I don't know if your consultant went over this with you but pretty much everyone hits a plateau in days 7-10. Mine lasted 10 days, it was horrible. Your weight will plateau and then drop and then plateau and so on and so forth. Your body is going to stop for awhile as it adjusts and sometimes you'll still be losing inches but nothing on the scale. There's also a chance you'll gain a little and then it'll come off. The most important thing is to stick with the diet. If you quit or start cheating a lot then you won't start losing again but if you stick with it eventually the scale will start moving. I was getting really discouraged and then I lost 1/2 pound and now I've lost 1 1/2 pounds since Friday, probably more now since I weighed in yesterday. I'm also a slow loser my body doesn't like to give up fat.

You will plateau and as long as you stick to the diet you will start losing weight again. This will happen multiple times in your journey.

Just keep telling yourself it's normal and it's good for your body to stop and adjust every once in awhile.

have y'all ever tried to freeze one of the concentrates like a popsicle? i thought about that the other day and wondered if it wld be any good since they're pretty good just straight from the package. i didn't know how they wld freeze though. just throw the package in the freezer and cut the top off when it's frozen i guess...... *shrug*

also, how bad is sugar free gum for you REALLY? i mean, it's sugarless, got next to nothing in it, <5 calories per piece *the stride i'm chewing* and i'm using it instead of cough drops so i've constantly got a piece in my mouth. i can't stand when it runs out of flavor so the last two days i've gone through 2 packs and i hadn't used ANY before this. i wanted to avoid the sugar in the cough drops as much as possible but i'm wondering why they say to only have 3 pieces of sugarless gum per day? anyone know?
I have more gum than I am suppposed to some days. I do try to half the sticks of gum sometimes. I was wondering about how the gum would affect weightloss as well as the toothpast and mouthwash thing; which sounds a little weird to me.

Hi! I signed up at MRC and, to tell you the truth, I'm kind of freaking out after looking at the Pre-conditioning menu! I know this is only for 4 days, but I'm not a fan of fish. Does anyone have any meal ideas for me. My consultant said the diet becomes MORE restrictive after this, but I think she must be mistaken (I hope). I'm looking for support here, and I've seen posts from several people who also live in CO. I believe I have good discipline, but like I said, I'm kind of freaking out about how restrictive this looks so far. Help!

Oops! Meant to say, I signed up TODAY at MRC. Also, can anyone tell me how to subscribe to this thread, and how to insert a "progress chart" in my posts? Thanks!

I mix half a can of the soda with the HNS and usually freeze them in a small bowl. I think it is a great snack!

It gets more restrictive. You'll move to different menus as you lose weight that will have more choices in them but the first 10 days are restrictive, the first 4 are really restrictive. I just told myself you can do anything for 4 days and you can do anything for 10 days and then you get more choices. Once you start really losing weight it's worth it.

I chew a ton of gum every day!! I know you're only supposed to have a couple of pieces a day but it hasn't slowed me down that I can tell.

Im not sure if this happens to everyone or if I am doing something wrong. I have my first food class on Friday where I will get my menu and be able to buy drinks. I signed up for 17weeks. I am going to the Westminster CO location. Is there anyone else here that goes to that center? Happy to be here and I am so excited to start this!
Thanks Jessica
I'm hardly ever hungry either. It's normal because our blood sugar levels stay so even, not to mention all the water we're drinking!

I know how you feel because I felt the same way the entire time I was on plan! I kept thinking that I would get to a certain point and be stuck there forever. I was very skeptical in the beginning when they guaranteed me 72 lbs. in 6 months. I thought, "Right, I'll believe it when I see it!" Needless to say, I am thrilled I was wrong! You will hit plateaus occasionally but if you stay on plan and don't give up, you will lose. Congrats on getting off to a great start!

Hi everyone! I went to WI last night and didn't lose an ounce. I have been on the program almost 3 weeks. I guess this is the dreaded plateau that I keep reading about. I am so glad I have found this site. If I hadn't had the advice from all of you I would have been even more upset about the lack of a loss. They did switch me from the meta balance menu to the green menu which I am happy about as it has more protein, and more choices than the meta balance.

I loaded up on HNS and plan to keep at it one day at a time. We will see what my Saturday WI brings. Thanks to everyone for your willingness to share to help newbies like me.

Hi, everyone! I started the Veg plan a few days ago because I was a vegetarian in my past and eating all the meat (6oz) is really hard for me sometimes. It kind of grosses me out sometimes. Anyway, so I weigh at home every morning and I had put on a pound today since yesterday!! I have completely followed the diet, I am getting frustrated. I know alot on the veg plan is processed fake meats, but I eat eggs and cheese and only have one fake meat a day at dinner. I hope it is not slowing me down! I do love fish and seafood, but chicken, beef and pork are not my faves! I am suppossed to go WI again on saturday since I am 1.5 lbs from getting the green menu. I guess I will try to stick out the veg plan until then and see if I loose, but I wonder if I could just always go back to meta slim and eat fish only. Any advices?

It could just be your body adjusting to the change in menus. I'm not familiar with the veg plan but it probably has more carbs so you could be retaining water.

The green menu takes you from 6 oz. protein to 4 ozs. protein which might make it easier for you to stomach if you decide to go back to it. I'm not a vegetarian but it was even hard for me to get the 6 ozs. of meat down so I know how you feel.

BTW, 51 lbs. down is awesome!!

Thanks. I lost most of it before MRC, just calorie counting. But that got old and more difficult. I needed to be accountable. I guess I see how the veg menu goes until WI on Sat. One thing I do not like about it is your only veg choice at lunch is salad.

Hello everyone, I am on the blue menu and need advice. There are protein drinks that people are buying other than the center. Does anyone have a suggestion of a good place to purchase them?
Another question for those of you who are in MRC for a long time, will there ever be MILK added again?

I think I figured it out, but how do you get your ticker to appear in each message? Do you have to copy/paste the link each time you post?

Sorry for all the newby questions..but I'm still learning!
