Jenelle - that one pound is four sticks of butter, it's great! Congrats on your loss.

vega - I'm with you on skipping snacks. I'm fine otherwise, but will get soooo hungry that it's tempting to go OP.

sirak - hope the sleepiness has passed.

selena - how was that WI this morning? I'm hoping that your moving helped lose a bit!

I'm glad the weekend is over! We had a bowling banquet on Friday. DH is in charge of our couples league and no one else wanted to take food home - so we ended up with it all. Last night we got together with family, and it's almost all gone! What a relief! I don't think that I did too bad, but I'm definitely ready to get back to my normal way of eating. More veggies, less fat! The scale this morning shows very little damage, so hopefully, I can increase my water intake, increase my exercise and hopefully show a loss on Wednesday.

Another pound Lady J !Whooohoo - i just knew that you were being good !
It was a hard weekend. There was a birthday party, with inedible BBQ( burned) hot dogs and hamburgers, a Blue "My Little Pony" cake and then I came home and made homemade pizza for the guys. I was very good, eating only a little tiny bit of that cake encased in a blue buttercream orgy of fat. I know we all fall off the wagon sometimes. I just don't want to chase the wagon down the street trying to get back on.

The good news I saw 200 this morning. That was not 200.8 or 200.4 but 200.I did a five mile walking tape this morning and am getting another bag of lettuce at the store this afternoon. I am really going to make it!

What a wonderful thought to bring to the table. That's a classic line ! Sometimes I think about being 33 and 142 pounds and think how wonderful life was back then. Love was really blind.....
But now I am 43 and slowly getting back there !

Hello everyone! how are you doing?

Welcome Slender, hope you have a nice time around here!

Sirak: 200 sound soo great I dream about the day I reach there, congratulations!!

I'm finding really hard sticking to my diet this days, I'm really stressed about my job as we are moving, and I have also a new job position; and some friends are coming to visit this friday and I have lots to do at home. And I always eat when I'm nervious :S

Still I went to my monday weight it and lost one pound, is not much, but considering my last weight in was wednesday is pretty good, I feel my cloths are starting to look loose and that's great

Hi,
It's been a while since my last post but I love to read all your stories.
I've lost a total of 22lbs since I started 7 Jan.
I started at the gym yesterday and I feel pretty good. (I have fibro and CFS) It has been really easy this time. I love this WOE. I really feel like I will make it this time. I've only had one (planned) cheat. It's been great. I love being in control of my eating, not letting it control me.

It's not weigh in day of course, but I saw 197 this morning and just about fainted( not from lack of food). I was really good yesterday, I went to Mom's( the ancient diabetic) and managed to work out. I didn't expect the dip until tommorrow and not that much of a dip: I didn't even weigh yesterday.
I made my mini goal of 15 pounds this month three days early. I'm somewhat beside myself- DH is not real excited about my diet stuff. DS13 doesn't know that I weighed over 200 pounds and he is caught up in wanting to bench press 200 pounds. The dog got excited- but he gets excited every time I talk to him. I won't make a real announcement on " the other site" I mod on until the first.Even some of them seem to have trouble adjusting to the fact the head foodie in the group is now an exercise addict and has just about given up bread, rice and potatoes.
Thank you all for your support.I never imagined that I would be here back in January when I put my MIL on a plane and figured I might want to drop a few pounds now that the holidays, parties and company had all stopped.
No, I am not going away. I am going to buy a little house in onederland and stay here to cheer you on.
In Texas "we dance with the one that 'brung you".
I had a real non scale victory yesterday. There is a nice Goodwill not far from my Mom's house. I go there to look for books for DD2, as she really likes to be read to. I ran through the woman's department ( as anyone would do with a toddler in the shopping cart) and spied "my shirt". This was the same shirt I bought last year and loved to wear. It is a tropical print, green and never came out of the dryer with a wrinkle. The only difference is the shirt at the Thiftstore was a 16w and mine was a 22w.I paid the 3.99, took it home and tried it on. It fit !
I'm changing my ticker-I'm made it !

