were you not supposed to be eating small multiple meals due to the surgery before? maybe you shud go back and talk to them because if you're not psyched to start it's only going to be harder than it has to be.

i did have small meals after my surgery before but now I'm eating 'normal' meals 3 x's a day. I am very frustrated and don't believe there's any way that I can last eating this way until I reach my goal weight. I was excited to start the program and from what I've read on here knew that the first 4 days would be rought but that it would get better and now I have lost the faith and have no drive what so ever.

I think the before, during and after pictures are very inspiring for others (and yourself when you need a pick-me-up!). I say definitely post a 1/2 way picture!

Is this the meta balance menu?

I think that it is based on both time and/or number of posts.

Good afternoon!

I did my 2nd peer inspiration speech last night at the center and I think it went well. There wasn't an empty seat, so I take that as a good sign! I was nervous, but not as nervous as the first time. I added quite a bit of new info in there since the first time I did the speech, I was at 114lbs lost and now I'm done (at 185lbs lost). I posted it in my blog if you'd like to read it; I've also added a before/after pic.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks, greatgal! That helps, and I really appreciate all the support here. It is really the only support i get since I don't have a center.

Hi Janett,
I've really struggled with this as well and still do despite 9 flax/day and the Internal Cleanser at least every other day, sometimes daily. It helps somewhat at first but not long-term. I have discovered that Dieter's Tea that has the natural laxative Senna in it does work well. I've only used it twice, mostly when desperate due to the pain and discomfort. A pill alternative is Senokot (same ingredients). I would not recommend regular or daily use - can make the colon lazy like other laxative abuse. I never had this problem before MRC so I just didn't expect it but I prefer the tea or senna to passing marbles/bricks!

Hope this helps

I am so happy. First I was getting a little obsessed with weighing myself so I got rid of my scale and now I'm just recording what my center is telling me so it's a little higher cause it's later in the day and I'm wearing clothes but it's still good.

The other reason I'm happy is because I lost 2 1/2 pounds since Tuesday which puts me at 13 pounds so almost to 15! I also did body composition and I've lost 13 inches so more than a foot of my body is gone and I've lost no muscle mass or water only fat. It may have taken 4 weeks but my body has burned off 13 pounds of fat. It makes me so happy and really helps me commit more to the program knowing it actually works.

I feel so much better now. I called my center back and explained how I felt and they put me on the MetaSlim-Plus 3-meal plan I think it's the beige menu?! I'm excited now and hopefully will be able to manage.

I have a question about the recipes though. It seems like a lot of them use the cream HNS. So I probably can't try most of them until after day 5?

Wow there are a lot of new faces on here. I guess that's what I get for not checking in for 6 weeks. I have re-enrolled. At my lowest weight, I was 162, I think, but when my husband got back from Iraq, things just went out the window. That first week was eating out, people having us over, family parties, etc., and I gained ten pounds. I lost it the next week, but then we went on vacation, and I've been dealing with that extra 15 ever since.

I was supposed to go into stabilization, but I just decided that I needed something to kick me out of the diet/cheat/diet/cheat mode, so I started again with preconditioning, and I've lost 10 lbs. in five days! I didn't even lose that much in preconditioning the first time around. I feel a lot more motivated now that I have had a "fresh start" of sorts.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi again. I hope everyone else is doing well!

Default Family Gatherings

Boy - yesterday was crazy and I managed through it without feeling deprived or cheating...my son is a senior and graduating next month and very involved in the TV program at his local high school. Last night was their awards ceremony and film festival...they have won national, state and regional contests...so I was up at 4:00am to prepare the dinner for 15 teenagers...RIBS...I also planned all my meals prior to this day so I would not be tempted by the huge spread, potato salad, coleslaw, corn etc...you get the picture. I came home from work put the ribs in the oven, ATE my OP meal when to film festival, got home put together the spread and sat at the table drinking my water having a great time just chatting with all the kids and my family...never once did I look over at the piled of ribs thinking I was being deprived...everyone knew I was on "a program" diet and I told them all I had already eaten my dinner...so just ENJOY and they did. I had just signed the 30 pound board and was not going back...
