wow, WOW and did I say WOW! That is terrific.
Have you tried "camouflaging" the veggies? Some people like to put spinach in chocolate shakes... Roasting them gives them a nice nutty flavor. I also like raw cukes, I cut them up and put them in a tiptop bag with a little salt and eat them as a snack. The english ones are yummy.

Good luck and welcome to our little august group.

Welcome! Our numbers are growing!

Veggies......I happen to love veggies but they can get boring if you have just......veggies. I often cut them up and add them to my protein portion. For instance, chop red peppers and mushrooms, and add to ground beef (93% lean), cut up chicken, steak, pork tenderloin - whatever you're having. Saute in your olive oil allowance with lots of garlic, and some salt and pepper. If I haven't had all of my packets, I sometimes cook the rotini and add that. TONS of food and delicious and OP!

Another trick is I have a mocha smoothie every morning (choc drink mix, heaping tsp instant coffee, 6 oz water, lots of ice cubes to make it a thick milkshake consistency ...... and 1 cup of fresh spinach leaves. Blend in blender til nice and thick and frosty! I SWEAR to you, you cannot taste the spinach. Try it! It's like a Mocha Frappe from Starbucks.

PS - use high heat, and sauté your veggies first, then your meat.

Just a thought on cooking and oil...

Many threads back there were discussions on using the allotted oil to cook. The more seasoned IPers shared that the oil used for cooking does not give you enough ingested oil for your daily amount. Not enough is absorbed into the food and the coaches were telling them to add the oil directly onto the food. cook more with spray like Pam or even a tiny bit of oil, but add the tsp of olive oil directly on your food!

Some even found when they did it this way they had better losses from getting the correct amount each day!!

I put my oil allowance in my blended shakes so I don't forget to take it!

What great progress you have started!!

Veggies...have you tried grilling or roasting them? Zucchini, asparagus, fennel, broccoli, etc. all taste very good once roasted. IP approved cooking spray, some sea salt & pop in 400 - 425 degree oven for about 20 minutes.

Faux cinnamon apples was my recipe last week. It's really good.
Cut up some zucchini & mix with allspice & cinnamon. Add Walden Farms Apple Butter (no apples in it...just apple flavoring!). Bake at 325 until tender. Add more cinnamon if desired. I used 2 zucchini & had enough for 4 1 cup servings. It was a pleasant change!!

I'm 6 weeks in and still losing an average of 0.75 pounds per day and 1" off my waistline per week. No sign of any slowdown yet! This is the FIRST diet I've ever been on where I have NOT experienced any serious weight loss plateaus -- just straight down losses. The big thing for me is I have not cheated once in 6 weeks -- and I am sure that is contributing to my success. Keep up the great work everyone -- I am proud of you all!

WAY TO GO Avalon1957!!! HOORAY! It's so motivating not to only see the lbs' melt off from week to week but to be able to enjoy the health plan and to stick with it. So key and you hold it in your possession. You're killing it man and you should be proud of yourself, as well. Thanks for all of your friendly accolades that you share with everyone - so positive and helpful.

Have an awesome day/week On Plan!

Great job! 100% - that's the key! My 3rd weigh in is delayed til Friday (will be a 10 day weigh in rather than a week). SO hope it will be a good one. I can certainly tell the difference in how my clothes fit - so SOMETHING is happening, even if the scale doesn't correlate. But here's hoping!

Have a great day everyone!

Hey gang. Started my vacation today! Whoooo hoop 9 days off work! Went to the gun range this morning with my sweetie. Haven't fired a gun in years. My aim is way off.

Just finished a snack of some red peppers and about to start laundry. Think I'll have a doctor who/ firefly marathon later.
