  • Quote: I asked about the fat and carb blocker at my center and they said if was for maintenence only. I wish I could have some to help get me through my birthday weekend. LOL!

    Happy early b-day!!!
  • Quick Question
Does anyone know if the chocolate drink HNS is a creamy or a clear. A rep at my center said it was a clear but this is also the same one that told me the chocolate soy crisps were a regular HNS as well and not a creamy (and yes, I've used it as such) and I just found out 2 days ago it was a creamy!! Aaahhh!! That could explain the plateau, having pudding and soy crisps in one day or pudding and chocolate drink etc. I just thought about this tonight, I feel kinda dumb to have not thought of it earlier though ... Any input?
  • Quote: I started MRC last week and this week I had lost 6 pounds!! I am so happy. I think this plan is so easy to stick to. My only problem is finding the time to drink all the protien drinks.

    Welcome!

Lmickley: HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY!! HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND

On my list they are a creamy. Anything with chocolate in it I would say would be a creamy.

Hi Karen! Not sure which chocolate drink you're talking about but.....if it's the pre-mixed chocolate HNS they count as a creamy and you can have one a day. If you're talking about the chocolate meal replacement shakes you can only have them 3 times a week and they count as a bar and a creamy so you can't have a creamy the same day. Someone told me the meal replacement shakes have a lot more carbs so it could slow down your weightloss if you are sensitive to carbs. Hope that answers your question
  • On the subject of meal replacements. The bars actually have more carbs in them than the shakes. I noticed with the bars I'm always hungrier after them and want to eat more because of the carb content but the shakes are hard for me to finish. The carb content isn't as high and the protein is 35g so it's a lot of protein. They say to mix it with 16oz water and I always mix it with a lot more so I'm stuffed after I finish a shake whereas the bars make me hungrier.
  • I was off plan for about 24 hours for a birthday and work function and now feel terrible! I started back up this morning and still drank my HNS and wasn't off plan for every meal for those 24 hours but WI is tomorrow and I am afraid that I have made no progress during my first week.

Although, Hubby said I looked thinner on the top of my ribs (which is where i gain/lose first) so maybe I lost a little...
  • I had my WI this morning and I lost 3 pounds...the 3 pounds I gained last week with my cheating....so now I am back on track and I feel like I did day one of the program. I went to the gym this morning after WI, I mowed the lawn and I am thinking about doing some Wii this afternoon. I GOTTA get to Onderland!!! Maybe by Monday???
  • Hey Keepin! How's it going? I am still doing great! Not cheated at all!!! I have been sick the last couple of days, but on the plus side, i lost two more pounds!! LOL.. I have 14 lbs left to get to "onderland" I really want to get there by my trip to Florida in June!! My clothes are starting to really hang on me, but I don't want to buy any until I get to my goal, so I am going to have to start working my way back through my closet. you know that part of the closet that you had been avoiding because you knew you couldn't fit into it any more! Feels pretty good!!

That's so awesome and congratulations!! I too am hoping to get in the '1's soon (maybe in the next week or so I hope). My home scales said 202.5 this morning but I know their scales are 2-3 pounds heavier so we'll jsut wait and see.

So glad you are back on track, Bonnie! Congrats on the 3 lbs! You'll conquer that 198 curse soon

It's going great! I went to WI today and was down 4 lbs! I was pretty excited. That puts me at 156 and I'm really hoping to get to 150 someday. It's amazing to me that I'm still losing with all the extra food I've been getting on stabilization. By the way, for all of you who are curious, week 5 is the addition of a fat each day (ie butter, sour cream, cream cheese etc.) and you also get to have your fruit every morning for breakfast instead of 3 days a week. I can't wait to have peanut butter on my toast in the morning

You are doing awesome!! Sticking to plan 100% is amazing!! Having onederland so close is extra motivation! I think 14 lbs. by June is doable! I started at about the same weight as you did and I don't think I had to buy any new close until after I was below 200. I had so many clothes in my closet that were too small. I had gotten rid of anything smaller than a 16 though so once I got there, I had to go shopping!! It was hard too, though, because I didn't want to buy too much since I knew I wasn't going to be in them for very long. Keep it up.....you can do it!

You're soooo close!! You'll be there by next week
  • AAARRRRGGGGG....Well just came back from WI and I think I have hit my first plateau. I am still 198 same as I was last week...Now don't get me wrong I love being in ONEderland. I haven't been under 200 lbs in a few years but this is the first time I haven't lost anything since starting this plan in Mid March.

I am wondering if my exercise has anything to do with me slowing. I get on my treadmill Monday thru Fri for about 30-45 minutes a night. I do walking and lately have started jogging again (its amazing I haven't jogged in 10 years but I am able to do more jogging and less walking every night) and I find I look forward to it. It helps me blow off steam and stress from earlier in the day. I was wondering do you think that much exercise is too much and slowing my weight loss and maybe I need to cut back?

For those who do exercise how many days a week and how long do you do it for? Also just cardio or weights too?
  • My plan says to do 30 min/3 times a week. I usually try to walk/bike for 30 min. at least every other day. I also have a Biggest Loser Body bootcamp DVD that I love that incorporates weights. I also have the Yoga one too that I like as well. I use these when the weather's not good outside.
  • Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone!

This definitely answers my q's... I don't know why I just realized/thought about it but it's a good thing I did. Up until yesterday I was drinking about 2/day of the chocolate pre-mixed HNS drinks, seriously. I've been avoiding pudding for the last week thinking this is what is slowing me down. Oddly enough, scale said 223 this am which brings me to 2.5 lbs lost since Saturday so at least it does appear I've busted through that hateful plateau .... We'll see what MRC center scale says tomorrow. I knew all that chocolate in one day was too good to be true!!! Thanks all. Did everyone see the report on the news about Hydroxycut tonight? I don't know about all of you but I've tried this product, never worked for me and I didn't take it for long but it still lingers in the cabinet. FDA and the Mfgr is pulling the drug from OTC so I'm going to get rid of mine. Tell your family/friends JIK. Take Care everyone and have a great weekend!
