I agree Fifties Lady, he must be nuts! We are all vibrant, beautiful, intelligent and witty women that are committed to improving our health and lives. Men should be standing in line! It will be a telling moment when/if the blinders come off and he realizes who I really am!
To all my beautiful friends, have a great weekend. I can't wait to read of your many successes, on and off scale.
Hi everyone I joined MRC on May 5th and have been lurking on this forum for the entire three months and have finally decided to join in. I just wanted to thank all of you for sharing your experiences as it has really helped me along when I have had struggles.
Welcome! I was originally on MRC beginning in March and kinda just gave up, my heart was not in it. I am back now (for a week) and I am really comitted this time. The boards and people here are great! Good Luck.
Sorry I don't have the time at the moment to reply to all the lovely words of encouragement.
I think the overwhelming vote it for #2 Hopefully I will have enough hair left after my cut and color on the 29th. Bring both pics with me to the salon to see what they can do.
Horrors of horrors I will post some pics from the wedding. Probably not till the week after though as we have to go to TX right after the wedding.
I have been out of the country for 6 weeks and have not kept up with you all. I am happy to say I have ONLY gained 5 pounds back... being completely off plan for 6 weeks. I am looking forward to getting back on plan Monday Morning!

Great job GWE....you must of at least ate healthy....glad to have you back.
My laptop has been on the fritz and here I was dying to talk to all of you this week!
Kristalin, I love both hairststyles but I like #1 the best. But if you've decided on #2, then you will look gorgeous also. Bring both pictures in to your stylist.
I just went darker with my hair myself. The highlight were pretty, but I sort of look washed out if I go lighter.
GWE, that is fanastic!
Welcome, TOBF!
Lori, believe it or not it probably has nothing to do with you. He may not even be AWARE he's acting different and the next time you see him it may be back to normal
Glad you like your job. I still love mine after all these years.
I have been passing my size 18s and 20s to a fellow MRC-er when they became too big for me. Now I have a problem. I have very few 16s, and hopefully I won't be in them long. I would love it if some one could pass clothes to me as they lose.
I apologise if that sounds "tacky". My forum name is Skinny Wallet, and I named myself that, because I just believe in being frugal when I can. When I do splurge, as I did for the MRC program, I try to cut back in other areas, like clothing. Still, I prefer to look like someone other than the Salvation Army dressed me. (although I have found great stuff there and at Goodwill and Savers. Now when I need stuff, I am coming up empty-handed. Wonder why you can find great stuff at thrift stores when you DON'T need it?)
I need to dress "professionally" and "casual work-place" for work and Toastmasters. Otherwise, I am a jeans and tee shirts kind of gal. I would be happy to pay a nominal amount, and/or postage, and/or gas money if you are in Denver Metro/ColoradoSprings/Fort Collins/Greeley. If there is anyone out there who no longer needs their size 16's or 14's, you can email me privately, and we can discuss the hows. Thanks.
I'm not sure if anyone else has given you this suggestion, but it is worth repeating. Go check out your local Goodwill stores. Some people really have a negative mind-set when it comes to second hand shops but you can often times find the best deals there, especially if you don't plan on being in a particular size for long (or even if you will be.) I have found tons of great items in both CA and NE at the local Goodwill stores. I even find items for my children (name brand things... ie Abercrombie, American Eagle, etc.) where I end up paying $3.00 for a shirt that cost $40-50 in the store. And when you drop that weight and the 16"s & 14's don't fit anymore you can easily donate them back without feeling guilty about spending a lot of $$$ on the items!
Hi everyone. I am new to MRC, This is my third week...I think *fingers crossed* that I will get to sign the 10 lb board tomorrow. This plan is just amazing. I have a long way to go, but this really makes it seem attainable. I appreciate all the great advice, encouragement and recipes I have found on this board.

