Celrae---hahahah, no I didn't read your food log. The chips were just something I tossed out there because I'm certain almost everyone of us have cheated with chips... but thinking Sarge is EVERYWHERE isn't a bad thing!

Me1st--Elsewhere on the 3FC there is a Biggest Loser Competition. You can join as an "unofficial member" for the summer contest which started two or three weeks ago to make yourself more accountable or you can just hang with us til the Fall one starts. Don't worry, Sarge will make sure you know when to sign up for the next one. Here's the link if you want to check it out tho: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/bigg...hallenges-225/

pokey and rmc - Both of those are excellent ideas for watering my dog on the walk! For tonight I'll have to take a hat and a water bottle to share with him. I may have to go look at PetsMart this weekend and see if they have one of those there.

MadamB - You're right! No "quickie" walk! Ringo and I will make the 3 miles tonight...especially since I didn't have time at work to hit the office gym!

Celrae and Pokey - GREAT IDEA!!!!! Why don't the three of us have a side challenge to see who can log the most time working out each week? I definitely think that someone in this platoon can win the BL challenge! Why not one of us?

Tonight's dinner was a large salad with romaine lettuce, shredded cheese (carefully measured), grape tomatoes, and deli turkey with pomegranate vinaigrette dressing. It was delicious! Oh, and I drank water. I've been three full days now without a soda. I haven't had any ice cream or cheesecake or cake or anything unhealthy! I'm on a roll!!!! I want to keep this moving!

I tried to do a real push-up tonight. It didn't happen. I need to work on my upper body strength. I've always thought it would be cool to be able to do real push ups and not the girly ones. Someday...soon!!!!! Just keep working at it!!!!

Courtney - I'll see your exercise challenge and raise you a push-up challenge! I can do three or four regular push-ups before I have to take a break and try again, so I can certainly get better at them myself as well!

Celrae and Courtney - when are we starting? Do you guys know how long you worked out yesterday? If you do, then we can just start with yesterday if that works for you guys.

Courtney - You'd better log some serious time on that walk, because I'm about to go log another hour at my booty class, which will bring me to 3.5 hours for the week so far!

I think we should do the push-up challenge too, you and me (and Celrae, if she wants!). By the end of this summer, we'll be push-up MACHINES!

Crap, my father-in-law just left so there's no one to watch my daughter so I can go out and walk. So...let's hit up a 3 mile walk with Leslie Sansone! Who says you can't work out in the house?

Pokey - I'll see your push-up challenge! Hmmm...now to find some way to build up my strength so I can get the first one down! It will only get better from here! Well toned arms, here I come!!!!

Courtney - Check it:

http://hundredpushups.com/index.html

It promises to make us able to do 100 consecutive push-ups....

Can you do a plank? That's how I started doing push-ups - just holding my body in the plank position is difficult enough. Then I just worked into lowering myself and pushing back up!

I can not do the full push-up, just not there yet. I did 10 Burpee's today, my form still needs work. But, I will log all 1/2 A@@ push-up I do, I will get better.

Burpee

Is it fair to log 60 min. for every 3.5 miles walked? I don't time my walks, they are usually done with the dog or a friend and the pace varies.

Pokey - Wow! Thanks for that link! I'm bookmarking that one!

Celrae - I've never heard of a burpee before...except the seed company called Burpee. I'll have to check out that video and see what in the world that is!

Folks, I just did the 3 mile walk (45 minutes) on the Walk Away The Pounds DVD! My 3 year old was participating with me! LOL! She was so funny walking in place and swinging her arms along with the people on the screen! Every few minutes she'd turn around and high five me and yell, "Good job!" She's a riot!

Howdy platoon, hope your all having a great "no excuses" day!

Sarge - I'm eating my spinach and I would love to do some Popeye photo shopping, however I don't know how many platoon members would be up for it as most of them have not posted pictures of themselves. Maybe they are shy. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Me1st - I only spend about $30.00 a week feeding my furry clan so I bet your teen boys have that beat by a long shot. Hope your feeling better soon.

Courtney - Sorry they are making it tough on you at work but you are doing awesome. Way to stay strong and dedicated. I especially like your cheesecake donation. I gave my co-workers some chicken lunchmeat that was too fatty and some immatation crab meat which had too much sugar in it. I didn't read the labels well enough at the store. Oh well, live and learn. Keep up the good work. Your doing great!!!

I am doing ok. I really, really, wanted a cheeseburger today. I just couldn't get it out of my head. I really didn't want to cheat but once I get a craving I can't ignore it.

but instead of buying one I made one for dinner. Oh, did I mention my cheeseburger was made from 97% fat free burger or that I didn't have the cheese,....or the bread,... or the mayo, or tomatos,....THAT'S right I didn't cheat. I just had a nice patty with a little ketchup. Had you going though didn't I, bet you thought I cheated. No way sister friend, that's my promise to you. NO CHEATING.

Jeanettey - I was about to say !!!! Seeing you talk about a cheeseburger I was totally going to think that you'd cheated! Way to go with your awesome self in making a craving into a healthier choice!

Holy crap... I haven't been here in a couple days and there's a ton of pages!

I love all the competitons going on! This group rocks!

I bought myself a present today and am currently posting on my new laptop! My computer was crapping out and I can't go without a computer because of school sooooo....

I've been staying on track with my exercise but eating wasn't so good yesterday. Our power AND water went out so it was quickly decided that we were going out to eat for dinner. Nothing sucks more than realizing the salad that you ate was more calories than if you would have got a burger. grrr! I need to make a list of approved places/meals for future reference!

I hope everyone is having a great week! I'm off to lala land!

Hi everyone! Almost midweek, you guys are an inspiration.

Rated - I wish I could tell my 22 year old self just how beautiful she is! Sometimes that's something you don't really know until you're older. Getting healthier and fitter is great but never think that you aren't cute as a button now!

Enough with the sweet motherly talk - I'm planning to take you down in pounds this week!
