together one last time for a weekend of eating, drinking, laughing and story telling. I will be back Sunday afternoon but I have a flight at the crack of dawn Friday so I'll be getting up at 3am to get ready to leave. I just hope my stuffy head clears by then.

I was also offered a job today. It's with the new company which will mean a move down south to Tennessee. This northern "yank" will have to learn how to be a southern belle. We have little details to discuss and I am awaiting some information to review but I told them I'd decide by Monday and most likely I will take the job. DH is very happy, my mum is not and everyone else is somewhere in between. Happy for us but not happy that we will move.

It certainly with be a total life upheaval for us. I am scared but also excited and I think the time is right to at least take a risk and try - much like Shad's signature. We haven't decided on a start date at the new office - new boss is trying to compromise that the sooner the better to start but she also understands that I have lots to do to get my house ready to sell and move myself to a completely new area. I'm sure that will happen before the end of the year, I'm thinking maybe 6 weeks or so.

Which means lots and lots and lots to do. I doubt I will be spending much time on the computer tho I will make an effort to pop in once in a while. This will be my last post until I get back on Sunday afternoon.

Thank you all for the prayers and good wishes and karma and support that you have shown me over the last few weeks. DH said he was SOOOOOO glad this was over with. In all our years together he said he has never seen me so wound up over a job thing. Well that's because it gets harder as the years go by. I am not quite the cocky 30 year old I once was.

Anyway, I have to run and get to bed. Thanks again ladies. Talk to you on Sunday evening.

Right-o. Start again as my blasted computer just crashed on me. and now my damn smilie link won't work now either and the dog is barking her head off...probably at the postman...

Been to the g.p. this morning. Have a huge lump come up on my neck..hang on...what the **** is Holly barking on at? Nothing. I just looked. Anyway. Lump on neck. Sort of round the gland area so G.P. has stuck me on Klaricid for I don't know how many times this year and told me that if it hasn't gone in 1 week to go back and see him.
Pause here to strangle the dog...
Forgot to tell doctor of my 9 month less 1 week wait for my follow up, remembered to tell him I am STILL in absolute agony and he said it could be as long as 4 weeks before I actually feel any benefit from the injections...4.weeks!!!!

Oh and I wondered why I couldn't get hold of my friend when he always answers his txts...he just rang me to say his father died over last weekend and he collapsed in a heap on the floor and has spent the whole week since in hospital. He got out this morning to all the txt messages I had sent him.
Dear heaven. This world never gets any easier to live in..

Happy very good wishes for your new life in Tennersee...will you have to change your accent???Hope you get rid of your cold soon....
thats me done for now. I am off before my stupid computer crashes again....

I don't know where to begin with this horrible day. a neighbor's car blew up with him in it this morning. I did not know him. people were evacuated to our bldg and the Mayor "gave" them to me to take care of. You can imagine how they all felt. A horrible sight they all witnessed. It took hours and a million officials to finally decide it was an accident. He had tanks of a gas in his car and one must have had a leak. when he either started the car or lit a cigarette the car exploded. These poor people were here for hours on end and were mentally exhausted. When they left all of them were so grateful for the help that I could hardly keep from crying. With hugs and kisses they left us and I finally had a chance to breathe. I feel like 2 days have gone by. Just read everyone's posts and can only say I'm glad we are together for the good and the bad times. Cause these people really didn't have a lot of friends I don't think. I'll see you all tomorrow and hope you have a great night. Good Morning Miss Shad!!!
It will be good to have her home with us for 2 days!!! Adios!

Hello, hello.
Looks like I am home in time to stop things self destructing around the joint.
Happy, I am so pleased for you and the job. It is going to be a stressful couple of months for you, but you will sail through it no doubt. There are times when one just has to change tack to try something else or be somewhere else. Sounds like this is your time. Poor mum though.
I'm here although it is 1.30 on Saturday morning I wanted to download the digital camera but I've got to reading and replying to journals until it got too much for my good mood. So I thought I would check in here and say hi and catch up so I can write proper (so to speak) in the morning.
To speed your day, check out the attachments. Flower from Melbourne.

Enjoy, now I am off to bed - nighty night all.

Red face

Oh Mel. Oh my goodnight. That poor poor man. Thank goodness it must have been very quick for him. Not that that helped the situation much when all of you must be wondering what has happened now in the streets where you live. Thank God no-one else was hurt. Well done you for doing your ministering angel job so well...the mayer must be proud of you!!
Shad welcome home to your own bed for the weekend. I bet you can't move for Sunday sitting on you with unabated glee!!!Lovely piccies of the flowers, thank you very much...especially the purple and white ones......sleep well and dream dreams of sweets and honey.
Welcome home to Linus's daddy...another one to be pleased in his own bed tonight.. keep safe and take more water with it next time....
Linus I hope you got your ironing pile done last night...do I hear that chocolate calling?

I am feeling very naughty in the eating stakes today. I have binged today which is totally totally out of order. And yes it was and a chicken caesar wrap after I had lunch of bread, with BUTTER and CHEESE with soup No dinner for me tonight.

I was SO darn annoyed with my support worker. Usually I see her on a Friday and we had vaguely agreed that we would go for a jacuzzi and a swim today but with me being on Klaricid I had already rung her to cancel and she said well I will ring you next week to see what you want to do. Well last night was almost too much for me to carry on and I promised a friend I would keep myself safe and ring the support worker in the morning. Well I did. And she said she had already filled in my slot with someone else so in other words...well. I am sure you get my gist. I was so angry to say the least... Coupled with this is the fact that my social worker does not work on a Friday so it was like wandering around in a psychiatric desert thinking I want out and I want out NOW.
But I am still here. I can't do it. Haven't got the guts incase I don't do it right and end up more ill and more angry with myself for my incompetance...
Thanks for all your support everyone. Especially over these last few days. Don't know what I would do without friends.

Shad~ OMG!!! So many beautiful daffodils! OH, Ruthie will love them too! LOL One of her favorites I think! Welcome Home!! Have a great at home weekend! don't bother reading my back journals!! I am back to my old self already having spent the best part of the day outside in the sun's warm rays! Very healing! See you in the morning!

Teel~ I do hate when things change and it's never to our benefit! LOL Sometimes it just seems to go beyond the pale! Almost unendurable....but we are tough cookies and will forge ahead!!!
Get out all the new books and cook something! Feel better soon!

Marie~ Not a bad food day but water wasn't good at all. I need to exercise or smack myself in the head!!! LOL Hope Ty feels good and the 2 of you have a nice weekend. Jen is going to see Ladder 49! I will watch Charlie Brown's Halloween and Thanksgiving! I may even watch the Christmas one!!!LOL

Wonder where everyone else is?!?!? Resting maybe??? I have done nothing but things for myself and Jen's bird. We spent some quality time together! I went even farther away from home today and every now and then you see a lovely home and some great architecture. Sometimes they seem so out of place now that cities have grown up around them! Nice ride and then made turkey vegetable soup with small white beans. Very tasty!
Have a nice night and good morning Sunshine in your OWN home for a change!!! See you all tomorrow!