I am a goodwill junkie now!!! After I found Ann Taylor stuff I love shopping there. You have to have time to look but the finds can be great. I was just there yesterday and left with 2 pairs of jeans, 4 dress pants and a LBD for $38!!! Love it!
My plan ends on September 1st. I am debating re-enrolling for an additional 17 weeks which would take me basically to the New Year. And I figure if I haven't hit my goal by then I will just do stabilization and stay there. But I don't know if I can do emtionally, physically, financially another 4 months on program. Or If I should just try and do it on my own.
How long do you think you could stay on the MRC program?
Kristalin180,
Think back to when you started, I bet you feel better emotionally and physically then you did before you started the program so please don't go backwards. I sure understand the financial portion it can be a real drain. I have wondered myself if I can do it all myself after my contract is up and frankly I don't know. But for me I think as long as I had HNS along with multi-vitamin and flax that I could.
Whatever you decide keep positive. I have noticed many up's and downs for myself the past couple of weeks for no particular reason. I ate off plan all weekend and I had never really eaten off plan the 3 months I have been doing this. For some reason I looked in the mirror and saw the same person I saw three months ago and I think it emotionally drained me. I have been back on plan since Sunday with no creamies, etc. Following the first 5 day menu and I have lost and feel great.
Think of all the reasons you started the program and how much better I bet you feel.
Hang in there.
MSIM,
Hurricanes have been my only concern, along with leaving 2 teenagers home but I think even with a hurricane WDW will be awesome, always has been in the past. Staying at Animal Kingdom Villas, I am so excited\ I already know I will be more comfortable in those teeny-weenie airplane seats!
All,
Earlier I mentioned that I ate off plan Friday and Saturday and I mean really off plan, chip, kettle corn, crap like that. I just saw myself as I looked almost 50 pounds ago. I know I have changed so much but the mirror wanted to lie to me this weekend. Has that ever happened to any of you? I am back on plan now and don't ever want to go through that again. I almost felt like I was purposely trying to sabbatoge (misspelled) myself. I did not go weigh in Monday and I have NEVER skipped a weigh in. I will be there Friday though.

Hey Kristalin,
I too am running out of program, mine would have ended end of August but I've "won" a few extra mo. by doing some promos at the center, purchasing enhancer x 2 got me 2 weeks each, coming for WI twice a week for a mo. got me another month. This has extended me through October but I too will probably have to resign through the end of the year. Even though I "only" have 50 lbs more to lose, I do not doubt this half of the journey will still be challenging an I am determined to get it off and will need all the help and support I can get to do it, I started this program to get to that goal and I will absolutely finish this no matter what it takes b/c I know I am worth it and so are you!! Do whatever you can to make it, find substitutes for HNS, drink less HNS if necessary but stick with it and keep going. I think there shouldn't be a time limit to your plan, keep going until you are at what you are comfortable and happy with. You can do this 4 more months and then some. as rip said, think back to why you started this whole thing and remember that how you feel now will only get better as you continue to lose the weight and get to goal. Good luck!

Started MRC 5/9/09
Hey rip, don't be so hard on yourself. We all have bad moments/days, get scared of what's happening to us and this can lead to self sabbotage. There is almost something comforting about the "old" us and there may be some aspect of that you miss or still want but trust me, the future holds so much more for you. Glad you're back OP and remember, you're worth it!!
Karen1234,
Thank you for the kind words. I need to get on the site when I get off plan or feel like I need a boost not just when I am happy about tthe progress.
And wow you are halfway there, awesome. I am so close to that 50. I remember when I started and looked at the 50pd board it was so far away but now that I am almost there I look at it and think 'that is me' and I am proud of myself
I have also decided that once I get the 50 pd. board I am going to have my hubby take a pic. for me to post instead of the lady running on the treadmill then each 10 pounds I will change the pic.

You know what, that's a good idea. Time to stop being anonymous, instead be proud of who I am and my accomplishment right? I think I'll do the same :0)