Jenny, wow - thanks! I didn't think of things that way [about the 1 pound being the same as 4 sticks of butter!]

I am so happy that you showed a 4 pound loss this week. Woo hoo! [I'm doing the happy dance with ya!]

Slenderapproach ... Welcome!

Karis, way to go with seeing 200!! I bet that felt so good, didn't it? Keep up the good work 'n before you know it, you'll be under the 200 mark!

Vega ... great going on your 1 pound loss and as Jenny said - one pound = 4 sticks of butter!

How far are you going to be moving?

What ever you do - don't give up 'cuz you've been doing so good! I know how stress can make a person want to eat ...

that's happened to me before and then before I know it, I tell myself why bother [but not this time!]

You can do it and don't forget that we're here for ya!

Welcome back,Karrie ... holy cow, you've done great. 22 pounds since the 1st of the year? Keep it up and you'll see that 138 before you know it!

Pinupdreams, welcome to you too ... we're so glad that you've joined us just as we are that slenderapproach has.

You'll find alot of friends here and much support as well.

Karis ... I just read down to your last post and see that you weighed in at 197. That is sooo awesome!!

I'm so glad that you're sticking around 'cuz we'd miss you if you didn't.

Also - you are such an encouragement ... I mean, when I see that you've gotten to onederland, it makes me realize that yes - I can do this too!!

As for me ...

I'm doing fairly good so far this week.

The only real goof I had is that I've made pudding two days in a row and even though it's fat free and sugar free, unfortunately, it's not calorie free.

I've been busy with working on trying to get organized and have made some progress with it which is good.

I tend to be a perfectionist and a totally detailed person so it's been taking up quite a bit of my time.

No walking for me ... I know I should though.

Yesterday my son come up and woke me up early [7:00 a.m. is early for me. ]

Anyways, I seldom ever eat in the mornings but yesterday a.m. I nearly made pancakes ... I wanted them really bad but thankfully I did not give in!

Guess I ought to get for now but will talk to you all soon.

Love,

Jennelle

Fitday has really helped me understand more about why I do lose and other weeks I lose a bunch. I look at other people's Fitdays to see what I can eat to improve my loss or why they are not losing. I have to measure everything and type a bunch of stuff as "custom" food- but helps me obtain a goal.
If you have any questions- pm or just shout out here Slender.
Also- I painted my toenails in your honor after reading the thread about looking good while losing weight.
Good Gosh Jennylou ! FOUR POUNDS !
That's 16 sticks of butter !
oh and speaking of food.... I have "forgotten" to buy pancake syrup on the last couple trips to the store. Lady J, I think pancakes would be difficult to turn down and I know that my kids really like them. I might have to turn to IHOP for help and have the baked cod again.
I have trouble with fatfree pudding at my house- it disappears faster than I can make it. Two packages and it's gone the next day. Then I have a half eaten container of coolwhip left, which usually means I need to make more pudding. I think the SF cheesecake pudding rocks !
Vega - I am thinking of you and hope that you survived the weekend !

I am trying to lose "one more pound " before the end of the month- so I gotta go run- literally !

Hi everyone! Karis, I am so happy for you!! And everyone who has lost lately!! That's super!!!

I did weigh in. I was up to 231. I'm sure some of that was that I had eaten late the night b4 and had too much salt, so maybe it's really a little less. But it's fixable. It could be worse the way I've had no time for exercise and I'm just about eating what I find. I hate being too busy to care for myself the way I should. There has to be a way to balance it. I don't know anymore.

Ok, well, I'm changing my ticker and challenging myself to get back on track, some way. Thanks for the support. Hope this hasn't brought any of you down today. I could always have had worse news. The sky isn't falling and there is always another day. Have a great weekend.
