Welcome and congratulations!!I usually drink my HNS's with my meals. It helps break the monotony of only drinking water for me. Plus I just love them. My favorites are the mixed berry, kiwi-melon, grape, and orange concentrates.

Hi Bonnie! Good to "see" you again! Hang in there girl, you have done amazing and you are going to succeed! I think that sometimes we focus too much on a number and then we stress ourselves and it keeps us from getting there. I have had a slow month as far as loses go. 2 weeks ago I just decided in my mind that I was not going to focus on anything but eating on plan and I didn't even get on my scale for a few days, amazingly enough the darn thing did move in the right direction! Keep your chin up, you are going to get to onederland very very soon!

Hi Noahs mama! Don't worry about the pills, they are just suppose to enhance your weight loss. There have been many meals that I have not taken my pills at all!

I can easily stay away from the pastries, but if I don't eat anything I will feel like I am being rude and unappreciative. How would you guys handle it? Should I try to pick and look like I'm eating or try to eat only 40 cals of a bagel? I know I have little cheats sometimes, but I try not to make a habit of it. Advice please?
HI! I just wanted to wish you a very happy birthday! As far as the breakfast goes, if it was me I think I would nibble on the bagel and tell them that you just don't have much of an appetite but you appreciate all they did for you! Drink lots of water that day! Good luck and have a great birthday weekend!!

[QUOTE=lcmaly;2720761]I did breakdown during my visit at the center last night. I'm so frustrated with not being able to go out for dinner and drinks. My life consists of work, working out and watching tv. I don't have kids...my husband just started his own business in Dec 2008 so he's hardly ever home...and my dogs are lazy! So I've been spending A LOT of time alone at home since on this diet and it's driving me crazy. I can't wait till I can go out and have a drink again./QUOTE]

Hi! I feel your frustration! I know what you mean about socializing, we can handle the meal part because we know what we can and can't have but when I am there I want to have a drink with them! To be perfectly honest with you, I have had a few drinks while on this diet. I pay for it though....I go a week with no losses so it has slowed me down a lot! Once we get to maintenance we should be able to handle it cause if we don't lose...it's ok...lol!

Thank you! They were so excited at the center, I think I was in shock, I weighed at home this morning but so many times my scale is way off of theirs plus I had my breakfast and 40 ozs of water....lol!

Thank you! There were alot of WI's where I stayed the same or lost .5 after being perfectly on plan. I was also on plateaus that lasted weeks. The best advise I can give you is to remain focused and on plan and you will bust the plateau. So many times it is all mental, we just need to persevere! Drink lots of water, I drink 80-100 oz a day, plus I also take one B6 with each meal, they are suppose to be natural diuretics.

I hope everyone has a great rest of the week! I will continue to come here and read and respond to your posts, this forum has been here for me for the last almost 4 months. To be honest, I don't know if I could have done it without you all! I will let you all know about stabilization, like Keepingonandon does and maintenance....once I get there, so that you will know what is in store for you. Take care....love you all

I DEFINITELY would be cheating if my goal weight wasn't so darn close. I hope to be at goal by end of May. Though I do have a bachelorette party to go to on May 23rd and even if I'm not at goal...I am DRINKING AND EATING! I'm not flying 1000 miles for my friend that I've known half my life to NOT celebrate by having some drinks and eating good food.

You are very close to getting there! Just stay on plan from now until then and see how close you are to your goal when the 23rd rolls around....who knows, you might just be there by then, you have 3 weeks between now and then! Stay focused! I bought the carb/fat blocker and I take it half an hour before I eat at a restaurant, you might want to try that if you are eating out, I seem to be doing okay with it when I take it.

Good luck and I know you will do great!

I actually already have that, and I agree, it must work great! On day 4 of starting this thing I went on a week-long trip for work. Every meal was eating out. Breakfast and lunch were a little easier to find perfect OP options but dinner was a little more difficult so I took the fat and carb blocker before each of my dinners. I lost 4 lbs during my trip so it must have worked!

I asked about the fat and carb blocker at my center and they said if was for maintenence only. I wish I could have some to help get me through my birthday weekend. LOL!

That's too bad. They did caution me to only use it if absolutely necessary. They said they'd be mad if I used up a "month's supply" in an actual month. I haven't used it since my trip so I think I'm okay.

Happy Birthday by the way!

Default Carb blocker

It's funny how different each center is, they actually put the carb/fat blocker in with the optional starter kit and told us to use it when we go out to dinner. I've been using it since I started. Go figure.

I have to say that I tried grape tomatos tonight for the first time and I HATED them, argh! That taste was just gross. I wished I did b/c that would give me something else to add to my salads.

I've always thoguht I was a picky eater and I've just amazed myself this week. I had french toast for the first time and cucumbers and spinach today!! I love the apple salad out of the cookbok and the strawberry/chicken spinach salad!!

They told me that fat/carb blocker should be used for parties and eating out if necessary but not all the time. I may have to get some just in case and carry it with me.
