I find that coming to this site first thing in the morning gets me going and reassures me that I can do this...with a little help from my friends (meaning you guys).

In another post, I mentioned doing this all alone, which to me means the people I see everyday, including my husband. Never have I gotten positive responses to my effort so I just ain't gonna tell 'em! This is my journey, my exploring the depths of my soul as to how important life and happiness and health is to me.

This issue has haunted me since I was a teen, more so in my married years - I want to explore the world with my head held up proudly, not seeing the disgust of strangers at a fat woman, not experiencing the snubs and the assumption that because I am overweight I am stupid. I do not want to leave this world having cheated myself of that opportunity.

That is why no OP has crossed my lips. Onwards and here is to a great week for the beginners!

Had my third weigh in tonight and lost another 4 pounds!!!
That's 14 pounds in 3 weeks!

2 is my magic number for this week!!!

2nd WI = -2lbs (TOM)
2 inches off my waist, and
2 inches off my thighs!!!

I LOVE MONDAYS, lol!!!!!!

I went to brunch yesterday and my friends took pictures and I am happy to say that my face is so much slimmer!!! Speaking of brunch, I must pat myself on the back because I successfully made it through OP!!! I had Iced Tea and water instead of the champagne. Normally I would order a double shot of chambord or peach schnapps to add to the champagne, but I didn't even miss it. Although, by the end of the brunch I did stick my tongue into DH glass right after the waiter topped up his bubbly just to I could get a taste, lol, it did the job!! it was really easy to stay on plan, i just loaded up my plate with lettuce and veggies and stuck to the raw bar, mostly ceviche and tuna tartare. I did have two small slices of mozzarella cheese as part of a caprese salad (darn it!!!) For some reason I thought that could count as if I put 1oz of milk in my coffee, DUH!!!

All in all i feel pretty good about my choices. I still had a blast even though I bypassed the Carb section, lol.

IP is really manageable!

Hi there I am at my 30 day mark today and im down 19.2 pounds my goal was 20 and im happy with how close I got. I had a slip up sat night I went to an old friends house to visit and forgot my lunch bag with my dinner in it on the kitchen counter my friend is vegan and had made salsa and guacamole she had baked tortilla chips and pita bread. I had missed my veggies at lunch as I was in a class all day. Id had an ip shake for breakfast and ip chicken soup for lunch. By 10pm I was starving so I had some baked tortilla chips and salsa, howecer I stuck to just drinking water and passed on the hard cider which was hard to do but I did it. By the time I got home at after 2am I was so tired I ended up just going to bed. Sunday I was op all day and same with today however I woke up with the start of s head cold/ sinus infection. Took a 12hr decongestant , the only way to breath and ease the headache. Hoping this doesnt affect the weight loss :/ but dr told me its viral and its just got to run its course which I hope is a short one. A few co workers and my mom are the only people who know im on ip diet. Got tired of the "thats not healthy" remarks so just quit telling people. Hope it stays as easy going as it has been so far I know the holidays are xoming and will be hard.

Just finished week 4 and its 28lbs...
Could not be happier. This really will be my final diet.

I SO agree! I think we Augusters are going to prove to be a group of overachievers and star pupils!! Remember, no dropouts in this class!!! Maybe we should start planning our 'reunion' We're in it for the long run and in it together!!
