Got a couple licks of batter and I am done!
msim, I love cake boss!! I actually record every new episode so there is no chance I will miss it... I used to be baking obsessed but put that aside when I started this plan. I baked alot of cookies today and man it is hard to skip the BLT's (bites, licks and tastes). Glad we're both past that now!! Making grilled chicken for dinner.. I marinaded it in low fat italian dressing and 4 tbsp of spicy mustard for 2 hrs... I'll let you all know how it turns out :0)

Congrats RIP!!! I just made the 50lb mark this last week too! I went to WI on Friday and first off I was in major ketosis, which surprised me then I lost a few more lbs to put me at 50.5 lbs. It has been three months so it was time to do measurements. After adding and re-adding and then subtracting she double checked everything again. I lost 21 inches in one month for a total of 56 inches!!! The funny thing is when I hit the 40lb mark I rewarded myself with a message and I noticed that my arms fit on the table so much more comfortable. I realize that I am shrinking but I guess I just really haven't wrapped my brain around how much that really is. But when my MCR coach handed a 56 inch piece of ribbon I just broke down into tears.
We went out of town over the weekend and it was my birthday so I had a margarita, my first alcoholic beverage in over three months. It was a little hard to stay 100% on plan, but we are back home now and I am ready to go. Getting up at 5:30 and taking the dog for a good run. That's another thing I am not embarrassed to jog in public anymore.

BTW I do agree that the bathroom stalls do feel bigger and I am not talking about the handicap one either.

rip, Congratulations! All that hard work has really paid off! It's so hard to lose weight and I don't think many people appreciate how difficult it is. You should be very proud of yourself.

I'm still camera shy but hope to post my picture here one day.

TOBF,
CONGRATULATIONS on hitting the 50 mark. When I carry in my grocercies from the car I of course try to carry as much as I can and it is always heavy. The other day I weighed myself then went to the care and loaded by arms up with groceries, they were really heavy, I stepped on the scale with them and they only weighed 25 pounds, wow. I don't know how I ever carried it before! I just can't imagine how good I will feel another 50 pounds from now.

I am leaving for vacation in a few weeks. I so badly will want a foo-foo drink or two. Maybe lots of walking will make up for the drinks that I might have.

I will WI in a couple of hours I think I may have lost another pound.

GREAT JOB

msim, how did you stop with a couple licks...that's why I'm afraid to lick. You never realize how hard it ISN'T to lick (like I so wanted to tonight when I was making the amazing cheesecake).

Fifties lady, you're amazing!! And thanks for sharing your 'little' things that you've experienced so far. Fantastic!!
Noahsmama....why thank you for the nice compliment...you are so nice. It's the little things that make a difference!

Karen, I can't remember if you said you took suppliments or not...just curious since I am trying to do it without them, but I don't want my weight loss to slow down because of that.

Update on the chicken marinade... it was very good!! I don't know how much sodium is absorbed from the dressing into the chicken but overall the flavor was excellent and chicken was tender. Let me know if you try it :0)

I began the program on quite a few, Enhancer for metabolism, Cortitrim for belly fat, MRC 6 "lipo in a bottle", B12, MV, Flax. At one point i ran out of the Enhancer so I d/c this for a month and my losses slowed down. You would think this would be related to d/c the enhancer, unfortanutely at the same time I had started running. I did restart the Enhancer and noticed a boost in loss but this slowly tapered off and I was back to 2.5 lbs / week rather than 3-3.5. I d/c pretty much all of the supplements 3 weeks ago b/c I am jsut tired of taking all those pills and the enhancer was give me PVC's (heart palpitations). I was done with it. I'm still losing, I haven't noticed a huge difference in how I'm losing if any at all. The only thing I've been taking is MV, Flax, B6 (water weight - I eat more sea salt than I should probably) & B12 (energy). I have leftover pills at this point so I'll probably take some more later to finish off the bottles but I think I'm done and over with it. Sorry, not terribly helpful info :0)

Karen this was so very helpful...thank you. I am planning to purchase the B-12, but why do you take B 6 also?

B6 has diuretic properties and can help eliminate retained water :0)
